Is there a solution to IM chat with yahoo contacts on Windows Live messenger (wm6.1). I added an IM yahoo on my messenger list but it is not online even if it is connected to yahoo messenger.
WLM desktop application can connect multiple servers messengers (Yahoo, Facebook ...) but on WLM mobile the only furniture in the MSN contacts.
Sorry for my bad English.
Thanks!
has no solution to this problem?
all my friends use Yahoo IM and I want to be able to converse with them on the phone with Windows Live messeger.
please help me!
thanks!
I found an explanation, for my problem, to our colleague Devtone, but do not understand the procedure:
"Use a windows client to add a 'cross user', yahoo or WLM. Both need to be V8+ for adding each others users."
someone help me?

Fring does support yahoo. Im+ is the best messenger software in my opinion and naturally supports yahoo. But it's not freeware.

Is this the same for the hero?
Thanks
Are you referring to the one built into the G1? Yeah, I don't have it on my Hero either but there are tons of IM clients in the market. I use ebuddy and find it works well with MSN/AIM/Gtalk
Hi yes i was refering to the one that is built in.
Is your hero a sim free?
and thanks for you information. just one more question how will does it work with hotmail email accounts?
Thanks
the MSN was only available on the US G1 with t-mobile, cos no-one in europe was stupid enough to pay MS for a license to use MSN by text message, which is how it worked on teh G1.
As for your hotmail, just use the mail program to set it up as a pop3 account. that is now free and the settings are freely available on the hotmail website. although you are probably better just forwarding to your Gmail account as that way you get access to any attachments as well.
Hi guys,
I have been used to using Windows MyPhone for doing a on-line backup of my contacts from WM 6.5. This application and Windows MyPhone service is gonna be removed, so I wanna ask, what I can use instead of that? I have never found some frontend application for WM 6.5, that supports SkyDrive.
Thanks for reply..
Use Live hotmail. When you sync with Windows Live, your mail/appointments/contacts will be sync.

This has always worked well for me. As far as i know there are two ways of doing it:
Use the Windows Live app, which will sync your contacts and email.
Use activesync which will backup tasks and calendar too, as well as push email (delivers email in real time, not limited to sending/receiving every x minutes. have a look at this page http://windowsteamblog.com/windows_...ar-and-contacts-with-exchange-activesync.aspx or google exchange activesync hotmail
note that syncing with windows live will also download all your previous contacts from the server.
(not to hijack, but quick question: there's no way to sync contacts and not show messenger contacts in your windows mobile contacts for instance, is there?)
I had much more luck syncing with Google Calendar than with Hotmail Calendar. And it wasn't for the lack of trying. Syncing with Hotmail is like syncing with Desktop Outlook. Great while it works but once it's broken, it's broken for good. On the contrary, in about a year of syncing with Google I haven't run into a problem yet that I wasn't able to resolve. I am syncing Calendar, Contacts and email using ActiveSync, and tasks using GogTasks freeware. Contacts sync especially has been flawless.
If you can live with Google's limitations (no category support unless you buy a 3rd party app, have to jump through hoops to sync Tasks), I suggest you try that.
Does anyone know if it is possible to combine a Facebook contacts messenger chat windows with the sms windows of their phone number. For example If I'm texting person A and they are a friend on Facebook. Can I combine the Facebook messaging chat of person A with the sms chat of person A. All on androids messenger app of course.
Thanks
