Hi all
This is a moded rom from SE based on 2.1.1A.0.16 firmware.
A big thanks to subhankar.ds for let me use his theme on my mod
Idea
My idea was to give you an android 2.1 SE firmware almost completely cleaned from junk.
This is already with JIT, Sysctl and blá, blá, blá. you know the rest

Introduction
This was based on 2.1.1A.0.16 with the latest baseband available (2.1.58) now.
Don`t know if this will work on any other .5x baseband (i think so, but...).
If you had any doubt about that, please flash your phone through Flashtool the 58 baseband.

Would this work on .54/.55 baseband?
Initially installed over Bitsnacker 2.1 (wipe data, clear partition cache, clear dalvik cache, clear battery stats and fix permissions then install custom zip) and wifi did not connect. Finds it, tries to connect but then disconnects -- tried for a while then...
Flashed a stock SE firmware (435) and then rooted, installed xrecovery and installed this again, same problem with wifi -- any fix or suggestion please, thank you in advance...
EDIT: xrecovery seems to be broken with this, cannot enter it upon reboot,
tried flashing it again through flashtool, successful but still cannot enter it.
EDIT 2: Baseband was updated to .58 on Bitsnacker and stock before flashing.
Update: Flashed SE stock 2.1.1A.0.16 then flashed but still no luck with WiFi.
Ahh...
rendeiro2005, Does this problem happen for you?
For me the same, BB .58 ROM instaled via XRecovery now i dont have xrec, busybox and any tipe of conection =/
Any idea before i start flashing the phone from stock

wifi and xrecovery working?
@superleeds27
Like i said on 1st post i`m not sure about other baseband but it`s supposed to work, but...
@ blingin
had to look closely about xRecovery issue, thks for pointing that
about wifi that`s odd cause i don`t have any issue with that did you try to go on settings > sonyericsson and download configurations?
@ironjose
try the same as abobe
---
had to search the cause for xRecovery in the mean time try, on last version of flashtool, and upgrade xRecovery.

Tried the download configuration option but no luck with wifi, tried to get an IP then shows unsuccessful.
xRecovery still broken after installation through new flashtool.
What steps did you use to install this to get wifi working, will try the same, thanks in advance...
the problem on xrecovery, probably is due to the version of busybox. something like 1.18... is installed and it has to be on version v1.15.3 (i think...)...(there for...)
Sir rendeiro...It mess my phone... cannot cannot connect the WIFi... xrecovey erased... i have to flash my phone inorder to work...
No Signal / WIFI / unknown baseband issues
Just follow these simple steps from usmanjavid and should work
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=12131561&postcount=1
Why dont you all only update the baseband to .58...there is no big difference from 2.1.A.0.435 to 2.1.1.A.0.16 except the baseband.
Download the 2.1.58 baseband here...I recommend to take a backup with xRecovery first because I had to run a recovery after flashing the baseband but all is okay now...unless SE desides to upgrade to 2.2 Froyo...which they said will not happen, this is all you need for staying on 2.1 Eclair...but offcourse there are 2.2 or 2.3 roms out here but camera recording is not working on most of them...
hi
can you give detailed "Sysctl pre-installed and tweaked (added);" information ?
and, can u separately give a xrecovery zip for the reboot options to be appear ? (bb 58, sw .016)

To create a rooted system.img for others:
install xRecovery, use xRecovery to flash original system.img, while still in recovery, push su to /system/bin/ and superuser.apk to /system/app.
chmod 4755 /system/bin/su
chmod 755 /system/app/superuser.apk
now, reinstall xRecovery (3 files to /system/bin/)
Ok, done.
Reboot to xRecovery, create backup, share system.img from your backup.
P.S. i believe flashing kernel.img only from new update should be enough, other improvements are only in timescape ui, don't think anyone cares.

Not 2.2 SE start working on 2.3
They have started working for gingerbread but it doesnt mention its for x10 or x8
Thats what worries me!
But before that the new X12 will have 2.2 android with mean that SE can and will release 2.2 first this year and after that the X12 will get an update to 2.3
I know there is no big changes, but I'm just to excited to modify this new firmware and share with you guys.
edit: yaffs image for unyaffs method is ready. need someone to test it.
x12 wont be released with 2.2 froyo directly with gingerbread
Lets i hope we get 2.3 if not atleast froyo and multitouch!
If this is true i suppose that we also will get 2.3 and as SE say that the X12 will be out for the Barcelona convention on 18 February i thing that January will be an exiting month for the XPERIA owners.
So, is it worth the trouble all over again? Is there really a new keyboard like for the X10?

Details:This is a Stock SonyEricsson 2.1 2.0.2.A.0.24 Rom(rooted with JIT v2 Enabled) baseband 2.0.49,Xrecovery installed.it has been updated now,all the previous problems, for e.g old baseband, google account problems and others have been rectified and now it is with the latest JIT v2,all the previous download links have been updated to this new ROM.
How to install:
There are two steps to install,u can opt for any of them if one does not work
1.Copy the zip file[SK_007(Stock)Rom_final-JIT-v2.zip] to the root of your sd card, then reboot into xRecovery and click intall custom zip, then select SK_007(Stock)Rom_final-JIT-v2.zip ,it will start installing it,when finished reboot your device and Voila! its done,Enjoy.....
2.After downloading [SK_007(Stock)Rom_final-JIT-v2.zip] extract it,you will find a folder named "2010-12-29.18.53.53".Copy the following folder in xrecovery/backup folder in your sd card, after that reboot your X10 into xrecovery mod and restore "2010-12-29.18.53.53",and Voila.its done,Enjoy....
3.Go in xrecovery/backup folder(u can use root explorer or u can simply plug in your X10 to your pc with sd card mounted),there will be atleast one folder in it(if u have created a any backup(if not then first reboot into xrecovery and create a backup),replace all the 4 files,i.e cache, data, nandroid, system(img) with the 4 files u find in the extracted filer(2010-12-29.18.53.53),after that reboot your X10 in xrecovery and restore that folder, and yeah it will start restoring, enjoy.
Special Note:if u ant the latest baseband then after this u also have to flash sin files using flasher gui or non gui(prefered).
Note:Though the first step sounds a bit easy but i would presonally recommend second or third step, coz it always work and you will never see MD5 mismatch.
Whats included in this Rom:
1.It is based on the latest 2.0.2.A.0.24 Rom
(Firmware version 2.1-rooted-zdz)
(Baseband version 2.0.4.9)
(Kernel version 2.6.29
[email protected]#1)
2.Off course it is rooted
3.it is latest JIT v2 enabled(previously it was JIT v1 enabled)now you can get a score of upto 35 Mflops in linpack
4.latest market
4.What else can be in it as it is a stock ROM and i created it only coz some people asked me to do so....

Also, could you put the nicer button images from rom manager?

Also, could you put the nicer button images from rom manager?
EDIT: Well, in fact, why not include this in ROM Manager, and end the development of this app, and xrecovery install app?

ROM Manager it's a ROM MANAGER, not a recovery installer, so I dont see the point adding this to ROM Manager, and the buttons, why ? if you just are gonna need to have the app open like 10 seconds ?,
D4rKn3sSyS,
does it require busybox?
One question? If someone is having CWM recovery and wants to install xRecovery or vice-versa, will it replace or we have to manually replace 'em?

Hi D4,
I flash original SE ROM 2.1 (2.2.1.A.0.6) with SEUS.
Use SuperOneClick 1.9.5 to root phone.
Update SuperUser from Market to have last busibox.
Install File Manager to be able to install Recovery Installer, ROM Manager.... and validate if installation works fine!
I try to install CWM Recovery using Recovery Installer and ROM Manager without success!?!
I see that my chargemon file is not good, so not updated and recovery.tar is not in system/bin!?!
What could be the problem?

Your rom it's not supported by my app, your chargemon it's binary.. **** you SE , you should update to 2.2, or downgrade some older 2.1
EDIT: Uploaded 1.1, check changelog
I am facing exactly the same issue(2.1.1.A.0.6). You discontinued xRecovery .apk Installer way too soon. At least you should have left the latest file links. I am stuck with stock rom until I have some free time to do this manually.
Fix for 2.1.1.A.0.6 Users, INSTALL BUSYBOX!, please read first post
btw

Nope, apk will not remove .tar, but will overwrite chargemon, so you dont need to do anything
It's already installed! I press "Install CWM Recovery" and nothing happens. Unless I need some specific Busybox version. (Used 1.9 @ /system/bin and tried also system/xbin)

Just download BUSYBOX INSTALLER from market, and dont modify anything, will install last busybox version, and make symlinks ..
EDIT: Opps just found problem, it's compiled for 2.2, sorry 2.1 users
That's exactly what I did. Installed stock rom-->root--->installed busybox installer with default settings--->run recovery installer and press "Install CWM Recovery" --> waited for sometime but no sign that something was done-->Rebooted device and tried to enter recovery mode - nothing happens.
Will repeat the whole process again and see if anything changes.
I can re-confirm the issue above. I guess I have to wait to see if other users face the same issue. Until then I'll have to follow the path of xrecovery and slade's rom.
Aha, just noticed your edited post : " Opps just found problem, it's compiled for 2.2, sorry 2.1 users" ... I guess that's the reason
On stock rom, install busybox from the market to reate symlinks, and then replace the /system/bin/busybox with the one avaiable on older xrecovery installation
tested by me
HERE is my first ROM developpement

I can't say it is better because you have to try it and and give report but my rom is NOT a stock ROM it is totally based on CM7 ROM by FXP team: they've build their own sources (lib files; camera; network; optimisation;...) so it is tottaly different to a stock ROM because it is not the same base!!!
Here is just a little part of their work: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=16379792&postcount=2
secondly I'll optimise this ROM again and again I think it is already SUPERFAST
so I suggest you to try it I'm sure you'll enjoy it
20min left!!!
i have tried there cm7.1 rom too but its very buggy and many things don't work,
fm radio, hdmi, camera, no flash, but when that's fixed it will be very good rom i think...

I follow installation guide from you but after installation only get black screen and bootloop. My NEO phone is rooted with unlocked bootloader previously running SE Tweak rom v.04. Which kernel to use to get it work DoomKernel or freeXperia
Data Wipe> Install ROM> Flash kernel
i will download and test this rom ,thx~
Still cant make it to work I tried everything but still have only black screen. Can someone post the correct kernel to make it work on my Neo.

The installation of this kernel won't make you lose any data
> You can also use the kernel in the firmware .145 (and only in this firmware) using the boot.img. However, it is less stable than having the latest firmware. I suggest you first set up.
1] Preparing Files
- Unzip the previously downloaded fastboot-USBdrivers.zip
- You will now have a folder fastboot-USBdrivers.
- Now move the file boot.img (see prerequisites) to the root of your hard drive
2] Connect the equipment
- Connect your Xperia neo fastboot mode:
Turn-on
While holding down the Menu button, connect the camera to your computer. The LED turns blue
- Now install the driver (if you do not SDKs) by following this tutorial using the file-fastboot USBdrivers I propose above.
3] Flashing the kernel
- Open the fastboot-USBdrivers then hold the SHIFT key (shift) key, right click on the folder and select fastboot "open a command prompt here".
Users of Windows XP or Vista, for which the "open a command prompt here" may not s'affichier, please follow this tutorial to display the option or install the SDK normally then enter the command
- If prompted, enter this command and hit enter:
Code:
fastboot flash boot C: \ boot.img
then reboot and voila
I have 2.3.4. firmware Neo tweaked v0.4, I flashed doomkernel v 0.9, and in recovery set to instal your rom but after successful installation and boot screen "Dommkernel" is bootloop. So Im not doing it in wright way or what.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Why can't I have root access from Solid Explorer
Did you install BusyBox?
if not, go to Google Play and install BusyBox.
Once installed, open it and install "for REAL" Busybox in your device
you can now un-install the Busybox APK
Open Solid Explorer and try to do something where you need root acess -> you should be prompted
Can I use this rom on a T-Mobile device
Yes, you will still be in HSPA+ (4G)
I personally reach without problem 5.6Mbps in download and over 2.7Mbps in upload
What is the difference between this ROM and the official one
Not much
It is de-bloated, have battery in % and starts in English
it is fully deodexed and zip-aligned
you may find it a bit snappier
Why can't I see this ROM is ROM Manager
So far we don't have a fully functional CWM, I may work with another dev to achieve this, fingers crossed!
I can't connect to the internet
Did you check if your APN is correctly set?
If not, go here and feel free to participate: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1669485
