Hello everyone! I know this is a small gripe but does anyone know how to change the gallery setting so that the pictures start from "newest --> to oldest"?
It was like that on the Vibrant before the 2.2 update, and now it has reversed.
Its kind of annoying to have to scroll all the way to the end when you want to show someone something-- but at least is opens faster!!

Hi guys,
I am wondering if anyone knows how to change a dock shortcut back to a plus sign.
I clicked on the plus sign to create a shortcut to an app but wanted to revert back to nothing being there (just the 'plus' sign to add a shortcut). But the only thing I found was 'X Blank' which leaves a blank space now. It just looks weird with a space next to all of the plus signs.
Sorry if this is a noob question, but haven't been able to fine the answer. If anyone could help me that would be great. I'm using Froyobread v020.
Yeah annoying isnt it, LOL?
I ended up resetting to default settings :]
First, I'd like to say a huge thanks to the developers on XDA for everything you've done for my wife's new Nook Tablet and my old HTC Hero CDMA that's now running ICS (you rock jaybob)! You guys are all awesome!
On to my problems...
First, rooted the wife's Nook Tablet, did the partial debloat (worked flawlessly Indirect, after I fixed a driver issue on my end...had to uninstall it and grab it to install the proper drivers before it installed the usb mass storage device driver, otherwise ADB wouldn't see it).
All the B&N stuff is there and using Go Launcher on the "android" side. Here's my first issue...some menus (Beautiful Widgets & Astro File Manager to name a few) and a few other random apps have white text on the menu making it essentially impossible to read what that option is. I played around a little with the Go Launcher settings, but can't find anything to darken the text. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Second, wife doesn't like the stock android keyboard because each letter you press the preview of that character pops up right above it. I know it's a throwback to when you had small screens and it's just a confirmation of the letter your pressing, but she finds it very distracting (I don't even notice it! heh heh) Tried installing other keyboards but since there's no way to go to the stock android settings (only goes to nook settings), I can't enable the keyboards. I tried going to the nook hidden settings and selecting a new keyboard from there, but only the "android keyboard" shows up, not the other couple I tried installing.
Last, is there any way to bring up the stock android settings options?
Swore I'd never say this to keep like sounding like a noob instead of just a lurker, but I looked around the forums and didn't see any questions that addressed my "problems" ...so if there are answers to these somewhere, a link would be appreciated.
I have the feeling these are issues that can't be fixed until get access to the bootloader/recovery and get the ability to cook custom ROMs.
Thanks in advance for the help!

The stock android settings menu doesn't exist. Try using the Hidden Settings app to get to the most common settings.
Ahh...that explains it...was looking in the wrong forum! lol I think I was searching my HTC Hero forum since that's where I default to. The keyboard fix worked. Gonna try the menu thing later after I finish reading all the posts.
hello everyone
i'm facing some software problems, the mini diary icon move it self to page 3 on app menu and every time i move it back to page2 it move it self to page3 next day, its not that big deal, but you know, even sometimes the 4 main shortcuts in the bottom (dialer, contacts, messaging and apps) disappear and 4 other apps take their place, do you think i should change the rom? by the way im using an official rom
thanks in advance
Hi! I also have this problem. I'm also on stock (2.3.5)I have noticed the problem after updating the os. Besides your problem, mine cannot hold the icons in folders. I put them in,but after i restat the phone they are allover the menu list. Any fix, anybody? I heard the problem is the launcher...
In my text messaging threads, I (as in Me) comes up in a little greyed out box.
I want to be able to set a picture for myself, but the HTC contact app won't let me.
I tried going into contacts>people>My profile>edit>camera button and selecting it, but once it's cropped, it reverts to cropping the picture again.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
Hello everyone!
I've got some questions about my galaxy S2.
I have my device for about a month now and decided to root it (ICS).
I installed GO launcher and for some reason it appeared in my task manager and i swiped it away by accident and thats where the ~ started
Got a black homescreen, rebooting didn't help so i thought well this is some kind of brick?
Yesterday i downloaded the pre-leaked 4.1.2 jelly bean (as belgium still doesn't have the official update) and put it on my device. I think it's dated from early november 2012.
Everythings working fine now but i have a few questions about changing some settings i don't seem to find or that don't work.
1.) Text message app:
The chat bubbles seem larger and the text in it too compared to ICS (if i remember it correctly). Is there any way to make make the font size even smaller than the default "extra small" which is quite large in my opinion. I don't want to use another messaging app and i tried a few apps to change font size but they didnt change it inside the messages app.
2.) Message buzzer:
When recieving a message my phone buzzes very hard and loudly for about a whole second eventhough i put it on heartbeat :s
Any idea how to fix this?
3.) Notification bar:
When sliding down the notification bar the upper row of switches always is in the middle position and then scrolls sideways to the first switch automatically, is this normal? and is there a way to change this?
4.) Go Locker:
When pressing a button to open the lockscreen my touch doesnt always respond. Need to lock it again, light up the screen again and then i'm able to swipe the screen. Normal?
Thanks in advance
I'd answer your questions one by one but i'm gonna make an aseveration instead.
It's normal, you'll get used to it, use the vol rocker to change the size.
You're on the leak, you can flash the netherlands ROM if you like, it's jb final.
Some of the apps that worked so well on ICS won't work the same way because of the different OS and lack of app upgrade.

dun use go launcher/ go locker if u feel that it is the cause. go launcher is known for it's big memory hogging/ overeater. try buzz launcher :cyclops:
@gastonw i know about the volume button but it doesn't go as small as before
@cyelanius i have no trouble with the memory usage, dont see much diff in batery life and i'm not a gamer on this device
Thanks for the replies anyways
Trust me, you'll get used to; I did.
