I have not rooted my Tbolt yet, trying to save it for when I am bored. Is that script in the app or when the phone boots? If it's in the app, would you mind posting it?

I would rather use Google Talk, but I am looking for a phone to PC video chat solution. Maybe they will upgrade soon or Skype video chat will arrive soon.

From what I saw, no. I didn't see the option for video chat or anything, just send a pic. It's weird.

One of my friends told me that you can't make them but you can join video chats in progress. The I can't confirm that's its true since I'm not old enough to make a google + account -_-.
In the descriptions on the market page it says u can do hangouts using video. Guess it is only on a couple of devices at the moment. Maybe it will be updated for us soon.

This is weird. I still haven't figured it out. If u can only join them and not start them how do they get started.

Here is some videos I found that sorta explain how to join Hangouts (video chat). It kinda sucks that you need someone that has a computer but Facebook cant do mobile video chat . Im curious to see how sprints 3g could handle video chat since its been poor around my area.

Do you have "Enable Always-On Mobile Data" checked in Settings > Wireless and Networks > Mobile Networks? Google+ uses the Google Push system. When you disable that setting, the only data that syncs are ones you can set to "poll" at a specific frequency.
If that isn't it, try wiping Google+ data in manage applications then see if it works. This has cured all of my Google+ sync issues. Lastly, try uninstalling it completely and reinstalling it.

Bumping this as i would like to use my gmail app to send mail... are we the only two that have had this problem?
+1 Here with the same problem. Messages just hang in the "Sent" tab.
Anyone with any suggestions?
Thanks!
Glad to know its not just my phone. I was never able to get this working on my acer tablet either... so i have no idea whats going on with it.
But what you mentioned above me, after hitting send it just fades out the send button and hangs there with no thinking circle or anything
I have the same problem when i use mobile network... but works fine on wifi.
Mine wont send on mobile network or wifi
Might have just figured it out...
Try uninstalling the "update" of gmail, and go back to stock gmail app.

Just noticed that if I go into any or my contacts that have been synced to Facebook will force close if i open them. I tried removing my Facebook account and cleared the data of the contacts app but still get a force close.
I'd really like to not have to reset to try and fix it. Anyone have any other suggestions?

My cousin was having the same problem on the Droid X yesterday. He did everything you could think of and contacts kept closing. In the end he unlinked facebook completely (from accounts) and the contacts app was fine. If you already tried that then i suggest probably uninstall facebook to see if it still happens.
also if you have any system apps frozen i would suggest you unfreeze them, this will cause contacts to crash too, depending on which one of course.

Is anybody on here able to initiate a video call via Google Talk from their g2 to a desktop Talk client? Every time I try it connects for 2 seconds and terminates the connection.
What'd driving me crazy is I can accept incoming video requests and it works perfectly.
I'm on a stock rooted device, pretty sure I had this problem before root.

At&t has a Wi-Fi only restriction. There's a guide on the forums to enable video chat over 3G. Are you on Wi-Fi? That could be the issue but I'm not to sure, when I get home I'll test.

Sorry i should have mentioned that. I've only tried this over wireless. I've also tried with 2 different desktop clients. Same thing with both can't make call but can receive call?

Tried to another Galaxy SII Specifically on Sprint. Also tried with the web based client. If you see a video talk option, then you know it works. I've tried with Desktop (web based or iChat based) and Phone based, to no avail.

Perfect. Much thanks!
My parents have Androids, but on Verizon (Droid Bionic's). I thought it was weird, but this is the same thing I was seeing as well. Connects for a second or two, then disocnnects and says there's a problem with the network. If they contact me, it works perfectly fine.

Dude, try revoking access to the Twitter for Android App from Twitter's web settings. Then uninstall Twitter, re-install and add your account.
