Corrupt File - Hero, G2 Touch Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Im trying to put the FROYO_2.2.1_Final_Android_Stock Rom on my HTC Hero, however once I try to flash it, It says after verifying update package:
"E:Corrupt file: system/app/HTC_IME_lo15.apk
E: Verification failed
Installation Aborted."
Can someone help me please?

Try downloading it again or use a different link to download the file

What recovery are you using?
If you are using Amon Ra it could be that the file is not signed.Either flash clockworkmod recovery or sign the zip file.

Happened to me before... try to d/l the file again (if possible from a different source) and it should work just fine.

HTC Thunderbolt and Unrevoked - Installation Help Please

I'm a newbie with the HTC Thunderbolt (running Android 2.2.1). I'm trying to root my phone using Unrevoked, but when I get an installation error when installing the driver zip file. message says:
Revolutionary CWM v4.0.1.4
Installing: /sdcard/revolutionary-0.4pre4.zip
Finding update package....
Opening update....
Installing update....
Installation aborted.
I've re-downloaded the driver zip file several times, but this doesn't seem to correct the problem.
Any advice please? Thanks.
So you have clockwork recovery on you phone? If so you already have s-off. That is all Revolutionary does. To get root you need to flash the Su-2.3.6.3.zip file. On the Revolutionary site their is a link to a documentation page that has the Su2.3.6.3.zip that you flash in recovery. I'm pretty sure what you are trying to flash there is not a flashable .zip.
Edit: here is the link to the su .zip

I'm pretty sure that file is the zip file containing the executable to run from the computer that gives the phone a custom hboot with s-off.

Installation Problem Solved
Awesome - thank you JB0818 for the zip file link. I apparently had a corrupted zip file. Rooted and good to go now.
I'm looking to root via this method but I want to understand this before I start. How do you "apply" the su.zip? Are you prompted for this file upon a reboot?

[Q] My S3 is only booting into TWRP and Download mode

I was trying to update the CM 11 Rom that was on my phone but in the process of doing this it failed and now whenever I reboot it just boots straight into recovery. I've read about flashing a ROM with Odin but my windows 8 laptop isn't recognizing my phone even after getting the micro USB port on my phone replaced. It's charging just not being recognized!
Also when I tried to flash a ROM in recovery it says it fails
This is what comes up when flashing
Code:
Updating partition details
Installing '/external_sd/cm-11-20140407-UNOFFICI
Checking for MD5 file...
Skipping MD5 check: no MD5 file found.
set_metadata_recursive: some changes failed
E:Error executing updater binary in zip '/extern
Error flashing zip '/external_sd/cm-11-20140407-
Updating partition details
Then when I click reboot system it says (this only happens if I try and flash a rom)
Fix superuser permissions?
Root permissions appear to be lost.
fix root permissions now?
(Fixes permissions on su binary & app)
Can someone help me fix my phone please
1st try flashing stock rom, then comment here
The .zip file of the ROM that you're trying to flash seems corrupted.
Try to get your phone recognized by Odin and flash a stock ROM into the phone.

[Q] Android Flashable zip creation and signature matching failed

I am creating a flashable zip file for updating my android ICS rom.I have been following the below tutorial for making the flashable zip,
And for signature matching I have followed the below tutorial
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...tutorial-making-flashable-zips-edify-t1611615
After everything done successfully when I want to use my flashable zip from stock recovery mode then it says "Signature Verification Failed".
But I have followed everything that is written in the tutorial. So where is the problem??Can anyone help??
I am attaching the the zip with the thread also..
Have you tried toggle zip verification and signed zipped.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1966007?
I have been trying to signed the zip using SignApk tool?
Do I also have to signed the flash zip file ??
I actually could not understand the whole process as I am new on it.
Another thing can you tell me Is it possible to use a flash zip file in stock recovery mode??

Softbricked Padfone S / Access To Fastboot and Recovery only

Hi I need some help please.
I only have accesss to the fastboot mode and the recovery.
The bootloader is unlocked and I already tried every guide I could find on the net how to flash a new stock rom.
I tested many different recoverys but I haven't found one which was able to flash a stock rom to the device.
For example I tried this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/padfone-x/help/guide-restoring-stock-rom-recovery-t3179818
But when I try to flash the 4.4.2 downgrade firmware in the recovery just nothing happens ("zip file signature verification" disabled) or the logs says: "E: Zip signature verification failed: 1; Error flashing zip "x.zip"; Updating partition details..." ("zip file signature verification" enabled)
I hope you guys can help me, thanks
Solution
I found it out myself:
When I tried to flash a rom using cwm it said something like "this is for T00N devices; you have t00n device".
So I tried the modified roms which are able to convert TW to WW from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/padfone-x/general/guide-asus-padfone-s-kk-l-fix-brick-t3197684
and it just worked fine now using cwm 6.0.5.1.
Maybe I could help someone else with this at least

Link to latest recovery image required.

I've got the "Your device is corrupt" message appear on my Swift 2. In the summer my wife had the same issue with hers and I fixed it by downloading the TOS163B Signed Recovery zip and applying update from SD card but it won't install on mine because it is older than the installed version. So I found TOS249H Signed Fastboot zip and I am getting a signature verification error.
What file do I need to fix this? I'm guessing a later Recovery zip file but I can't find it.
Thanks in Advance
