Hi Everyone,
I've seen a really nice widget floating around that was designed using Tasker for notification on your lock screen, in tandem with widget locker. It's simple text based widget with 3 rows, one for each notification. I was wondering if anyone has come across a similar themed widget designed outside of Tasker? I don't have a lot of use for Tasker and am hesitant to spend 6.99 on it, for one use. It looks like what you can see on the homescreen in the following image.
Thanks!

you can use go launcher ex with go launcher ex notification to get sms/gmail/missed called count.
I am actually quite suprised there is no widget for this.
I know, right?! It seems like such a basic widget?

Does Gmail App provide an API so other apps know that you have new unread email?
If you only want to see your last call, missed call, unread text message, etc, give “Last Call Widget” (on Market) a try.
Get SMS Unread Count from market. Widgets for sms, email, and calls. Can use custom icons also.

The screenshot provided looks a little like "missed it" from the Android Market isn't it??

Is there any way to get an sms preview or notification for the stock android lockscreen on stock vibrant froyo. I flashed the mod where I have an option to change my lockscreen between 4 choices. Im using the stock android one and want to change the volume slider into the sms slider when I have an sms waiting. A preview would be nice also if possible? Someone please help or guide me to do this.Thank you

I use an apk called Flyscreen that has a lock screen with SMS. It also can show you your Gmail, Face book, email, weather,etc.

Widget Locker keeps the stock android look, you can create a slider for just about anything, and if you use something like Handcent or GO SMS you can also place the widgets from those apps on the lock screen.

I just want to change the arrow thing to take me directly into sms app when there is a sms. I really dont like the app screenlock changers, theyre slow. otherwise goto is a great app. and I use stock android.
I saw a couple of screenshots with text used instead of the icons and/or folders. If its an app what is it? I have the minimalistic text.

Post up the screen shot you are referring to, I'm not sure what you are looking at.
If you are reffering to icons that say "phone" instead of a picture of a phone it's just a simple png file. ADW and LauncherPro(i think) allow for icon changes. Widget Locker also allows custom icons. The files are all over the net, look in the Android section of xda, they have a huge Icon thread.
Danny has a theme that uses text for the main screen instead if Icons, looks pretty nice, after unzipping the file you can use what you need if you don't want the entire thing.

I think this is what you're looking for: http://www.mediafire.com/?bi6xcug62hktann. I didn't make these, just found them using a google search.
As was mentioned, you need a launcher that allows you to change the icon image. For example, long press on a dock icon in launcher pro and select "change icon," then you can select any icon you've put on your sd card.
Hope that helps.
You can try the texticons app in the market. Seems to work with most roms and launchers.
If you still need some, I have about 160.
Edit, here they are. From XDA, can't recall who to credit.

Is it possible to add other weather conditions to Sense? Today for example it comes across as "Dreary". I was like, WTF does that mean - weather-wise? I looked it up - it's an adjective: Dull, bleak, and lifeless; depressing. Anyway, I would not characterize the weather as that - it's more dusty than anyting. When I looked at my Rainmeter desktop I see it gives me more of an accurate weather reading - "Blowing Dust" - it pulls from weather.com. Is there a way to add other weather types like this? Or change where Sense is pulling it's weather information form?

I'm afraid you have to put up with the dreary weather
There are quite some third party weather apps, but the built-in HTC one is not hackable as far as I know

That's what I figured. Been using Sense, since it was TouhFlo, so I figured I've give XDA a shot. If they haven't hacked it, no one has...
So I have WidgetLocker on my phone and I'm trying to customize my lockscreen to look similar to a WP7 lockscreen.
These are two examples of ones I'd like my phone to look like:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I'm currently using Launcher 7 as my home launcher, and just want everything to look similar/I like the look of the lockscreen on the phones.
Basically I want to customize a clock like the first picture, but have unread text message/phone calls and maybe a calendar/appointment thing.
Any help or forums that anyone could direct me to to help customize my lockscreen like the WP7s would be greatly appreciated thank you.

maybe you can mess around with minimalistic text widgets.

Yeah I tried that but I can't get it to show me if I have unread text messages, and I can't get it to fit all the stuff I want that way.
I really need a clock widget I can customize and make it look like the WP7 clock.
Why don't you ask this in the WidgetLocker thread? I'm sure that zHk3r would know.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=825553
I know it's an old thread but I figured I'd offer some input.
I'm currently using a similar setup (Launcher 7).
On WidgetLocker, I use Minimalistic Text for the time, day of the week, and date. I use Smooth Calendar for appointments. I use a combination of SMS Unread Count and Missed It! for missed calls and SMS alerts. (Recent Gmail update prevents mail alerts.)
I'll update the thread (or post) with a screenshot later today.

I need help finding this widget. It has the top weather, location, alarm on it. I flashed ICS on my note and it didn't save in Titanium backup. If someone knows what widget is at the top could you post the name of it please. thanks
Looks pretty sweet! I wouldn't mind using it as well.
I cant find it exactly, but I can say with a tweak of the font, and some super customization I was able to get everything on that widget with Minimalistic text excluding the next alarm and the exact font.
All the () and / would need to be inserted as static text when setting it up but it is feasible if Minimalistic text somehow supports alarms that i cant see.
Ultimate Custom Clock Widget
thanks.

It's not Minimalistic text. I've tried recreating it.
