Everytime I get a text my text notification goes off, but my alarm chime goes off too. Is anyone else experiencing thus problem too?

Do you have a 3rd party sms app? You might have not turned off notifications in the default one if so.

I don't have a 3rd party SMS app. Just the stock messaging app.

Is there a way to turn off certain notifications while playing music automatically?
While using widget soid the notification s don't work unless I set it to pop up. Any ideas on how I can fix this?

SOL bro.
The phone itself must have integrated within it a policy that allows one to directly change settings from the notification menu. They say that HTC (and I guess SGS phones) has this.
Otherwise, no dice.
Glad to see somebody else using this app though. I absolutely love it
Oh well. Its fine using popup.

Hey guys,
So I have literally followed every guide in trying to get my Atrix to vibrate on a new email, but it still does not work. Does anyone know how I can fix this? Sorry for the newbish question btw.
Thanks.

You could use the app vibration notifier.
You can set it to vibrate.....open gmail app, go to settings, pick the account you wanna change, go to the bottom and click "labels to notify", click inbox, click vibrate and set to always and there you go.

I have done what both of you have said, but it still does not work.

Is there any way to customize the vibrate patterns on LGOG? I checked in settings but I don't think I see such options.
I just hate the default long vibration.
Settings, sound, vibrate type.

Wow, so this mean that the Sprint version of LGOG has this option but the ATT one doesn't? That sucks..
I never would have guessed software would be different between the two. Oh well I still love my new phone

I use the "SMS Popup" app which allows you to do custom vibrations for receiving texts. You can specify the milliseconds for vibration on/off. Mine is "0,200,100,200,100,200,100,200" for 4 quick vibrations.

Does it allow you to use the default SMS app? I really like the stock one on here

Yep. It just replaces the default SMS notifications.

Kind of reviving an old thread here, but I've only had my phone a couple weeks...
I wanted mine to vibrate longer so I tried SMS popup after reading this thread. The vibe pattern stuff worked ok but I found a few downsides (didn't seem to be able to activate the notification LED, seemed to deactivate the lock screen sms icon 'new messages' indicator) and our phones' built-in sms popups seemed a little more useful (but uglier) to me, so I stopped using it.
Today I stumbled on "AutomateIt" which can trigger events on incoming SMS, and one of the actions is vibrate of a custom length (not patterns). That seems to work pretty well for me and I can probably make use of some of its other features as well.
I was running cm10 on my s3 and one of my favorite features was quiet hours which allowed me to turn off the notification light during select times.
I rooted my s4 and was wondering if there were any apps that people might know of to give me the same control.
Thanks.

I'll give it a shot. I've never been able to get light flow to work on any of my phones though.

I find Lightflow buggy. Try Light Manager. It has a sleep option.

OK I've tries both apps and neither work. As soon as I install them all notification lights stop working.
I have tried all types of tests and cannot figure out what the issue is.

Light flow definitely works, I'm using it on my phone. Did you make sure to enable the app in accessibility?

Sounds like you might need to do a factory reset?

Did you go into light flow and setup the colors you want for the programs you want to show the led?
I just deleted all of the light flow components and installed light manager. Looks like that is working, fingers crossed!!
