[Q] Cannot Even Get past The Setup Screen! - G Tablet Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So turned on my new Gtablet this morning, after leaving to charge overnight. Booted up - with no welcome setup screen - set up wifi OK and got the message to update to 3558.
Started that off, it seemed to run OK; after about 5 minutes I briefly tapped the power on button, as the screen had gone dark, and got the message that read something like, application android media.com has stopped unexpectedly (sorry I didn't write it down) and forced closed. The download didn't proceed any further so after another 10 minutes so I cancelled it.
Powered down and rebooted. The welcome/setup screen now appeared. I accept the licence agreement set the date/time and press next.
Get message: "The application Tablet setup (process com.tapntap.welcome) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
I have now repeated this about five times with exactly the same results.
I am really at a loss what to do next. NVFlash restore? Format SD card?
EDIT: Fixed by running recovery with the stock 3558 ROM and instructions from here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=842000

Thanks for the post. I was mighty PO'd when my new toy crapped out on the first use.

[Q] Funny Random Restart and now a problem...

Okay, so, I was sitting at my desk on the computer and my phone randomly restarted. I let it go for about 5 minutes without interference and it didn't finish starting. So, I pulled the battery, waited about 30 seconds and let it restart. The phone starts normally and then I let stuff load. Then I unlock and it says "Sorry! Process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." and now it shuts it self off. What should I do? I did a factory reset and its fixed... for now...

When it rebooted, did it look like it had already done a reset of your home screen and other settings? Sometimes, if you delete a package that the system is expecting, and it reboots to stock, you'll get that acore error.
If you get another random reboot that comes up with everything reset, you may want to look into replacing the internal memory, or a return to Dell if that is still an option for you.
random reboots
I'm having kinda the same problem but mine is associated with motion... a slight bump and my Streak will reboot....
Where exactly did you put the tape?

[Q] Cyanogen mod not connecting to tmobile phone and data networks

Hey forum,
1st question:
I flashed cm7 a few days ago. Just an hour ago, I haven't been able to connect to any phone or data networks. I restarted my phone and now I get a force close message, "the process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.". When I hit force close, the message comes back 3 seconds later. If tried the press the power button and turn the phone on and off a few times but that hasn't worked so far.
2nd question
I went into cyanogenmod settings>interface>notification power widget>widget buttons, and checked the "toggle2G/3G" option. I checked it out and decided I didn't want it anymore and went to turn it off but it grayed out, making it impossible to uncheck it. Any ideas on how I can make this go away? I have restarted my phone with no luck.
any insight on these questions are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

[Q] Entire device force closes

I'm Sorry if this doesn't warrant a new thread but I honestly have no idea what to do.
I am running the latest stock program, and have rooted with z4root because I wanted to try a few of the nifty little tricks on this website.
all was running smoothly until one time, I turned the device on and needed to put it into airplane mode asap (because obviously I was on an airplane and apparently they frown on that sort of thing) so I held the power button to try and access the menu with the airplane/sleep/turn off buttons (sorry about the lack of technical vocabulary, I'm fairly new to this whole side of computers) and the device just switched off again. Perhaps I was a wee bit too liberal with the power button, I dont know. Anyway, when I tried to turn the device back on, an error message appears claiming (with some variation) "the application K9 (process com.google.process.gapps) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." after I select force close on the first of these notifications, a notification for every app i have downloaded (all from handango or whatever the g tablet market is) comes up. I force close them all and then another comes up saying "the application google services framework )process com.google.process.gapps) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." I try force close and it comes up again and again and again.
I have attempted to clear the cache etc. as suggested in various fixes on the forums, but as it doesnt actually turn on (the error messages and force close loop happens just after the TnT loading) I cant access the g tab in anyway via another computer as it doesnt even recognise that there is something plugged in to it.
Any help would be more than appreciated.

LG Optimus F3 Bricked? (Sort of, seeking help)

Ok the phone is:
http://www.lg.com/us/cell-phones/lg-LS720-Titanium-Silver-optimus-f3
LG Optimus F3
Android 4.1.2
T-Mobile pushed a OS system update on 12/3/13. After 3 weeks of the constant reminder, my girlfriend talked me into attempting to get the update to install last night.
So I moved all of her pictures to an external SD card, and attempted the update. With the phone fully charged & plugged into an outlet it failed several times. After checking available system memory I found that the unit had less than 100 mb. So I did a factory reset, to remove the many, many apps that were installed after purchase.
On initial boot the phone does not enter into a Setup Wizard like most handsets, instead it goes straight to the home screen (no lockscreen) and a warning is displayed. "Unfortunately, Home has stopped." and the only option is "OK". When attempting to navigate to the >System>Settings nothing happens (Black screen) & eventually you will get the "Unfortunately, Home has stopped." to display or occasionally "Unfortunately, SystemUI has stopped." or "Unfortunately, Settings has stopped.".
You are not able to answer a call, text, etc....Attempting to swipe down and choosing Quick Settings Browser, the browser opens and then closes with "Unfortunately, Home has stopped.". The app drawer will not open.
I've completed many, many (north of 20) hard factory resets by:
Powering off
Pressing Power+Volume Down+Home
Following the prompts of pressing "Power" twice to initiate & confirm the Factory Rest
The Green Android Bug is displayed and then back to the above problem of "Unfortunately, Home has stopped."
Forcing the unit into Safe Mode, and you get the same results as above.
My two complaints with this model is that it has very limited system memory & zero ROM support.
Being the phone is not rooted, neither is ADB set on the unit. So pushing another launcher to the phone is not possible that I'm aware of, also no means to enter fastboot.
When the unit was taking by the T-Mobile store stated the phone has been wet due to a pink indicator on the battery. We purchased the unit new and it has never by wet (We do live a couple of blocks from the ocean). So the T-Mobile store refused to service the unit. Also the unit was completely functional until attempting this system update.
Any suggestions? (tossing it in the garbage would be wonderful if I could afford a replacement, which I am not at this time).
Problem has been solved
Apparently LG has a software tool that reset's the phone to factory. WIN

With the One V, you had to flash the boot.img in fastboot. Sometimes I would forget and this would be three result.

You had it lucky. My phone, same one, is stuck at the LG screen. No animation, just a picture. It has been sitting like that for hours. I connected it to my computer, and it doesn't show up. I think it's screwed.

"Unfortunately, Youtube has stopped working" SPAM

I started receiving this today. When I click "OK" the message bounces back up almost immediately, like a spam.
If I wait for 10-15 minutes and then press "OK" button, then I have maybe 5 seconds time window until message appears again.
Same happens when I click "Try to solve".
Earlier today I had a notification something like "Youtube app might harm your phone".
I tried restarting and plugging out battery, didn't help.
I didn't really bother with that since I own Lenovo k3 note with factory settings and I had adware for a long time. So I thought that was just a missinformation.
P.S. I'm not sure what exactly version of Android is currently installed on my phone and now I can't really check either...
Lenovo phone, says it all. Unfortunately Youtube is a system file on Lenovo so when it hangs you cannot access anything else.
Remove the battery and leave alone for roughly 5 minutes, this lets any caps to discharge so the phone has to restart from boot.
try starting the phone again, if this doesn't work, try doing a factory reset.
