What radio are people using with the EC10 Kernel? With all of these flavors now, what's the differences?
I am still on EB01 radio.
I assume the EC10 kernel does not improve or effect quality of 3G signal / GPS signal?

Well you have a choice between EB01 or DL09 depending on how each one performs for you. My choice has been the DL09 for battery, data, and signal reliability.

Hmm. EB01 and DL09 are vzw based and not uscc. Haven't heard a mention of any mez radios running on the SF. EB16 that is mez based but haven't seen a released radio for that runs on the SF.

I've been using dl09 because it *seems* like I get better battery life with it.
Has there been any evidence to back dl09 better bat life?
Are there any trade offs to using dl09? Anyone have a good link I'm on eb01 and wanna try dl09 thanks in advance!

I've always had awesome signal, but since I went to ED01 (used the downgrade to DL09 and then OTA up to ED01,) I've got low signal with frequent '...' lack of service.
Am I alone?
I'll probably be flashing back to EB01 if there isn't any advice.

I am thinking it must be the weather... will know for sure when things clear up and I can do more unscientific testing. Am currently on ED01 radio with EF 3.3.1 and have not noticed anything terrible. But like you I had the GSP epiphany when I went from EB01 radio to EC01 with SC 2.9.2 plus the GPS fix (NTP changed to us)...

EC09 is supposed to be the GB radio, which is what i have on right now...
BUT personally when i first flashed Test build 7, I was on ED01 and did not flash EC09 radio and it worked fine.
I actually felt like i had better reception and everything else was smoother overall.
I thought maybe there was a bad flash or i screwed something up, so i went all the way back to DL09 and worked my way up and i still dont feel like it was as good as when i had it on ED01
So basically YMMV, but i think a lot of people are enjoying EC09
A number of people in other threads have complained of more missed calls with the EC09 modem than the ED04 modem, which could make sense considering ED04 is newer.

But some also like the EC09 better, and they are able to achieve better data rates. That being said... the safest bet is probably just using froyo and ED04.

I'm on CM7 (tb#7) with ED04 modem and it works perfectly. No missed calls and GPS lock is instant.
I'm on EC09, but I think ima go back to ED04, the battery seems to drain quicker on this radio though no missed calls or anything else. Speed is the same but I'm on Metro PCS and not on Verizon.

Current Config in my signature....
Curious about EH09 ROM.
Can this be had and used with MIUI?
Any improvements/gains over previos ROMS; specifically GPS?
Any concerns with this ROM?
Though it is pretty new, what are the majority impressions of the EH09 ROM?

I really like it other than the slow data speeds. Really snappy rom that flies, but only get .4mb down no matter what speed test used. That was pw eh09 w/ ec09 modem. On pw ed05 w/ ec09 modem usually get .8-1.2 down. Not sure if anything can be done but I have others say the same thing.
There are a few issues with EH09 such as occasional screen freezeups and lower in-call volume. Otherwise it's a very good Rom considering it's not made for the Fascinate.

So I am on Superclean 2.9.2 with a voodoo kernel, and radio is EB01
I have not upgraded in at least 6 months+
So far my phone has been pretty stable, only big thing I would love is to find a rom that has much better battery life, but I doubt i will find that, just the way smartphones are.
What are the real advantages of going to some of these new GB roms? I see cm has some issues with Flashcard, and not sure if it will even work with mine since still using stock that came with phone, and data dropping out.

GB tends to be faster. Miui is the only one that I've used that data never drops out. I'd say battery life is similar for me between TW (2.2) and GB.
I'm on miui and glitch and I average at least 14 hours which I'm happy with, I very seldom half to plug it in other than during the night.

it depends what you want...if you are happy with your setup, back it up before trying other stuff

I read in one post EC09 can corrupt SDcard? so best to stay way from that one? and stick to EH09 and EI20?

dh12 was a joke (it was our launch rom last september)
you cannot use eh09 or ei20 modem on the vzw fascinate...ec09 is *usually* the best modem to use on gb (aosp or tw) but some people have better results with eb01 or ec01

Ok I went with MUI and followed the detailed directions so I am on EC09 modem. I think I messed up the terminology when I asked that last question.
About to install the glitch kernel now..i feel like I have a new phone now...totally different..LOL

I think the PowerWashed GB (it is from the mesmerize, and is NOT an SDcard risk) is a great rom. Better battery life, 0 force closes, and the radio is amazingly consistent(data or calls are VERY rarely dropped. The speed of my fascinate also improved.
My only caveat with this rom is 3 fold... There is a charge bug, where it tells you your battery is 100% when it's 95% or 87%. Second, there is no verizon network recognition (the market doesn't have verizon apps, essentially. Everything else network based works perfectly though). Lastly... After being created and made nearly perfect... Development has stalled out on it. The battery charge issue is one of the only things I'd like to see developed, but I'm not sure that will happen.
In short... Try gingerbread, i don't think you'll regret it.

It is my understanding the phantom button issue occurs when signals are low and possibly when it is trying to bounce from tower to tower.
I would like to run an experiment on the different modems to see how it affects the phantom button issue on the ICS Rom.
I am asking everyone to post modems on the board that are missing and are in red.

Not to rain on your parade, bit is it necessary to test the pre-ec09 radios? They don't work properly with gingerbread and up for the most part.
Also. If you are going for completeness, you missed the ea28 build which was the last version eclair OTA build before froyo.

The three radios you obtained are the only ones worth trying imo...they work the best with the latest roms for our device.
