[Q] ES Security Manager: Does It Only scan SDCard? - Streak 5 Themes and Apps

Does this app scan the SDCard only for viruses or does it scan the phone as well?
Do I need an app that include scanning the phone directories for viruses?
Which is the best app that will alert you before installing a bad appp?
And......are all apps in the Android Market prescanned before they are allowed to be uploaded into the Android Market catalog ?
Thanks.

[Q] Install app in private

I have S2e install and set to push all my apps to SD-ext but some apps (poweramp) doesnt like that and messes up from time to time. I was wondering how to install that app or move that app to private. I have already moved it with android commander but i was wondering if there is another way because android comander is only windows and im moving to linux. Simple copy and paste doesnt work it disconnects the app from the system or something.

App: File-System Watcher/Monitor ????

Hello!
Does anybody know a simple File-System-Watcher app for android ? I mean a app that show me where a file
on the intern or extern memory is created, deleted or changed - and the better one: shows also the Process or the
application which create/delete/change the file on the storage.
... its simple: a app that shows the file system activity? (example: under windows, there is the Process Monitor from www.sysinternals.com)
regards!
...ok, i find a app called "FileObserver", but i dont find some compiled apk or some other files to install
it on android? Is it possible to run this FileObserver in a terminal emulator on the android? How can
i run this app ???
No, you can't.
It's an abstract class which is a programing component intended to be implemented and included in an application ==> apk.
It seems there is no ready to use solution like the one found in linux (inotify).
You have two choices : build it by yourself or avoid apk without source files.

Security of Samsung Secure folder

Hello,
I've a question about security of Samsung Secure Folder in Android 11 - stock software, phone is not rooted.
I always thought that the Secure Folder is a container that is totally isolated from the rest of the system, until I found out that installing an app within secure folder (in this case Kasperky Internet Security) gives the app the following permissions:
1. Kaspersky app can automatically start with the system. After restarting the phone without entering Secure Folder password, somehow Kaspersky manages to autostart itself even though the Secure Folder wasn't unlocked after starting the system. I can see it as the app is displaying its banners. How is it able to start automatically with the secure folder being locked?
2. The Kaspersky app that should run only within secure folder is able to scan system-wide settings outside of secure folder. The app has a feature called weak settings scan and it's somehow able to detect a lot of system-wide settings - like password visibility, developer options being enabled etc. It's also able to read the main, non-secure folder Google account used for the phone. How does it do this?
The above permissions given to the apparently secure folder-installed app indicates that there's a very limited isolation provided by Secure Folder.
Could you please clarify how the app is able to do the above things?
Is secure folder really secure? Would installing a malicious app in SF limit the infection to SF only?
Thanks,
Jonah

ftp server Android app with access to folders under Android/data?

For several years I've been using the FTP Server Pro app from Olive Tree Software when copying files (mainly updated maps for my mapping app that I batch download on a PC) to the folder under Android/data where the app stores its maps. I've just upgraded to a Pixel 6 phone running Android 12, and the app can no longer access any of the folders under Android/data on the phone.
I now have to perform the copy indirectly by using Filezilla to ftp the maps to a folder such as Downloads, and then use File Manager + on the phone to move the maps from Downloads to the correct folder under Android/data.
I emailed the app developer several weeks ago but have received no reply, so I'm wondering if anyone knows if any of the other ftp server apps on Google Play have the code necessary to allow them to be granted the necessary permission. When I check in the phone's Settings app under Privacy / Permission Manager / Files and Media, FTP Server Pro has the permission to "Allow management of all files", but this is obviously not enough, as File Manager + has the same permission and yet can access files/folders under Android/data, whereas FTP Server Pro cannot.

Hi bro! Take a look here, it really works on Android 12. You'll find the downloads in the second post of the thread. To start an FTP server, tap on the menu at the top-right, then tap on Servers, followed by Start FTP Server.
To write to `Android/data` you need to allow writing there on your phone, when MiXplorer asks about that (after you try to access that folder via FTP).
