How can I get a shortcut for the mobile hotspot? I don't want to have to go into setting blah blah blah everytime.
Download "Wireless Tether" from google code (just search for it)

I know if you use LauncherPro, you can create a shortcut to an activity, and direct it to open up the Hotspot menu. That's what I did on my homescreen.
Add Shortcut -----> Activities -----> Settings -----> Settings : com.android.settings.TetherSettings
It doesn't turn the Hotspot on automatically, unfortunately. But it saves a few steps.

crashes and doesn't work on Atrix. not on mine anyway.
Shortcut seems best bet for now. I switched to barnacle so I have the app easy to reach.

Market enable do work. You can try hidemyass.com, and get proxy. IP and port. And use those setting in auto IP apps, and your device will use the US IP. You can get amazon apps as well by using that.

Is there an app or some way to disable individual permissions per app? I want to not allow certain apps access to WiFi/data without turning them off.

A firewall app for rooted phones should prevent some apps from accessing the network Google play has a lot, but you will need to be rooted.

Hi, is it possible to have an login page on my hotspot and to restrict the use of youtube, netflix and other streaming services? I would like to have more control about the data use from the users of it.
Thanks in advance
