[Q] Running 340, wanting to 318 perfmod? - Streak 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Im currently on 2.2, ATTUS, 340. I quadrant at 850-900. How would I go about downgrading to 318, and installing the perfmod. Does anyone thing 340/345 with the perfmod fix will be out soon? and is 318 the pkg with the server redirect error?

Just try it and see how it works for you. Reflashing is so easy and fast.
This might help also.

That doesn't help. How to downflash to 318 and apply period would help. Or even if 318 gives server redirect errors would help. But linking to garbage doesn't help.

There is an entire Q&A forum for this.
Good luck finding help with this poor / lazy attitude.

Ive been looking for this for days, and have asked for help multiple times. I finally get a response and its a link to nothing. Wrong forum, I get it... A simple link wouldve closed this thread 3 posts ago. Cmon...

Please Respect other members when asking for help,If the link was no help to you Then try elsewhere but please don't call it garbage after a member has tried to help you Thank you
Plus this is not Android Development
All Q questions go in the Q&A Forum
Moving to Q&A

It's a link to forum rules, therefore being useless to this thread. Some might call things that are no longer of use "garbage." So, again, without spamming my thread, does anyone have suggestions for reverting to 318 from 340 2.2?

I have a HTC Hero and i want to upgrade it to android 2.1, I'll be happy if you could tell me what is the best way to do it.
Will I lose all the data on my device?
Thank you
Moved to Q&A as not development.

EDIT: btw, did you get a PM telling you the thread got moved? We're trying to see if a new feature works or not...

dude there are so many froyo roms on this thread list i cannot believe you havent read any of em... nope still cant believe it but welcome to the forums. just read any thread that says froyo jk two or six. six is the latest. oh and read up on odin before you ask about going back to stock.
What??? What threads are being deleted??? Still see them here on my end...
Get ROM manager and download one of the 2.2 .zip files ...reboot in clockwork and find your file and install.

To answer your question click on the treads that either have Froyo, JK2 or JK6 in their title and download the rom. You can only flash these roms through clockwork recovery. Have fun with android 2.2.
P.S. next time please post a Question thread in the Q&A part of the Vibrant forum. It will make things easier on everyone.
Welcome
I suggest you TAKE your time & READ this very carefully
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=732458
It'll save you a lot of headache & you'll learn a lot
Or if you are having that much trouble searching through the threads always go to the directory(Bible) which is always the first thread in the development section http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=771111When I first started coming on here it was always my first stop. There are now 7 flashable 2.2 roms and a few odin 2.2 roms. The flasheables are all dated after 11/15
And yes use Q&A for questions unless you like getting flamed.

[Q] Help. Need to flash new rom on streak.

Here you go... just follow the instructions and don't ask anymore silly and easy questions on here without reseaching first... all of these guys in here know instantly when you haven't done your research... People like me that are nice will spoon feed you but don't always expect it. Kinda of an unwritten rule in many forums is put in the work first and make an effort, THEN, if you are still having an issue, someone can step in and help. If you can imagine this, think about all the noobs out there in the world that are asking the same thing over and over again when the answer is literally in the next post.... gets kinda irratating. Thanks

[Q] How do you get back to stock?

I'm considering trying out some of the new Kernels and rom's that are out now but want to have a fail safe to get back into stock. I've been searching and couldn't find anything that tells you how to do this.
Anybody have a link or know of a method for this?

[Q&A] [ODIN] Stock ROM Collection

Q&A for [ODIN] Stock ROM Collection
Some developers prefer that questions remain separate from their main development thread to help keep things organized. Placing your question within this thread will increase its chances of being answered by a member of the community or by the developer.
Before posting, please use the forum search and read through the discussion thread for [ODIN] Stock ROM Collection. If you can't find an answer, post it here, being sure to give as much information as possible (firmware version, steps to reproduce, logcat if available) so that you can get help.
Thanks for understanding and for helping to keep XDA neat and tidy!
2.3.5 Gingerbread ODIN file
I am in desperate need of a stock ODIN file for samsung fascinate. All the links I can find are years old and no longer work. If anyone has a valid file I can use to restore my fascinate to stock and get it working again, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks a lot! That's what I've been looking for. So, now that I can get it back to stock and actually make a backup this time, do you know of any other places where I can find custom ROMs? I know this is a very old device and I don't know if anyone is even still developing for it. Thanks.

Yep, go back up of level and you well find these 4.2_and older
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=4298
And here you will find some 4.3 & 4.4 versions
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=7312
BUT please read up on their actual thread to find about quirks and problems and what actually works.
Hint 4.3 had no 3g data
Those 4.4 did but the fascinate has very picky procedure to get it onto kitkat
Quite a few of the ROM links i have up i put link to the thread in the description to help out.
None of these are My ROMs I only was providing a host site to locate these hard to find items.
Unfortunately the fassy forum is virtually dead and has been so for about a year now...
Good luck.

Don't judge my rock addiction, err I mean rock collection!
The free mirrors are at the salvation army, you just gotta walk away with it at a brisk pace and they don't bother chasing you, like in tokyo drift.

Still a few of us left
I could not figure out how to delete my original post to give a formal update on the service I received from OneClickRoot. I will give a full update when I get done with my errands but I will say that OneClickRoot was finally able to root my device. They also gave a full refund for my troubles since the process was not the smoothest. I will post again later tonight for sure though to give a full update and to give my opinion on whether or not I would give them my referral.

Is the cwm4_fixed_for_cm7-ODIN.tar have clockworkmod recovery? And which section do I use for it? Will any Fascinate model work? Does it support 2.3.4?
