I'm running the ImPrOS rom, and I was wondering if JIT was enabled on it.
How do I find out, and enable it, if it is not enabled?
If there i no option to turn it on or off then you should ask developer?
I am assuming it isn't enabled since its a hybrid.
Infact, if you see the feature list, Enabling JIT is seen under 'Coming Up'

I've installed it but am reading that there are modifications made for both to work.
How do you go about performing the tweaks?
You shouldn't have to tweak anything for your GPS to work. You may want to verify that settings> phone> location settings (get settings) has location "ON". There has been talk about enabling/disabling REV. A in the EPST settings (dial ##778#> edit> enter MSL# as unlock code> data settings> Rev. A). REV. A comes disabled by default. Some have said that it is supposed to be disabled, some have said it is supposed to be enabled. I've tested both ways. I get an average of 668Kbps d/l with it enabled, and an average of 460Kbps with it disabled. I tested both ways several times, soft resetting between them. I've levt mine enabled. If you need your MSL code, do a search for the MSL generator. I have it and can post it if you can't find it.
there are many posts here as well as ppcgeeks that are saying.... leave the espt thing alone. most people are missunderstanding this setting. it comes preinstalled enabled. when you see the disable in the espt settings this is not saying it is disabled. it is asking you if you want to disable.
mine was faster when left alone.
as far as gps.... should be good to go. altho some have said that the htc quick gps work good for getting a quicker lock on sats.
good luck, cody
I experienced slower speeds AND GPS issues when I changed that default setting...
By default, it should say 'Disable' in the area... but yeah, changing that value to 'enable' actually DISABLES the EVDO Rev. A, so it IS confusing yes...
Me personally, I did the stock ROM, no tweaks and I'm working perfectly. Leave it alone man
I use my phone daily in a non-Verizon network, so having Data Roaming enabled is very important for me. The new ROM I installed, however, does not have a menu option for enabling/disabling Data Roaming.
Does anyone know of a way to do this through script? Or maybe there is something that can be changed in "build.prop" (or another file) that would change the default setting of Data Roaming disabled to be enabled?

Thank you, but that isn't quite what I'm looking for. It looks like it could possibly work, but I I'm looking for a way to permanently turn the Data Roaming on. I don't care if I need to edit the ROM files before I flash them or if there is some sort of hack I can install/perform after the ROM is running.
Maybe there is a way to install the AOSP or stock version of the component that controls this? Does anyone know what component controls the data roaming?
hmm i dont know how could you achieve this....its a bit more advanced
Still looking for the magic bullet
I'm very interested in this as well.
Does anybody know if the Roam Control app is able to keep Data roaming on at all times? I have not been able to find a trial version to try it out...
Or is there any other way of keeping it on? For a Motorola Droid 3.
I have tried modifying build.prop with many different settings that I have found in other threads but nothing has worked so far. I need to re-enable data roaming manually maybe 20 times a day.
Thanks!
Nobody?
I sent a mail to the author of Roam Control asking if his app is able to do this but still no answer
I finally took the problem in my own hands and managed to make a small app that re-enables data roaming at the touch of a button.
I needs to be installed as a system app for it to work, but it works!

Well you're not alone

I want to permanently enable data roaming but several Google searches have led me to only this thread. I have just downloaded Roaming Control and will tinker with it to see if it solves the issue of the constant nagging data roaming warnings.
I am confused. In my Jellybean settings there's a selection field titled "Show roaming reminder". Even though I have set it to "Never" it still gives a data roaming warning every single time. Either I am misinterpreting the use of that selection field or it's flat out broken or disabled by the carrier.

I recently have tried out a few of the ICS roms available for the SGS2.
One thing I have noticed is that the Location Trigger does not seem to be supported in ICS? The button to enable it is not active and all of the pre-defined wifi networks that are listed under Location are greyed out.
Can anyone confirm that JD does not support Location triggers in ICS? I came up empty handed when searching for this subject. Perhaps there is something out there discussing this subject?
Thanks in advance.
I'm no genius, but I'll help as much as I can. You're talking about 'Location' under 'Settings' right? Mine is enabled and I've had no problems with it. Is the 'disabled' button highlighted in red? If so then it should just be a matter of re-enabling it.
Was it a restore you did or a clean install? Did you also try clearing the app's data?
I noticed a lot of custom ROMs that are configured to automatically turn on debug mode on boot. All the ROMs I've tried set that option even after I uncheck it manually and reboot. I'd rather only turn it on when needed (I know when it's needed). What's the setting that control this?

This should be posted in the q & a section or general, I'm sure someone will give you a hard time about it. But are you asking how to disable ADB? It sounds like you know how to disable it already. Is the setting not sticking for you after reboot?

I'm not sure if this post is in the right section but just wondering if anyone that has already rooted the ROG Phone has tried the Magisk Module VoEnabler to see if it helps out in anyway?

Even if it doesn't work for your specific carrier does it at least enable the option or allow the use of the 800mhz for internet? As for a phone that is advertised that is is VoLTE compatiable I've noticed on mine it's completely disabled in the firmware. Can't even toggle it in the Android Hidden Menu. I'm a Three UK user and just wondering what the chances are of ever getting support for this.
if you go to ASUS's Zentalk forum this is a request by MANY users that own the phone. But we doubt it will be added.
