I have a 4 gig external card in my vibrant and the last 2 updates of angry birds cause the phone to freeze. It's not when running the application but just the fact that it's on the card. The phone freezes during the scan of the external sd card(media scanner), if I pull out the card or delete the angry birds file then everything works without problems. I have not tried reformatting the sd card yet but was just wandering if anyone else came across the same issue?
I am running a bionix rom with voodoo enabled.
Never had this problem. Try backing up your external sd then format it.
so I reinstalled angry birds with the external sd card removed and after reinserting the external card it now works....it looks like the card did not get corrupted but the phone was getting screwed up with the external install.....not sure why it installs angry birds to the external sd?
Mine installs to internal sd.

Good day guys and hope you can help me with this. Im running Miui 2.1.6 with Siyah kernel 3.3.1, my problem is my internal sd and external sd cards being swapped or thats how the system views it. whenever i try to move apps from phone to sd card whether via app manager or apps 2 sd it moves my apps to my external sd card which is annoying. im only using my external sd card for media and not for my apps. after moving those apps it creates a .android_secure folder on my external sd with .asec files on it. im assuming that this is a problem with how the phone identifies my internal & external sd cards, i tried removing my external sd card and again tried to move apps to sd card and it says it doesnt have enough space which is crazy because my sd card has 6GB free space on it.
Hi i rooted my phone with motochopper. Now on stock rom 4.1.2 , i swapped sd card(32 gig) and internal sd using the method of changing vold.fstab using Es file explorer. Android shows the sd cards to be swapped, but in CWM recovery it shows sd card as sd card my 32 gig and internal one as internal but it shouldn't happen right. Another problem is that when i place game data on obb the games do not recognize it i tried from various working links and various games, but still i face the issue.
For example: MC4
It opens strucks in loading screen keeps blinking and thats it nothing else happens.
What do i do?
Editing vold.fstab will swap cards only for the OS and not for the Recovery.
Try moving the games to SD card in Settings->Apps before placing game data.
Hey guys
I'm having some weird issues with the phone recently
I have a 64gb micro sd card by sandisk
The problem is that whenever I restart my phone
It boots up and then it works fine and then freezes up for 2-5mins
Also in the storage settings
Under sd card
It shows applications,music,misc files
And then when it stops freezing it comes back to normal and shows total space and remaining space
Any idea why is this happening?
I don't want to format the sd card
Test with no SD Card
It works fine without it
Answer is its a corrupt sd card possible fake see multiple fake sd cards posts /
SOLVED!
No no it wasn't a fake sd card
Supersu was causing the problem
Switched over to superuser
Works like a charm now
Hi!
Some days ago, i bought an allview v1 viper e, maybe you`ve not heard about those phones...Well...they are cheap )
All was good, until i started to install games...If i don`t have a micro SD in the phone, it install the games in internal memory, if i insert an SD card, it install any apps on it, i checked to install them in internal storage, but it install them on SD card.
And, if i install a game when i don`t have the sd card inserted, and i can play it, after i instert the SD card, and try to play again the same game, it is starting again to download the game...
Do you know that if i`ll use a rom, like from cyanogen, the problem will be solved?
It does not matter for me where the games are installing, but...The phone memory is empty, i have 5gb free on sd card, and the phone is telling me that the memory is full and don`t let me to install more apps...
Here are 2 images:the image with 2 folders(one of them is empty, and in the other one is only one folder), is the internal memory. And the image with a lot of folders is my SD card...
Sorry for my bad english
I recently rooted my phone because his internal storage is too small and my sd card has 8gb and is not used at all.
But, I don't know which apps to use, I've tried few like Link2SD but i need to buy it so I can link my games...
Suggest me an free app to use for moving games to sd card (moving whole games or just most of data)
Btw, I heard that I need to partition my sd card, could you tell me is this it
