Can somebody confirm an issue w/ superclean 2.9 for me? - Fascinate Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Flashed Superclean- LOVE IT- The only problem is that I will miss a call once every day or two- The call never rings my phone, Never shows up in call log, never shows I have a missed call. I will get a VM (from google voice) if they leave a message....I really like this ROM and do not want to go elswhere....but am starting to get a pissed off wife. Can anybody shed some light/ confirm this/ help me?
Thanks!!!

Don't make a post to put a show on for your "wife" in a poor effort to prove you did not get her call. We all know you were up to no good and so does she.....
In all seriousness I don't have that issue. I also do not use google voice. Is this problem when calls are coming from the fowarding service of google voice? If so maybe the issue lies there and not in the ROM.

I missed a couple of calls when I was on 2.6 but since I flashed up to 2.9.2V I have not had any issues.

No issues from me.

I had same issue on EB01 radio along with data drop. Been using the DL09 radio for about 3 weeks and has not happened since. After radio flash be sure to do the *228 1 and *228 2. Ymmv but doesn't hurt to try.
good day.

i did once or twice, then flashed 2.9.2 and its all good!

I have had missed calls not show up on phone but are in Verizon voice mail. Also have had missed calls show on phone but no voice mail notice, all from wife.

People...this has nothing to do with my wife. This has to do wi th th e phone not getting phone calls. I adm seeing other people on this forum with similar issues but have not seen a fix yet.

There is your fix.

Is it possible to just flaw the radio to dl09?

Sorry...*flash

You can get it here and flash using PDA in Odin:
Another option is to Odin back to an Eclair stock rom, OTA to EA28 then root and install a custom Rom using CWM so you don't replace your radio.

GSB v2.1 | GingerBread 2.3.3 issues with 3G??

Can't quite post in the DEV section, I'm wondering if anybody is experiencing issues with this ROM and Cricket?
Everything works great, then I make a call and I lose 3g, the market tells me no network connection, so it's not an APN issue. I disable and enable the mobile internet and it's back until the next phone call. I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else yet.
Some things to try;
Wipe dalvik
Run fix_permissions
Update prl
Set mobile data to national roaming.
Sent from my ERIS GSBv2.1 using XDA Premium App
Just did all that, still having the issue.
Tried tethering with Gingerbread, after 40mb I lost 3g again
Seems to be happening after extensive data usage as well. Also let Maps run for a while, I checked on the phone and it lost data connection as well. Going to try logcat, see what happens.
I used to have the same issue in 2.1 stock, I had to get a replacement through VZ as a warranty issue.
Sent from my ERIS GSBv2.0 using XDA App
It never really had this issue though. As a final resort I'm going to wipe it completely (including SD card) and try again with the ROM. I really like Gingerbread features but can't live with this issue.

How did you warranty exchange based on tethering not working when the only official way of tethering with Verizon is by paying for the ability with an officially sanctioned tethering device?
I was referring to losing 3g and mobile coverage, I wasn't tethering, but his issue sounded similar. It actually happened most to me after a phone call or text message.

[Q] Any that uses Mobile AP on their Vibrant, are you being blocked?

Are you experiencing any issues?
Yesterday around 3pm I used my phone as a modem for my laptop and it worked fine no issues. But later on at night around 9pm when I tried using the internet it would keep redirecting me to the T-Mobile Tethering Plan page stating I had to now pay for that service.
Anyone else experiencing this issue?
Is there a way around this issue?
Btw I am rooted and using Bionix 1.3.1
Might be the Rom you are using! I am using Axura 2.3.1.3 Voodoo Rom and have no issues. Try using a different Rom! Had that same issue when using stock froyo Rom!

Just tested on trigger in houston, tx and am not being redirected so far Lol.
when did you sign your contact with t mobile?
Ive never had that happen and ive been tethering forever, granted i dont go overboard with it and use it sparingly. How much do you tether? if its alot that may be the cause.
No problem here either.
Thanks guys for your inputs.
I use every other day so yea its often I use it but not for long periods of times..
I'll post up a link to a pic of my laptop screen so you guys can see what it saids.
My freinds wife got that same message using easytether on her mytouch slide. It looks like our ride is over on tethering, it was just a matter of time.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
I got the message like 3 times but I could still use my mobile AP with no issues... think that was on simply galaxy 1.0 se.
I use it. Oh yea, I use it hard. I have not had any issue and hope I never do

Only able to send calls or receive calls from vz customers

My buddy bought a fascinate off my father, its rooted, running sc 2.9.2 ebo1 modem and stock kernel that came with the Rom. anyways he's having problems with out of network calls, any ideas?

Bump
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA App
Probably more of a routing issue than a rom issue. Is it new line if so is it ported? Is he calling from contact list? If so try deleting one and dial directly with all 10 digits. What message does he get or does it just drop without ringing. More info the better

Can I *228 if rooted and running custom Rom?

Sure you can but you will still fry your LTE SIM card.
No need to do that on a 4G device.
Hmm I just read that the frying of the sim card is faults....would like to get more of ppls input on this...

Don't do it... your phone updates every time it restarts.

Once again, this is incorrect. It will not damage your sim card in any way. It will simply disconnect. The whole "*228 fries your SIM" thing is from way back from when the Bolt first came out and has since been corrected.
Ok but that still doesn't answer my question....if I'm rooted and running gingerbread custom Rom can I *228 without messing anything up on my phone....
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA App
Try it! it will not let you. At least my phone just disconnects.

Just tried dialing *228 again for the sake of this thread to see if anything has changed. It still disconnects almost immediately, but now theres a message that says "A Verizon Wireless SIM has activated your service and has updated your phones roaming capabilities". Hope that helps you.

I did it literally just to see if anything had changed since the last time I did it(Which was a genuine mistake when I first got the phone). Nothing has ever happened any time I have dialed *228. If it were to invalidate/fry/immolate/otherwise destroy my SIM, I have extras, as well as two back up phones. I was trying to prove my point that dialing *228 from a 4G LTE device will no longer harm your SIM. Calm down with your insults, brother.

Yes and yes. I'm running Das Bamf 2.1. I really can't stress enough, though, that as far as I can tell, dialing *228 doesn't do ANYTHING either positive or negative other than give the message I posted earlier. I jumped into the testing menu and snooped around and it changes nothing. So unless there's some roaming setting on the network side that I can't see, there's nothing different.

I'm having a similar problem. I'm running beans build 7 but can't get voice or data. I've seen posts about getting the hidden menu enabler and another post about going back to stock and enabling there and then flash a romantic but I'm new at this so I wanted someone to help me understand the steps for the first one I mentioned if it is in fact correct to fix this issue.
