Do you guys think that it's possible to watch movies in 3D on this Evo?
I mean, if I convert a BR 3D disk in an MKV format, would the Evo be able to play it in 3D?
If so that would be awesome, not to mention that I am really thinking to buy this beast!
If the movie is 3d, it will play in 3d. Point blank.

i agree w/ rydah. btw the 3D effect is much more astounding than I thought it would be.. i was skeptical, but not anymore... the optimus 3d looks great w/ 3D (got one for a week =P) but w/ the higher resolution on the evo, i'm super excited

Works for me. I pre-ordered my Evo 4G LTE the other day to replace my Evo 3D. My teenage son is on Virgin Mobile with an LG Optimus V now, so maybe I'll be able to upgrade him to my EVO 3D once I get my EVO 4G LTE.

nice. I plan on using buyback via best buy and getting 280 for my eve 3d and getting the let and 80 back plus a 50 gift card. now i buy an SSD
Why are you upset about it? VM is getting an old phone, rebranded. It runs ICS, but that just tells me that our official release is not far off.

they are not. HTC already said 3d was hype and they are not releasing anymore 3d devices. in fact this was supposed to originally be a 3d device, but it was thrown out the window and it became a virgin mobile prepay phone

you my friend are twisting some facts together....
1) I'd be surprised if HTC really ever said "...3d was hype and they were not releasing anymore 3d devices..." .......might of said no more this year but deff didn't shut the door on the feature in anyway, nor call it "hype."
2) the last one is the worst....the design shown was not "...thrown out the window and it became a virgin mobile prepay phone.".......you do know the VM phone is an EVO3D with VM branding on it....nothing more.....its nothing like the EVO LTE is.

I believe the reasoning for that is because it streams 3d to 3d TVs,not sure if the hdmi works with 3d havnt tried it yet. It's like a computer where if the format is 3d it will recognize and let you view 3d formats in 2d or stream/wired to a 3d tv
i was wondering if anyone got eternal legacy working on there evo 3d ? if so how and which version mine will run but it crashes after i take a few steps thanks for your help
I had it working on gingerbread no problem. Didn't do anything special. But haven't tried on ics though

I'm having trouble with it crashing on the VM HTC EVO V 4G as well. The game's 3D also doesn't work with the 3D screen.. it just splits the images onto the left and right sides of the screen.. but I can turn 3D off, it's not a big deal.
What ROM would make my EVO 3D most like the Galaxy S 3, or at least give me Jelly Bean... I'm trying to decide between the GS3 or jumping ship to the iPhone 5. I'm disappointed in the iPad, feel like I will feel locked down with the iPhone but I'm ready for a change...
It depends... Is it a sprint evo 3d? Virgin mobile evo v? Or sim card evo 3d?

Whats the difference b/w Htc EVO 3d and HTC Evo 4G+ X515e.
Is the method of rooting,installing recovery and the roms of both phones same and I would also like to know how is the Development section of htc evo are new rom being developed for evo.

one has 3D the other doesn't. the camera is 8 mp on the 4g while the 3d has a 5mp dual lense 3d camera. The method of rooting could be the same but probably not. just curious why you asking??

Saw a add of 4g+ which being sold at a cheap price that's why i want to know if both these phone r same.I didn't find any separate section for 4g+ in xda device list therefore asked in Evo 3d forum that if i buy the 4g+ will i be able to use Evo 3d roms and other modding tutorials on 4g+.
The EVO 3D CDMA and GSM use different hboots, radios, recoveries, and roms. I'm guessing that while similar, you could not use them for that phone and it would require modified recoveries and bootloaders.

Both use absolutely different set of hardware, EVO 3D can support new 4.1 os, sense 4.5+ ROMs, while EVO 4g is a low activity device now. Nothing is comparable between the two.

Ok.I apologize for hurry reading, both phones' specifications are quite close. I feel EVO3D is more reliable and a hardened body shell, Shooteru's battery is also good.
