[Q] Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 running 2.2 Froyo Problem. - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I recently installed the 2.2 Froyo rom from Wolf running with 58 baseband
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=945264
It was working perfectly fine at first.
Then I installed some apps/games then I turned off phone and charged it.
Now whenever my phone is turned on, pops up saying process is not running, force close or wait. Even when I press force close or wait, nothing happens.
For some reason, it cannot even pick up my sim card and when I connect my phone to the computer, my computer picks it up but my phone does not.
It keeps doing this, I need help. :S
How do I fix this? :S

Have u tried reflashing wolf's rom? that might do it. Remember to wipe phone, all caches, and battery stats before hand in xrecovery. Try that first then post weather or not that worked. I have other ideas if that doesnt work.
Sent from XDA Premium from my X10a rooted running 2.2.1 CM Rom from Rendeiro2005

if i recall correctly you must not charge the phone while it's OFF, that's when this will start to happen
reflash/restore and all will be ok

Okay I will try. I doubt I can reflash because it doesn't seem to pick up my SD card and Sim card.

I would if I could since process system does not respond I can't access my SD card, because it won't pick it up and also my SIM card.

I have a few other solutions. U should first try flashtool and totally start over with the ROM flashing.
The flashtool link is in the x10 android development section. I use the 54 baseband for me

So is it actually possible to flash the rom through flashtool instead of xrecovery?
As in the Froyo rom.
Plus what is the difference between baseband 54 and 58?

I am trying something right now. I flashed it back to version 2.1. It worked! Now I'm gonna try and install the baseband 54 then Froyo 2.2
EDIT: It seems to work flawlessly now! Let's see what happens. :S

Wow, 2.2 Froyo works fine now, no process.system fail but now it cannot pick up SIM card. I went to dev tools, bad behaviour, crash system server. It did nothing. I factory reset phone it did nothing. Plus now for some reason, it says unknown baseband and I tried both 54 and 58 baseband. Gosh. T_T
EDIT: I rooted it, installed apps/games on flashtool. APK files done. Now when it starts up, it's stuck on the Sony Ericsson title. Ohhh, come on. T_T

i guess you have to start over from scratch... make sure all steps are done correctly.

I'll try again, maybe another 2.2 Froyo rom, who do you recommend? Link me and I will try it.

Froyo 2.2 rom from Wolf works fine now except for Market which I downloaded and flashed into phone. Pops up when I open Market with.
"Sorry! The application Market (process com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again".
How do I fix this?
EDIT: Well, I went yo charge phone while it was on, pops up with process.system is not responding again. T_T

Hey im having the exact same problem, how did you fix it?

Can someone send me a link to another Froyo 2.2 rom that they would recommend?
EDIT: Turns out that newmarket.zip is the problem coursing tee process.system crash. Took me a while to figure it out. T_T
EDIT2 : I don't know anymore... T_T

I do not get this at all. I used xrecovery on CM 6.1.3 [v05].zip and CM Update v053.zip and works fine at first, once I turn off or reboot it pops up with process.system is not responding. ARGH.

If things get stuck at downloading its normally a problem at goods end not yours. Have you tried going to settings/manage applications/all applications/market and clean clear the cache and force close it and then rebooting to solve your problem. This works most of the time

Yes, i tried.
- Begin with my X10 in 2.0.2.A.0.24
- I installed first the baseband with your "Baseband 2.1.54, A beginners guide for x10I / x10a"
- BusyBox and xRecovery installed an works ok.
- Flash Beta4 with xRe3covery and all ok, except by this problem with market.
- Restore full backup and the Oficial ROM works ok, except again with market.
- Recovery with SE PC Companion, and all works except by Market. Curiosly... xRecovery doesn't work (Back key after Sony Ericson logo), it's possible that PC Companion erase it.
- I flash the ROM X10i_2_0_A_0_504_GLOBAL
- With SuperOneClick, i rooted again my X10
- With FlashTool, install BusyBox and xRecovery (by Advanced), but xRecovery don't load.
- At this moment, i have a X10 with:
Model: X10i
Firmware: 2.1-update1
Baseband: 2.0.46
Kernel: 2.6.29 [email protected]#1
Build Number: 2.0.A.0.504
Without any posibility of install any app!!! My X10 return to a single Nokia 1100 state
You need to root your device with the flash tool and install xrecovery with it too and then go back to my guide

I have the same problem with the old market. To install anything you just have to wait, after a while you will see selected app downloading and installing. If it takes more then 4 minutes just cancel your download, start it again and wait. That's why i have to use new market.

I had the same problem, it's an issue of baseband. You just have to install new baseband (2.1.54) using flasher(not sure if it's the right name of this program). If you want to install new rom, you won't be able to recovery the old android 2.1 because the old baseband is not available on the internet. Think about that! Because it's akready to late for me

[Q] Installed Cyanogen CM7 - Boot loop - Please help, desperate.

My x10 is stuck in a boot loop after I flashed the ROM.
How do i stop this from happening? I really like the look of the ROM over my current one.

EDIT: Managed to get freex10 ROM running. So I have a useable phone now.

Same Issue I think
I think I am having the same issue but when my x10 boots it goes to unlock screen and then I have this loop with "The application ADW.Launcher(process.android.acore) has stopped unexpectedly. The device then flashes the Cynogen loading screen and goes back to the unlock screen where I get the same message and the same loop. My xrecovery doesnt work and I cant seem to get the phone to use the SE update manager because it also says its up to date and doesnt provide a repair option. Can anyone help with this? I dont care which android os I go to at this point as long as it will work.
You probably need to use flashtool to flash the .52 baseband fix. Unless you have .52 already.
If that doesnt work, try flashing 2.1 totally over again with flashtool.

Can someone link me a guide as to how to flash the ROM with flash tool?
I flashed the baseband with it but I used xrecovery for the ROM itself because I could not work out how to use the flash tool.
I'll try reflashing the baseband when I get home tonight.

To get out of the bootloop just flash back to 2.1 and start over again. And make sure to follow the instalation instructions given by the dev when flashing the rom.
I still can't work it out.
The ROM is in a .zip file and the flash tool doesent seem to be picking it
up and when I unzip it there are no selectable files.

The file you use in flashtool is an .ftf file

Then what do I do with a .zip?
yes, you DO flash the .zip file with xrecovery. step one, flash bb with flashtool, step two, start phone in xrecovery and flash .zip, reboot, and it should work.

first try SEUS that comes on your ROM( left click SE icon in 'my computer' install) if that one doesn't work, uninstall and install SEUS from SE site, but one of them will say 'repair'

Yeah, that's what I did the first time.
I just tried it again. Same problem.
Phone turns on, boots, sits on home screen for a few seconds then restarts.
Why would this happen?
EDIT: I managed to check the baseband version int he few seconds the phone was on, it says it is unknown. Would this cause this problem?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=928343
The ftf files you need are on the second post. Just put the ftf file in the firmware section of the flashtool then flash it and follow the on screen instructions.
With baseband unknown go to the app on your phone called dev tools then go to bad behaviour and crash system sever when the phone reboots you should have signal and baseband will no longer be unkown.
I tried that, It keeps telling me I have my old Cyanogen mod for 2.2 installed when I do it.
In the process of running SEUS, hopefully it puts me back to 2.1

No, i dont think that is the cause of the rebooting cause ii get that a lot but the phone never reboots on me, what kernel are you on. Cause a lot of the custom kernels reboot when the screen is off or when you have the cpu up too high.

Help asaappppp!!!

But i know my usb port isnt broken it was working all good before that :'( pleease help asap i ran out of charge actually what it does is when i plug in it boot up for a second it then just shut down and it keeps doing it over and over ?!?!!?
I think I know you've done...you may have actually deleted(full wipe) everything via xrecovery,
I did that once and it kept doing what you described.
Just connect to Sony Ericsson Update Service (SEUS)and reinstall firmware.

Also then leave your phone alone, on charge on wall for a while

flash bb .54 first, wipe in xrecovery, after that reinstall Wolfbreak TW7.
if it can not fix your problem, try to using another charger (with the same micro usb port like original charger).
hope this help
Never mind. Just repaired everything.

Just leave it connected on wall charger for about 45 minutes coz you'll probably know SEUS won't do anything if battery is below 50%. Then do what I said.
I reckon it IS still charging, so even though it keeps rebooting it should still charge.
Finally after leaving on charge you'll need to pull the battery out to turn phone off. Then connect to SEUS in flash mode like normal.
Worth a try, like I said I had something familiar.

But if you just leave the phone charging for a hour it will charge and it will switch on.
Not really.. I've actually just tried what he did. I tried to flash bb67, and got a bootloop as he did. I'm using wolfbreaks Rom and it doesn't load up the Rom.
I fixed it by pulling the battery out and then reflashing bb49 which was what I was on before.
Confused..is anyone else managed to get bb67 on wolfbreaks?

[Q] Trouble with Bitsnacker 2.1 on xperia x10

Okay last week i use the superoneclick method to root my device, and have since been reading up on installing roms etc etc.
so i followed a tutorial that got me to instal busybox then xrecovery, i backed up the system before installing Bitsnacker 2.1, when it installed it started just fine, however when i opened my browser it would not close, so i rebooted the phone, it started just fine but my home screen was inexistant, it was completely black. so i figured another reboot was in order, this time i used xrecovery to reboot the phone, this just caused the phone to boot infinitely.
so i reinstaled Bitsnacker 2.1from scratch, its now working fine again, however my phone will not transmit any data, it cant connect using 3g or anything so im having to use my wifi, which is fine apart from when im out and about.
so is there nything i can do to fix this or is this a known bug in the rom? ( i couldnt find anything in the thread for Bitsnacker 2.1)
Did you wipe everything in xrecovery before you flashed the bitsnacker ROM?
Do you have the .54 baseband?
