ok.. im all done rooting.. got lagfix.. and tried rom manager and there wasnt an option for the fascinate.. so i guess ill wait on that.. any recommendations on what else to do.. i want to get rid of all the bloatware.. but im not sure how..
Use root explorer (download from market), and rename the bloatware packages you want to get rid of to .apk.old.
An example, rename /system/app/Blockbuster_Stub_v0_2_build_12-unsigned-signed.apk to Blockbuster_Stub_v0_2_build_12-unsigned-signed.apk.old
This will remove the Blockbuster application from your list of installed programs.
Do I can't use titainium backup?

Does anyone have an idea as to how I can add the apks to the roms I flash without using a computer. As source I used void forever without flashing the addons at first. I extracted the zip with root explorer, deleted what I didn't want. In this case, stock contacts/phone/dialer than repackaged the extracted file and attempted to flash the modified zip but I got a FC. maybe perhaps when I deleted I should of added go contacts.apk. here is what I deleted.
1.contacts.apk
2.contacts storage
What I wanted to replace:
1. Go contacts
A very insiteful person, daxelectro or ciaox told me I would need a computer and resign the modified zip but I'm **** storm up a creek without adb installed and a computer.
I've also attempted at freezing contacts and contacts storage but it misfired on me.
In a perfect world. I'd love to have void forever with poweramp,go contacts,go SMS pro, dolphin browser and go keyboard as stock. Someone think they can point me in the right direction

You should not edit the signed zips.
well if you want only go stuff on your cell phone.
Just re-install the rom (The one provided by the dev himself) ,install titanium backup and give it root rights and now you can uninstall whatever you want.
Go contacts will work fine without stock contacts.[Tested]
But the keyboard wont work without stock you have to keep the stock android keyboard with you and choose go keyboard as default.[Tested]
You must also know This Procedure Is Irreversible
You cannot install the apps you deleted again.
Lets be on the safe side so
MAKE A NAND FIRST THEN PROCEED
Good luck bud.!!!
Hey guys,
I used to have a symbian, Nokia 5800 which have a very cool application batch installer, basically after wiping the SD card and place all my apps in a folder then run this app, it would install the apps one by one automatically so i won't do it manually (hence avoid doing it over 39 times or so), this was a time saver for me, is there any application for Android that would do this, just configure and have it install all apps either to the phone or the sdcard, this would be something that can lower the restoration of apps after a customer install or adding a whole bunch of new download via PC apps and games.
Thanks in advance for the help.

You could use titanium backup, backup all your app and then restore it...

Can I also do this with Xrecovery, or only Titanium does the trick? and if so, would the apps all run back from my SD card once i do this or it would be diferent? thanks for your response dsaklein
You can create flashable zip with all your apps and then flash it with CWM or xRecovery.

i dont think that they would be different bacause you are doing backup so they must stay the same.....but like Godra says you can do it with xrecovery search forum for it
You can use FlashTool

I think the create my flashable zip file sounds good, should I just zip all files or is there a way to do that too?
also silentw can you elaborate on how do I use the flash tool? I want to do an autoinstall batch rather than something manual!
You can do a batch install/uninstall with titanium backup

You could install install everything on one machine, install CWM, then take a nandroid backup. Move that to the next tablet, install CWM, then restore the nandroid. That's the easy way. You could also build a zip that could be installed with ODIN based on the nandroid - that'd allow you to run the rest of the tablets as stock. If you're going to go that way, you'll probably need to use a Linux system to do it.
Can i get CWM onto the tabs without rooting them though? I thought that would required root? I am doing this for work and want to keep the tabs as oem as possible, just in case.

Rooting isn't illegal, not in the UK anyway. Just don't install custom firmware, surely?

And even if he does root, he can always un-root and return to stock via odin (if anything was flashed).

CWM does not require root. Nor does it root the device.

Yep. You can install CWM through odin & not have to root it.
You can then get the apk's you want to install, package them as a flashable zip and load them on each and flash!
Easy as that!

Unusual circumstances indeed.
But here is what I would do in your situation.
You said that Ideally, you wouldn't want to add a Google account to the tablet, but to install market apps, you need to have an account on there.
My solution would be to install the apps you want on one tablet, use Astro File manager, to backup those apps, it will copy the apk files into a folder called backup on the tablet storage.
Wipe the device, then go through the initial setup, but skipping the Google account bit. Using the built in file manager, Install the apks you backed up earlier, then make a nandroid backup at that point using CWM, then copy and restore the backup to the other devices, you will then have devices all the same but without the Google account and without the need to learn how to package apps into a zip file for using in CWM.
Swyped, from my finger to your face, on my Samsung Galaxy Note II
you can also use a 'fake' Google account for all of them. and then always control them from PC.
I am doing this with 4 devices (different manufacturers) and works like a charm. it should be even easier with the same type.

You can also use "App Backup & Restore" to backup the apks, very simple to use.
Otherwise, RavenY2K3's method is the best if you want to keep everything oem.
Recently, I often switch between different Roms. The Rom that I am really using is the official Rom from google, all others are just for testing. I am wondering if there is a app that I can install on my phone to save all my partition(boot/system/cache/data) into a zip file that I will be able to flash though recovery. If this kind of app does exist I will save a lot of time which was wasted on installing apps and rooting device. Could someone help me please?
