[REQ] [THEME] Nexus S Sublime Theme - Vibrant Themes and Apps

Anyone feel up to porting the SUBLIME theme from this post over to bionix?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=886971
It looks incredible!
I was going to take a shot at it myself but I use a mac so I can't use APK Manager
to copy from the framework.apk....
thanks for looking

I guess not.

+1 We need more themes. I really wish I knew how to theme or ay least port themes.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA Premium App

You don't need apk manager to make a theme. Just extract the files with whatever "you people" (mac users) usually use for extracting zips. Once you've edited everything it's extremely easy to put together at least a metamorph.

You need a program like apk manager if you intend to make xml edits to the framework files. That said I could start work on porting sublime it would just take a while cuz I have very little free time at the moment

Nowhere in my post did it say odin.... I said to download the system dump... Extract everything and start drag and dropping... Do you know hire to use MM? Thats kinda essential...

Is MM an acronym for something, or is that its name? I used to theme my G1 b4 Android 1.6 came out and never heard of MM.

Nope, don't know how to use MetaMorph. But I bet I can learn it this weekend. hope to have a rough Harley Theme up in a week or so.

[REQ] Honeybread

This theme is causing quite an uproar in the Android forums. Thought any themer/dev might get use out of it. It's for CM7 users on T-Mobile, but the DL includes all images if you extract the apk.
I really dig this theme, esp the glow effects on windows/Widgets. Even cyanogen is posting in the thread on how great it looks.

BUT THE DL INCLUDES ALL IMAGES. Did you understand it that time? They're just png files, that can be implemented into framework. But this is probably too much for you to comprehend all at once.
Anyway, I've already put some parts of this theme on my vibrant and it looks nice.

No, infact I was going to ask Dan and Romann (hint hint guys) to make a flashable to restore their framework, and replace all the files in this theme with their own, so we can post them either here or in our own OPs. I will do the same for Loki as well.

Yes its safe. This will replace theme, by way of the framework and files mentioned in the OP. Some themes do contain themed apps, which this will not overwrite. But as long as what you're running jives with the KB1 framework, i.e. Trigger 2.6.2 as you stated you're running, you are good to go.
This looks awesome. Any chance it will work on Flagship?
Question, if I already flashed a theme can I flash this ontop of it or do i need to reflash the ROM then this

I haven't tested it on Flagship yet. It should as Flagship is KB1 based. If you want to test and report back that would be super. Nandroid backup before hand just to be safe.

You're good with flashing this on top. As stated earlier, it won't replace themed apps, but will replace the look and feel of the rom.

I was digging for new themes for our JVP/JVQ GB Roms and found this.... I'm going to be trying these ASAP
Note that these themes are NOT GUARANTEED to Work on all roms,,, Flash at your own risk. Naturally make backups

I have heard this also... I just flashed the deep purple theme and all worked well except the phone app was gone for some reason.... it only had 5 lock screens though... mine had 9 originally
It will work fine unless you chose a lockscreen that you don't have coding for, then you've just bought a ticket to bootloop city

can you elaborate on that? I flashed the LEGEND X theme and I got in a boot loop. i had the puzzle lockscreen on before the flash
I have no idea how to check for this before hand but say if you were on the puzzle lockscreen and then you flash a theme that edits some .xmls then you might have a situation where the lockscreen is looking for an .xml that doesn't work it anymore (or maybe is completely missing) and BAM your phones figurative brain explodes and sends you into bootloops. That's my understanding anyways so anybody feel free to correct me.

I think everyone that tries one needs to report back if everything worked or not and we need to start a list of which ones actually work for us.
I would use the standard android lockscreen since its in pretty much all themes and roms. To avoid possible bootloops or worse.

I'd say at least test to see if it works for you. If it doesn't well see what we can do. It may just need to be repackaged in the newest SystemUI.apk and framework-res.apk.
Yea those are it but that thread is outdated. They only work on supra version 2.3.3 and viper rc1. He's on 2.1 now LOL
There a way were they can be flashable to any ROM and not just a rom in particular

Yes and no. There are a lot of mods out there that seem to be ROM specific. I can add the files to the framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk of a stock deodexed ROM and make a flashable out of that. It'll at least be something more up to date.

any ROM with tweaks needs specific fr-res.apk and sysUI.apk from that ROM, so no, universal cannot be done.

I can put something together this evening. I've already got the icons out, I just need to download the ROM and add the icons to the apks. I'm at work and data sucks. It takes like 2 hours to download a ROM. So I'll do it when I get home. Unless someone beats me to it.
After looking in the Olympus apks, do you want to match the theme and make stat bars and battery red? Or do you want to keep them green? I can make the standard green version into a flashable and a red version too if you like.
