[Q] Cam(corder) fixed, can the cam be muted? - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Great work by the mods who made it possible to take pictures and record video's with a modded X10.
One question though. Can the shutter be muted?

There's no shutter sound on mine...try turning the phone to silent mode.

Yes in the vighetta camera app.

Hacked camera + stock camera? Possible?

So I posted this question in q&a section but got no response.
If there any way that I can get both hacked camera app from sgs tools and stock camera from the ka6 update working and installed at the same time?

i really don't know if its possible, but you should try camera360 ultimate, is a camera app that works really good, and you can take HDR pictures with that, pictures look crispier and taking pics on low light look brighter.
Well the reason I want this is because I'm using eugene's dead horse kernel which doesn't work well with hd camcorder in 1280*720 on the hacked camera app. It works with stock camera. But I like the options on the hacked camera such as quick scene mode, ffc support, and power button as shutter.

Not possible. But I could be wrong.
There is scene feature in stock camera though. The only thing that is added is power button as shutter and ffc support.
running Trigger 2.6.1
/dead horse kernel
/honeycomb theme.
I know that's a scene feature on stock. The hacked camera is so much better though. Just can't record hd

[Q] Why Vignette works?

Why does Vignette work on 2.2 with zoom and LED flash but we can't get the stock app to work.
This maybe a stupid question, so if it is I am sorry in advance but is there not a way to port the working features from vignette to the stock app? Would vignette not have the drivers to use these features?
Vignette only cuts out a piece of a picture and calls that zooming... The stock app doesn't do that...

Stock app does that too, granted maybe a little better optimised.
It's still called "Digital Zoom".
No phone is capable of optical zoom, which gives the best results in photography.

Neo V Camera Settings

Can anyone provide me Best Camera Setting for Taking Pictures and HD Video ?
With the stock Camera App, not any other replacements
As i have seen, the 5Mp pictures on the Neo V are barely 256-500Kb(MAX)
Is there any knows tweak to enhance it ?
Thanks for all your replies
And on CM7 is there any way to disable the auto focusing beeping ?
Its annoying xP
Im am ARC user but i will answer
1. Im using automatic scene, it work well on my arc or touch foucus settings
2. on arc 6mpx work up to 1mb, camera libreary is hard and difficulty do edit so answer for tweaking is NO, many ROM devs have problem to even port it to work, not to improve.
3. Try and search in settings of camera, i only know to say that
I am old X10i User, and missed all its manual features in Neo V,
but here are some suggestion disable touch focus, use steady hands and try HDR Camera App. you will get some good result with it

use manual settings with spot metering..and tweak scenes according to your needs... stock cam gives poor quality images when the light is low

Camcorder "Concert Mode"

Hi Guys,
Currently running ICS on Jokers rom.
However, I am going to a music festival next week (Download 2012 YEAHH!!) and want to revert back to a gingerbread ROM so that I can have HD video recording.
The original Blur ROM had an option in the camcorder for "Concert mode" which I think reduced the microphone gain so that the recording isnt distorted with very high volume levels. The phone used to record perfect concert videos with that option.
However, when I first put a custom ROM on - Neutrino's ROM - the camera app did not have this option and the video I recorded at concerts had distorted audio.
Can anyone tell me if this feature is available on any custom rom here? or is it onl on the default blur rom? If not, are there any apps on google play that do the same thing?
One extra thing. Is it hard to flash back to stock without messing up something?
Like is it just a zip can can be flashed from recovery or do I need to flash the sbf?
Any help is much appreciated guys.
Thanks.
Try Nottachtrix or fruitcake rom

[Q] Neutrino Rom Camera app

Trying out all features of Neutrino V2.91 Rom
All seams great except camera is pretty basic quality.
HDR Camera app is alot better. Though has no zoom function.
Whats the best android camera app to take the best quality photos (indoors and outside) for the Atrix 4G?
Is it worth trying the blurcamera apk over the MUIU apk?
Idk about others but I use the stock GB camera app. Works great, simple settings and straight to the point. Start app and take pick. No long complicated settings or startup. Simple and fast

Camera 360. Enough said.
Thanks for the replies -
Do you have a link for a GB camera that will work with Neutrino?
I downloaded 3 and each starts installing and each fails..
Downloading 360 - seems to be as good as HDR but with ZOOM
[Camera 360 - HD,Effect,Zoom - SmartStar]
The GB camera is the stock camera app. I think it is already provided in the rom. Not sure since I haven used it in a while. Been on MROM a while now. Anyway if u like camera 360 you should stick with it. I have to admit it's a great camera app. I used to use it but I never has use for all the effects so I use the stock camera. FXcamera is also a good camera app..

Camera Apps
So far I've found these to be the best options
General - HDR Camera
Night - Night Camera (seems to work better in low light)
Panorama - ...?
