Just before you flash a rom... or if your just wondering look in the post for the rom. If it says it supports the FFC, then it supports it. If there is no mention of the FFC anywhere its safe to assume it does not support it.

I looked through all of them and none said cfc support. I know axura does. I just wanted to know who's using their ffc on what rom and what is/not working? Only thing I saw on some of them was build.prop mods

Axura and the Trigger both do and I believe the new 2.21 Jellette just released

download sgs tools and using that app download hacked camera. And u can use ffc on any roms I believe.

Bionix frost and bionix???

What is the difference between bionix frost and bionic. And not just the whole 2.2 and 2.2.1 thing, but real differences. Thanks

Eh nothing you will really notice. Don't expect a feature filled update.

Bionix-V is the older more stable version and the Bionix Frost is the newer, in Beta testing development version.
Another difference is that Bionix-V is based on the software that Samsung put on the Vibrant, while Frost is based on the software that is on the new Samsung Galaxy S 4G. Since the base for Frost was originally made for a different phone, more effort is required to make it work on the Vibrant.

If you want a ROM for the phone that you use daily for real work, go with Bionix-V

Not disagreeing persay but Frost is just as stable. Only issue I've had is a slight menu lag.

I know its semi-counter productive...
But this has to be the 3rd+ post this past weekend regarding Bionix/Frost/2.2/2.2.1
and "whats the difference"
I'm sorry but the only way for be to access xda is by the app ans the search function on the apologize is $hit. If it wasn't I wouldn't have posted 3/4 of what I have. But on last question, what's the difference between 2.2 and 2.2.1

I personally like Bionix V. Been using Team Whiskey roms for a while now and they have yet to disappoint. In the end, its just a matter of preference.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Bionix-V seems to have very few bugs. The bugs people are reporting, most users cannot duplicate their problems. Frost, well it still needs some tweaking before it's ready as a "daily driver" as stable/fast as Bionix 1.3
i've tried both. after enabling voodoo on the latest frost, i've noticed a considerable difference from the initial build. bionix is ULTRA stable. there is no doubt that it is the more stable of the two. however, IMHO i haven't noticed a huge difference between the speed or usability of either...if you would rather deal with less "potential" bugs, then i would suggest you go with Bionix V.

[Q] Need flashable zip

Does anyone have the zip to remove call recording on darkys rom 9.3?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Maybe try the i9000 section, or the Vibrant port thread?
I've haven't tried it yet... Good? Has her latest been ported over yet?

No , 10.0 hadn't been ported. Ive been having trouble with a lot of roms lately and this one was always the most stable for me. Its as good as trigger and bi-winning knowing that your the biggest trigger guy here .

Any 100% Gingerbread working Roms?

Ok, so I currently have Trigger 3.2 Final and Overstock Kernel installed. And I want to use the Netflix App. So, I want to install a Gingerbread Rom. But I don't want a buggy Rom installed. Don't want to Loose GPS or other futures. So, what Rom is the best? And works with Netflix? Thanks a million!

If there was a 100% working gb rom for the vibrant, you'd know about it already.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
not even 2.2.1 work 100% and they still froyo...
Dam I want Netflix for my vibrant. Stupid that they made it not work with sgs phones. Just really stupid!
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA Premium App
the odds of getting gps on gingerbread is about as likely as T-mobile giving you a sgs II for a free upgrade when they merge with At&T. As for the Netflix app it supported by 4 phones. Thats it so we're not being picked on here. it's about drm protection for better security. It makes logical sence. Not to mention it's new who knows what the future holds as the application matures.
GPS on the Galaxy phone was adaquate at best and terrible at worst. I personally believe it's a good trade off for a great rom to play with like CM7 or Miui. give it a shot if you absolutely can't live without the gps you can always flash back.

People have had a lot of luck with Netflix on GB.
I found on a site called akaskriller.com a post about 100% working 2.3.2 gingerbread ROM for Vibrant based on Nexus S firmware.

FFC ROM

My ffc that I ordered is coming in Tuesday, and im looking for a good rom that supports the front facing camera. I was going to go with bionix frost 2.2.1 but I believe development for that has stopped, since the download link is removed. Any opinions on a good rom?

Bi-Winning and /or Trigger both have ffc support work very well . Try out either you will be happy p.m. me if you have any problems

There should be a ton of theme support for Trigger, Bi-Winning not so much, but there is probably some.
Are you getting a i9000 or a t959v (vibrant 4g) ffc? That's relevant for determining the best rom. Frost is based off the 4g rom, while bi-winning is based off the i9k. If it's an i9k, then frost isn't your best option. I'm currently running Bi-winning with my i9k v2 ffc and it works great with the camera, as well as with tango.
And just to be clear, Trigger doesn't actually support ffc out of the box...you have to push the files found in the ffc support thread. But if you do that, then just about any 2.2 rom will work (with some limitations in 3rd party app functionality), not just Trigger.
My two top favorites are bi-winning and Simply Honey. Both are 2.2.1 i9k roms, so will work without having to push any camera firmware.

Alright il try out bi-winning which one should I download?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA Premium App
CM7 have FFC support out of the box. Yes, its GB, so it have its limitations.
Simply Honey 3.5 has FFC support

New to T959, any recommendation for ROMs?

Hi all
I am new to the samsung t959
Any recommendation for ROM? I would like to be as fast as possible, and with a working GPS
Thanks a million!
Well its all preference really
I didn't try this one but I will soon this one looks really fast from the video and GPS should work it is a froyo based rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=973208
Or you can use other roms and try different kernels also to over clock but do you research first to be sure which kernel suits you best if you were to change it.
Here is the development threads with all the roms look through them and see which one fits your needs http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=711
Good luck! and remeber always backup everything before flashing and make sure your phone is not hardware locked.

When you say new to the vibrant, what do you mean?
Is your phone a t959, t959v, t959d, etc?
Is your phone the sgs 4g or the regular vibrant? These are important things to know before we guide you.
