Does anyone know if there is a case available for the ViewSonic G out there that is similar to something from otterbox?
Not that I am aware of. I am working on some 'shell' type cases but it doesn't look like they've been manufactured as of yet.
That would be amazing.

Has anyone seen any cases like this that fit the G-Tab? I know about the custom one out there, but I like the idea of this slim, rubber one.
I'm new to the forums so I can't post a link, but it can be found on amazon under the search term "Apple iPad Case (CASE-ZML MC361ZM/A)"
It's a pretty common rubber case thats nice and slim but folds into a stand.
Thanks for any responses!
I too am looking for this (minus the apple logo).. but so far no luck...
yeah, the apple logo would kind of ruin the whole thing, but i would actually have no problem sticking an android sticker over it if the case had holes and stuff that actually fitted the g-tab.
The search continues... if anyone knows anyone/any company that makes cases similar to this, I would be willing to organize a bulk buy if others are interested
Me Too!! The Apple case was perfect, totally changed my iPad. Light, this and could lay or stand.
I was at a Verison wireless store the other day. They had a generic case for the Ipad without the apple logo that looks like it would work.
I might take my G Tab there and see how it fits.

That would be great, let us know!
well, I checked out the ipad cases today, they do not come anywhere close to fitting, I was hoping they would stretch, but nope.
I went on to ebay and saw a lot of entries for generic 10" tablet cases with integrated keyboards. There are also a lot for specific tablet brands although I did not see too many specifically mention the g tablet. Looking at the pictures and even the wording of many of those auctions and it looks like they are peddling the same item. It's that faux lether case with the USB keyboard.
My question is, can I get one of these generic 10" cases although it doesn't specifically mention them as g tablet compatible? Or are there subtle differences I should be aware of and only get one that is designed for the g tablet?
With all the looking for cases and such, a lot of talk about this case for 'X' will fit or not fit. Does anyone know of an more popular brand that has the same dimensions as G-tab? It might make finding access. easier. I know the Kindle DX is close.

It is known that cases/covers for the DX will fit the G-Tablet, just don't get the ones that have the strip up one side that obscures some control.
The Malata Z-tablet is the (near) identical twin, but accessories for them are just as hard to find. There are also a handful of Chinese "custom" cases that are being sold (but stay in fairly short supply) just search this forum and you will find them.
I've seen a few Kindle DX posts that like it, but there seems some contention on how well it fits. I don't think I found one that fits that also has the stand. Yeah, the Malata case are a rare bird, and seem a bit more expensive. i will check for the custom ones...Thanks..
I think most 10 inch netbook cases should work. I bought the "HP - Mini Netbook Sleeve" from Best Buy, and it fits OK, not quite glove tight but good enough.
Try a new Targus iPad case?
I tried 10" netbook sleeves and they all seemed too roomy (not snug). I ended up getting a newly released (in Taiwan) Targus iPad soft case. A little snug but fits.

I've just found a web site advertising a gel case for the TF, however in the description below it mentions an LG Optimus Pad. I wonder if they're a similar size.
http://www.fommy.co.uk/view-full-pa...Transformer+TF101&tabletcat=Screen+Protectors
I don't think so. The photo doesn't even match a TF.
Wishful thinking perhaps, however if it would fit but require cutouts then it might do as a temporary measure
Product description and compatibility:
Perfect match for your LG Optimus Pad to protect against scratches and minor bumps.

This is the exact kind of thing I would like for my xformer. Unfortunately comparing the LG and ASUS it definitely won’t fit.
(Comparison: http://www.sizeasy.com/page/size_comparison/31887-Asus-Eee-Pad-Transformer-vs-LG-Optimus-Pad)
I came across this case today that seems to look pretty good but I have never heard of the company selling it before. Anyone ever ordered from Second Shells before?
Here is what I was looking at ($33.95):

UPDATE: I have contacted them for better pics and to see if they offer this in black instead of the grey that they have listed. I will update this again once they reply.
Ugh, why more leather!
eww i thought these were shells like how the mac book's shells are. just snap on, and you are protected
I like it. At least they lost does bulk compared to some others and there is not any leather in between the dock and tablet joint. Simple, and elegant
I recently odered a case from www.secondshells.com I got it remotely fast and for a great deal. It was a great buy and I highly recommend them
