How to root vibrant

Anyone know a simple and easy way to root my vibrant 2.2.1 froyo, z4root 1.3.0 didnt work for me....roms, kernals, all that stuff is way over my head, just need some clear and simple easy to follow instructions to root, any help would be appreciated
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA Premium App
Super one click root.
Search on google, first link it comes to xda.
Use that. You need to have a computer though..
All you do is enable usb debugging connect usb click root it pushes update.zip to your phone
Then it installs super user app on your phone.
Then click test or something and on your phone superuser should ask for permissions
Z4root app
Simple..install the apk and root straight from your phone without need of usin usb and that

So i said factory reset will work bro, if you reset the phone that wiill make it work
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA Premium App
SuperOneClick works, but it was also the exploit in all those bad apps Google pulled and your pc will think it's a virus.
If you use the ALT METHOD in the noob guide you can have a leaked froyo+root, and then flash a custom rom or stock froyo + root.

If you have recovery you could just download a kernel using your phone on wifi and flash it. Then download setcpu and create profiles. That saves a lot of battery

Download biffmod and then the update file from clockwork recovery. Do the three button trick to get into recovery mode and hit reinstall packages. From there you can flash the rom.

Your better off going back to 2.1 and gain root access that way. But that's just me

This should get you started I hope or the right area at least.

There are also forums and Faqs too for help.
Unless you want to do the other way to unlock bootloader and root phone to use custom ROMs which could solve your problem also. You would then read the stickies of the the Atrix section of xda.
Okay man gonna try

How do i root

Hey guyz !
I got my cell back before 8~9 days ago from service centre. So i have start from rooting.
Can i know how can i root my cell without using computer ?
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
Gingerbreak works on 2.3.3 or less but only gb. If higher you need comp. Universal androot or z4root. Works on 2.2.1. Or less. If u got 2.2.2 u need comp. If you got 2.3.4 you need comp. Go to settings-about this phone-android version. Hope this helps bud.
Sent from my LG-P920 using xda premium
Neither of these is on market. Google either gingerbreak apk or universal androot apk. I got both of these this way and its on the first search page.

You got access to a comp for like a half hour? Don't take longer than that.
Sent from my LG-P920 using xda premium
Its 2.3.3 ! No no comp. Access till 13-15 june
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
Don't think it can be done without a computer. The known methods are this one using SuperOneClick and this Unlockroot site which some say works.
