Does it load into fastboot? (back key and power). If yes, try installing official RUU.

Hi,
I think I've bricked my hero
I've flash my phone with the kagudroid but it loop forever a boot. So I tryed to put a new recovery image and then I lost flashrec. Did I definitly brick my hero ?
Thanks
So can you boot into the recovery image or not?
If you can, do a wipe and install the Kagudroid rom again.
I have flashed the recovery mode with the image found in the thread "[Recovery] [08-Feb-2010] RA-hero-v1.5.3.1"
but now when I try to do a flash I have a message saying that my update.zip is not signed.
any ideas ?
ok so I've found a solution !
I've upgraded in 2.73.61. My phone is working again.
Now I just have to use a goldcard to get root access (in fact I've made a mistake and put back the old recevery mode ...).
thanks for all.
ok so i was trying to downgrade my dell streak to 2.1 so i could go to 1.6 and after i flashed it i got the dell logo and a blank black screen. i cant get into my custom recovery and everytime i press upgrade from .pkg it goes to the black screen. i believe it might be bricked because nothing is working. any help would be greatly appreciated thanks!
sounds like you have flashed a custom recovery... try going back to that site and download the alternate recovery. Try flashing one of these custom recoveries, if one gets you the black screen then the other one should get you through.

dkwelton, can you please explain exactly what you did to fix this?
Thanks,
Christopher
i went to http://android.modaco.com/content/d...to-get-your-streak-back-to-factory-condition/ and downloaded the stock recovery and flashed it with fastboot then i put a stock o2 2.1 rom on it
I have the stock 2.2 on my streak. I have the latest clockwork mod instal. everything about the program works fine except trying to reboot the phone into clockwork recory mode. anyone have the same issue, please help.
Did flash the recovery before u rebooted? You are running stock 2.2. So you will need to do this everytime. Dell set it where the stock recovery overwrites clockwork. Also make sure. U are holding down the volume buttons when you enter the reboot
Command in the command prompt.

Negative, I have flashed the latest clockwork flash on my phone and even have tried to do so right before I choose to restart. but while holding the volume keys and to get to the recovery screen on the phone ( phone only, no data cable involved ) it tells me to reinstall from update.pkg and if I choose to do so, which is what some people have stated is what gets them into clockwork recovery.... I only get a black screen and have to do a battery pull at that point.
How did you flash the CWM?
Have you tried StreakMod Recovery instead?

hi all, my phone is stuck in a bootloop. all i can do is enter the boot menu. I did a factory reset but the bootloop issue is still there.
Im not root. S-on. I can only think of sending the phone to the htc repair center, or is there anything else i can do?? the phone is still under warranty.
can i try going root or S-off in order to try to fix the bootloop? or is it useless?
By boot menu you mean recovery mode?(fairly new myself, so dont know all the stuff) Rooting and S-off wont help from bootloop, if by boot menu you mean recovery mode, then just flash stock rom and everything should be fine.

im not sure if boot menu is the same as recovery mode. You get to boot menu pressing VOL Down and Power buttoms. where i have the Fastboot, Recovery and Factory reset options. When i select any of these, it will start bootloop over and over.
So you mean even if i managed to root the phone and go S-off, it wont fix the bootloop?
I can't see, what your Device is. But if it's possible to go in Downloadmode, I think you have to flash a new StockRom. Or use your warranty.
