first off: i am in no way affiliated with the developer, or development, of this app. i am simply promoting it to show my support/appreciation for a great app and dev!!
im hoping most of you know about this app by now, but for those who dont, i URGE you to try "Flow for Facebook" (free and paid on market, paid is well worth the $2). OUTSTANDING developer who monitors his XDA thread and Twitter....definitely a user's developer.
This app is revolutionizing facebook for android. Flow has LEGIT push notifications for everything (through GMail). you simply link your facebook notifications on facebook.com to your gmail address, and whenever youre notified the Flow app intercepts the GMail notification and displays it through the app's interface (includes notification popup and quick response...similar to sms popups).
It has almost everything you could want from a facebook app (it doesnt have scrollable widget or chat just yet). The UI is slick and clean.
I cant say enough about this app, but i fully support this developer...check it out for yourselves.

Looks like the UI has a fresh coat of paint since the last time I looked at it. Thanks for the screenshots. Ill definitely check this out.
LOVE the popups. I emailed the developer to see if he'd be interested in designing a Google Voice popup app. Since Google has their own set of API's for Google Voice SMS, no one has been able to make a popup notifier ala Handcent or SMS Popup. He may be able to grab the notifications via Gmail the same way he does for Facebook.
I have used this app before. I dont think its a revolutionary app as the title describes it. However, this is definitely one of the better unofficial facebook apps out there. It has a huge downside to it.... Its way too slow than the official app.
The best thing about this app is that the developer is continuously updating it and making improvements. I uninstalled it a couple days ago for the sole reason of it being slow.
Another good feature of this app is that you can browse ‘pages’ and all groups - primarily the reason I installed it at the first place.
Just my two cents.

when sthe last time you used it?? he has made serious speed improvements of late. there have been about 3 updates in the last week alone. he cached all photo info and cut photo loading time by more than half.
also, just yesterday i was trying to view album photos in the official facebook app, and it took over a minute for the entire album to load.....in flow, the same album took less than 15sec. not exaggerating.
im not saying this app is perfect...by any means....but im not misleading in any way either

I didn't say you were misleading. I merely offered my review of the app. Im sure xda members will benefit from more than one review. I found the app a bit slower than the official one, even after the updates. The last time I used flow was couple days ago. As I mentioned before, I did see improvements and that the dev is very active in terms of updating the app and improving it. I had seen alot of FCs as well on the last day. That might be a phone specific issue. The app, however, is definitely better. I love the fact u can browse pages and groups. Having said that, I reverted back to using the official app until the dev perfects this app.

I paid for this app thinking I was gonna be able to use what appears to be a 4x2 widget, but when I select widgets from menu it places a 1x1 little computer icon on my page! What the heck is that? It looks like a widget in the screenshot, but I guess it's not. The black box that appears to be 4x2 is what I'm speaking of.
I tried the free version and I must say that's it's nicely made. I don't know why someone can say that it's slow, cause it ain't. Pictures load really fast, the popup is cool, etc, and the UI imo is more appealing than the official one.

Now its all gravy
Id say its faster than the 1st party app now.

Didn't get the chance to install 2.1 myself, but view a few few reviews on here and YouTube, not sure i would want 2.1 if it was the same spec released tomorrow.
Why only 24 icons a page now and not 32?
Knowlonger 1 wallpaper per room
Can knowlonger delete unwanted rooms
Never disliked the old keyboard that much and now no arrow keys
With a 2.1 update i was hoping for (as i never had a problem with 1.6)
Open home page in portrate
Positive
Bookmark thumbnails in browser!
Anyone go any major positive/negative to report
Maybe Dell will read this before release and take note if there are enough comments one way or the other!! Then they might not!!
I was also hoping for a portrait homescreen and a more interesting homescreen something like the sence from htc...and maby a portrait program menu when opening it directly from the homescreen!
Maby someone of the rom devs here will be able to create a 2.2 rom with htc sence on it than it would be perfect for me
To be fair, this is a leaked Beta version. I'm sure I hope they have quite a bit more to add
Like FFC support in the camera app (works in fring).

I did a crappy review on my site (in sig, not the food one lol) if you want to check it out.
I like the new keyboard, the old keyboard was a pain with the number pad making everything squished to the left. BUT a left and right arrow key would be nice for sure (since no trackball).
As for all the other bad things you mentioned, easy fix is download ADW Launcher from the Market and then set it as default for when you hit the home button and then go into ADW Settings and change the rows and columns to 6 and you'll have all the space you ever needed on your home screen plus portrait rotation
@jmhalder
Front facing camera would be nice but how about zoom option lol Just want the Android 2.2 camera app from my Nexus... sigh
Now if only someone would make an AOSP Android 2.2 build for the Dell, I'm be in love with this phone....

Not so crappy, one of the best imho. It is great to hear from an informed enthusiast rather than just an opinionated commentator.
Not too sure about the intruding background music. Personally I found it distracting (that's a euphemism for annoying btw) to the extent that I stepped through the review in the rush to switch it off.
But that is just me, no doubt you gets loads of compliments asking for it to be turned up.
I like the scope of your site too and shall check in regularly.
Just to make sure I'm not missing anything. The Dell Facebook widget is NOT in the 2.1 update? Just did it and don't see it in the listing. Only the stock Android Facebook widget... Ohwell... Liked the Dell one... Any APK's floating around..? Also, anyone know if the HTC keyboard works with it..?
HTC keyboard is a no go... Crashes on launch... sigh...
i hope theres more to add to this in the final release!!!

To be honest Id assume that itll be in the final release (remember this is a beta release) because there is also no facebook integration for your contacts built in like there is in 1.6 so Im guessing all the Facebook stuff is missing.
You can download Facebook fkr Android and it has its own widget.
HTC's keyboard would be a nice addition...
There is the option for facebook integration in the accounts section, but once you enter you credentials it disappears.
So I would expect it in thefinal
PS the only negative I have (over 1.6, as I would also prefer portrait-especially because all apps default to portrait and im sick of flipping the phone to keep it in landscape) is that I cannot see all the apps in the market, annoying but I can live with it....just

Ya true.
As for your negative, have you tried ADW Launcher from the market, itll get you that rotation on the homescreen then once your in portrait just go to settings and turn off auto rotate and it should stay portrait.
As for the market issues, Google 'Market Enabler.apk' and install it. It lets you mimic different carriers etc so you can see more of the market. You just have to experiment with the settings till you get one you like.
Hope that helps you for now.
I can't see a number of apps including some that I bought also.

I thought we could list useful apps we've installed, and a quick summary of why. While browsing the Market I see a lot of comments "doesn't work with X", so I figured since we are blazing a new trail with our Notes we can save each other some aggravation and list ones we've found that definitely work.
Missed Message Flasher by TomatoX. Calendar only gives you one notification of an upcoming appointment, this lets you get multiple notifications until you stop it. Works for missed calls, texts, calendar and many others. I found the test notification in the setup does NOT work, but it does work for a real appointment. Haven't tried it with texts, calls yet. Edit 2/21, so far it doesn't appear to work with texts, let me know if you find otherwise. May try other options tonight. Edit 3/5, I'm still not sure I'm getting repeated notifications for anything other than calendar items, still testing.
Opera Mobile by Opera. Can't stand that the built-in browser can't identify as a desktop browser, but Opera Mobile can.
GPS Status & Toolbox by EclipSim. Nice real-time verification of all of your GPS stats, accelerometer, level, compass. Nice bonus, shows battery stats too (temp, %).
HotSpot Toggle by Mehdy Bohlool. One-click activation of the wifi hotspot. A little annoying that it doesn't line up with the other icons on the home screens, but it works.
XiiaLive Lite by Visual Blasters. For streaming ASX/WMA. I have a lifetime Internet account with SiriusXM. The sound quality from XiiaLive is much better than the SiriusXM app - the bit rate from the Sirius app is awful. I'm using this with a free online service called MusicDock. Use their "Windows Mobile" site (mentioned at the bottom of their home page) along with this app and you are golden.
Equalizer by Smart Android Apps. Simple, but works to modify the audio output, including on Blutooth.
Added 2/22
Battery Indicator by Darshan Computing. Same as Battery Percentage but is half the size (1/2 MB vs. 1 MB) and is easier to read IMO. No way to modify the stock indicator w/o rooting, so for now I'm using this instead.
CPU Spy by storm717. Very small. Lets you see how much time your CPU spends in each speed, including how much time it sleeps. If your battery is draining quickly this will let you see if it is ever sleeping.
Added 2/29
Word Feud by Berthussen IT. Scrabble-like game.
Added 3/05
AirDroid by SAND Studio. Way better than Keis Air - ability to transfer files, txt messaging, etc via wifi.
Music Volume EQ by K & K Design. Works well, autostarts, includes features other than just a basic EQ.
AndroSensor by Fiv Asim. Displays outputs and current draw from all of the sensors in the Note, including barometer.
Added 3/13
Screen Filter by haxor industry. Much more effective than using Dimmer (listed below). Allows you to dim just as much as you want, or as little as you want. So you can go really dark at let's say 20%, or if you just think the stock auto-brightness is a little too bright, you can permanently apply a 75% filter to dim it down just a little and still let the auto feature do its job. I'm currently trying that. Only problem is as you get to the really dark settings you get a noticable gray coloration to the whole screen - minor and an acceptable trade-off. You can set up multiple home screen shortcuts for multiple settings. Can work along with Dimmer but it is pointless, I just uninstalled Dimmer.
Added 3/23
Screen On by Konstantinos Polychronis. Keeps the screen on for selected apps, or when charging. For instance, Google Maps where you don't want the screen to turn off (and loose your position). This is a tentative recommendation - at first it was flaky (didn't keep the screen on) for some apps but seems to be better after rebooting. I'll report back after a while. After selecting your applications from the list don't forget to enable the application with the checkbox in the upper left corner.
Calendar Snooze by Bitfire-development. Adds lots of snooze options to calendar notifications, more initial notification options and more reminder notification options. I still use Missed Message Flasher for text and Google Talk, but I turned off reminders for calendar in MMF and use Calendar Snooze instead. Mostly because it allows you to set a pattern for vibrate instead of having just one long vibration. I notice it better when it pulses several times.
Added 4/9
Increasing Ring by sashomasho. Increases the volume of your ringer and/or clock alarm, so you can start off completely silent or nearly silent and increase the volume over time. Gives you a chance to grab your phone and answer or reject a call without it blaring at top volume on the first ring. Note that it increases the volume based on your current ring setting so make sure you turn your ring volume below full volume or it will appear that the app isn't working.
Can recommend but don't use anymore
Dimmer (Night Mode) by geekyouup. One-click ability to dim your display as far as it will go. The stock brightness slider will only take you to "30", this takes you to "10". A noticeable difference especially in a dark room. Screen Filter (listed above) works much better and is more versatile so I removed this app.
Can no longer recommend
Equalizer by Smart Android Apps. Would randomly stop modifying the audio stream even though the app was still listed in the task manager. Also had to re-start after every reboot. Found another equalizer (listed above) which doesn't have either problem. Also I think it sounds better.
SiriusXM Internet Radio by SiriusXM Radio Inc. Doesn't let you force a specific quality, and found an aftermarket solution (listed above) which sounds much better.
Battery Percentage & Temp by Global Developers Adds a battery percentage display as a permanent notification. Battery Indicator (above) is easier to read and the app is half the size of this one.
Please list your own useful apps...
Good list, although this probably belongs in the Galaxy Note Themes and Apps forums.
Some other adds:
Skitch - Evernote add-on that supports sketching. A lot like S Memo, but it has a bit deeper integration with Evernote if you're using that.
iAnnotate Lite - Download from the Samsung App Store to ensure Galaxy Note compatibility. Great tool for marking up PDFs.
Currents - Works great on the Note. The bigger screen really lets you take advantage of the magazine-like layout similar to what you see on a tablet.
I'll add Sketchbook (Mobile) to the list. Pro is still tablet only.
Also, Fruit Ninja and Spirit HD, both of which I've found are great with the S-Pen. The latter locked up and crashed last I played, though; not sure if this will be a recurring issue. EDIT 2/22 - Skip Spirit HD for now. The crashing is consistent, closing the app after two or three levels every time.

Likewise. I use Tweetcaster Pro, a lot better than all of the twitter app out there.
I use Mr. Number for blocking spam / private / blocked numbers. But for some reason the app thinks I'm not in the US, hence why I'm having issues with it at the moment but it's still working regardless.
Streamzoo / MyTubo - for picture editing. Not close to instagram but it does the trick.

Lol.....indeed.
Made a few updates to my list.
For anyone that uses a bluetooth headset and is tired of pocket dials, Proximity Service works well to keep the screen off while in the pocket. It takes a bit to get used to it with regard to how you work with the device, but it is less of of an issue with the Note than it was with my LG Optimus.

Belongs in the apps section.
Also I rather not spend $17 for something that might just kill my battery.

Giving it a try. Pretty damn smooth; there are a few features that aren't up and working yet, but it's very impressive. The lack of instructions is causing a few headaches, however.
It can only get better with time. While it doesn't quite have the HD look that SPB Shell has, it seems smoother, and just more useful. SPB looks good, but it's like it never got past demo stage. High hopes for TSF.
EDIT: If you are trying to make it do the "snake" thing from a folder and are having problems, someone on another thread figured out that you have to have more than 7 apps in it to make it work. It's seriously cool once you figure that out. Makes for a nice favorite contacts app.

How much memory does it use?
sent from my SHOstocked sgs2 via tapatalk.....
This is pretty amazing!!! I'm going to wait a little bit longer then buy it! I have to say, if it isn't to much of a batter drain, then I could see this being a pretty nice launcher.
I actually set my "SetCPU" to 800 max, and everything ran SMOOTHLY!! no problems at all! I don't think this uses much more then 200 Mhz, because after fussing around for almost 15 minutes on it, I have CPU Spy saying 200 Mhz was being used for 9 minutes. So . . .
(It might be using the GPU tho, in which case I don't know how to check that.)
Looks interesting. Anyone run into any type of ROM specific issues yet?

Looking at 5.48MB.
Still liking it; it's got lots of potential. I'm really digging the snake function of the folders. Load the folder up with apps, when you want one, just drag it out and tap it. I'm getting a list of tweaks it needs for the developer, like the snake needs to collapse after you use an app in it, stuff like that. Let's see how things go. I still find myself trying to swipe to move to the next screen, but you can't enable that and keep the core function of grabbing and manipulating multiple apps on a screen. I'm going to use this for a few weeks and see if I have the urge to return to a standard launcher.

No ROM specific issues just yet. The video that shows off the launcher seems to be on a phone with MIUI, I think that they would be well suited for each other.
The favorite contacts folder I made works pretty cool; drag the contacts out, tap on one, and it gives you the quick info popup for it. The demo in the video looks different because it's MIUI.
The snake thing only works if you have at least seven items in your folder, and the folder won't hold more than twelve items, so some people might end up with multiple contact folders, like friends, family, work.

I look forward to your review. I'm tempted to pull the trigger, but I've paid for way too many apps that I thought would be cool and useful that I used once and never again.
I got it, but I'm not pleased with it. It's kind of a pain to get to your apps.
Watched the video, read the reviews - even when it's done, it seems like they missed out on an essential factor - it's supposed to be a launcher. And it looks like they layered too much candy on that basic function for it to be usable as a daily driver.

Not sure why you think it's not a launcher. Instead of launching the app drawer like stock/LP/ADW/ect, the app drawer is the first homepage. The MIUI launcher doesn't have a standard app drawer either. And as far as launching the phone/contacts/messaging/ect, they are located on the left side pop-up bar. Granted, it feels different when you start using it, but I'm driving with it just fine. There are some bugs in it that would keep me from keeping it if they don't get addressed, but they seem to be doing updates pretty often and I'm hopeful it will continue to improve.

This. It just isn't comfortable to use. I'm still using it, hopefully it gets better.

I didn't say it isn't a launcher, I said that it doesn't seem to function well as a launcher. If it's working for you, I'm glad - and I'll continue to watch and see if they live up to the promises made in the demo. It may well be as you say that I'd just have to get used to it - which I've done before, and will again, when I think the learning is worth it. Although I do like a clean home screen (yes, I know I could do it that way, but that defeats their design).
I've been playing with it and I think it's cool. There is a learning curve and it's not perfect but there are some nice features in it. I stopped using it though as soon as I discovered one feature it lacked that was a must have for me. scrollable widgets. They dont seem to work

Ok, good chance to ask - which scrollable widgets are a must have? I like to keep my home screens clean, and watch battery drain (too) obsessively, so the only widgets I use are Simi Clock (covers clock, weather, and launching apps), 3G Watchdog, and music (PlayerPro and Subsonic). What am I missing?

Well I did say for me they are a must have I use Android Pro widgets, I use about 3 of them(at least scrolling ones) all on their own home screens. I have one that loads twitter and FB updates, another that loads my agenda and one for my text messages. Then a full screen music widget(poweramp) on another screen and a full screen weather widget(fancy widget). I'm not too obsessive over my battery because I ALWAYS either have a spare charger or an extra oem battery (or both) with me

Thanks - I can see the use if I were a more connected person, but I'm not that big on Twitter or Facebook, full screen weather seems excessive (I look out the window , and tapping the weather icon on Simi Clock takes me to Weatherbug), don't text much (and get notifications for that), and my calendar is a tap away... I'm really never that far from a charger, but I like not having to plug in from the time I get up till I dock when I go to bed. If I were out more, I might need it, but I tend to do the home-work-home thing most of the time.
I picked this up. I like it, but some functionality is missing. I'm not talking about things they show in the video that you would have to figure out on your own, I'm talking about buttons that are available to use, but if you try to use it, it says the feature isn't enabled yet. That's kind of annoying. No need to have the button there if you don't have the functionality in.
Battery in my opinion definitely is affected. With my current build below, I was getting about 1% loss per hour. With this launcher it's approaching close to 3% per hour. I don't know why as it's not like my wakelocks are increasing.
I've had 24 hours with my new Verizon Note 2 and it's been very frustrating. Coming off the N7000 I figured it would be a breeze to set up, not the case at all. Without getting into exporting and importing, some of the issues I've been having include the following:
K9 will not work with my primary gmail email.
No wifi button in the pull down header.
Screen only 4 icons across.
Text msg icon will not refresh after looking at a text. Have to turn restart the phone for #of messages to disappear.
Google Voice widget only works sporadically. Rarely downloads the audio.
I hope some if not all of these are solvable. But so far I've had not luck...

All those quick buttons on the pull down header and NO wifi.. that's mind boggling to me too. I'm waiting for root and some roms to fix that I guess.
4 Icons across.. I loaded up Nova Launcher. This huge screen has way too much open space stock. With Nova I added another column and row of icons. Looks much better!
I'm having NO issues with the txt message icon refreshing after opening a text. I did notice that my brother's Note 2 (on sprint) has this little bubble that appears on the lock screen above the app message icon.. a small bubble that's pretty clear that has a "1" in it for the new message. I couldn't find that on my phone.
I can't comment on the others.. I only use Gmail and don't use the GV widget.
I've been using Nova Launcher to change my grid and app drawer (decided on 5x6 I think). The same should fix your notification count for unread SMS/emails/calls.
Beautiful Widgets has a toggle widget for a ton of stuff, Wifi included.
I like the native Gmail app. Love the widget.
Not much of a fix for any of your issues, but they're good alternatives until we get rooted/ROMed.
I like Nova Launcher but I don't like losing some s-pen functionality. I'll stay stock till rook comes along. I want to add functionalty, not lose it.
Pic of my home screen. I dont like using folders, but it will do for now.

What S-Pen functionality is lost? I've running Nova, and so far I'm able to use the S-Pen in all of the same ways as I can when I'm using the stock launcher.

That's not so much S-Pen functionality as it is a function of the stock Touch Whiz launcher on the Note 2. It's similar to losing some of the Touch Whiz widgets when using a third-party launcher. So yeah, by using a third-party launcher you do loose some from functionality from the stock launcher, but you retain full S-Pen functionality.
Personally, I turned Page Buddy off as soon as I received the phone because I found it annoying. But I can see how it would be useful for some people.

Does it work with any accounts? If so and not Gmail it's probably configuration. K9's pretty popular so if all N2's couldn't use it to access Gmail I'd imagine more people would be complaining. You can set up GMail via ActiveSync in the stock e-mail client and get push notifications. Using the stock client also gets you native multiview support.

Try removing the Google Voice app and reinstalling it. Don't know what to tell you about the MMS counter.
I know it's a pain in the ass but you may want to hard reset your device and see if any/all of these issues are present without your apps on it. Not all apps play nice with JB.

The WiFi toggle isn't there on the Verizon version of the Note 2. Instead of the toggle, we get the annoying ongoing notification about WiFi seen in the attached screenshot. Verizon did the same thing with the Galaxy S3.
Is there an app that makes your data connection look like a Wifi connection? (jailbroken iDevices had something called 3G Unrestrictor). That might solve the stupid popup.

That won't get rid of the ongoing notification. When you connect to WiFi, it changes to say that you're connected to WiFi. It stays there regardless. The only way to permanently get rid of it is with root.

Just use a home switcher app and switch simultaneously between tw &nova.
I'm gonna try this.
I'm gonna switch my default to tw and delete all screens except 1 of course. But stay on nova. Then when I pull out the s-pen hit home and go straight to the buddy Page.
Either that or create an entire Page in nova with s-pen apps & their corresponding widgets.

Hi,
Skip the next paragraph if TL;DR
I got this phone like a month ago. It came with 4.1.1, but I've flashed it with official 4.1.2 shortly after.
Since then I have flashed it couple of times with never official ROMs, and then finally moved to CM 10.1.
I was really amazed with the presentation of the pure android, not only the launcher, but dialer app, timer, alarms, messages, the browser, gallery - stuff like that. And while I'm still amazed with that, those simple annoyances that come with custom AOSP bug me, making me want to go back to the stock Samsung ROM. You know, faulty camera app, battery life, but what bugs me the most is that it's developed as nightly by regular people (don't get me wrong I bet those people are more talented than Samsung programmers, but they probably won't get fired if they **** something up).
In the end I just want my phone to work. Said that I'm going to get back to the official ROM, probably root it and remove apps I don't need, but to the point.
I searched for it, I really did, and looking how popular this phone is nowadays I'm having troubles believing that I can't find anything.
1. Stock messaging app lags as hell while scrolling. Please, one more person is going to say it's smooth and I go crazy. Open a conversation in stock Google Talk and in Messages and it is a night and day difference. I consider replacing it with Google messaging app, but I really like the stock lock screen notifications.
2. Stock web browser is lightning fast compared to any other browser I tried (including Dolphin or Chrome Beta) and I mean the scrolling and overall user responsiveness. However when you double tap a paragraph, or anything for that matter, it just won't center around it as other browser do. All it does is it zooms in in that direction. This is really annoying.
What do you guys think?
Thanks,
Michal C.

I'm note asking how to fix anything specific, as I believe it is not broken. However maybe people have similar experiences and would like to elaborate.
Well to be honest my in conversation scrolling is flawless, and tap to zoom seems pretty much as I expect, having played with it I would say it zooms quite intelligently, although, as you say, the zooming isn't centred where you tap, but it seems to zoom to say, a paragraph and centres it, in my example, on that para I tapped, and the adjacent one that I would logically next read, so that might account for it

I cannot test it right now as I'm still on CM 10.1, going to flash it back to stock when I get home from work, anyway I remember when I tap to zoom on a paragraph of text it zooms in but in a way that the left side of the paragraph is off the screen, resulting in text being unable to read without scrolling to the left. It worked fine in Chrome and other browser (CM one for example), stock Samsung browser on the other hand, always worked the way I described.
I don't know how to respond to your flawless in conversation scrolling, as I recall it be very different for me from the start. I don't think it's my setup as I was whipping all the data couple of times, flashing never roms, always experiencing the same thing.

Just wondering if you're zoom problem is related to dpi? Are you on 320 or less?
have you ticked "Force GPU Rendering" in Settings => Developer options...
this will make things a bit better though not solving them completely...
try it and see if its managable otherwise, no solution until samsung fixes it..unfortunately..touchwhiz is very heavy on SGS3 though it comes with good asthetic feel...!

You are not alone. If you have 500-600+ conversation, scrolling lags. If it's 1000+, well good luck to you.
I think that's the reason, samsung by default deletes messages and keeps the count 200 +.
Third party SMS apps, get rid of the issue by loading partial smses.
I recommend GO SMS.
Even whatsapp does that. It makes sense.
Why load 100s of messages, when you're most probably gonna scroll the last 5-10 .
I re read those special texts and I had well over 1000 in a conversation. It didn't lag for me.

Young love is so endearing!
Use SuperWipe before flashing any ROM. Many people don't know how to properly wipe. A correct wipe will solve the problems you're talking about.
I love how people defend their phones.
I've had this problem on stock rom , way before I rooted too.
I have 34 threads ranging from 10 messages to around 4000 and i'm fine here. ZERO lag or stutter, i'm using NULL_22.1 it comes with CM10.1 messaging app. As for the aosp side of things, i use Jellybam, and again smooth as hell.

Thanks guys for your input.
Excuse me as I wont address each of you directly, but anyway. It is not an issue with not wiping data as i was flashing 3 file rom beforehand with repartitioning and ****.
I guess we all see things differently, for some of you the thing I perceive a lag or shutter is "perfectly fine" or "flawless".
Good for you - the ignorance is bliss!

Omega ROMS
I rooted my phone and installed jellybean 4.1.2. Since then, I have installed a number of Omega ROMS. I am using V40 right now and am now questioning the reason for frequently updating to the latest version. I find this V40 to be flawless with great battery life. Everything works.
Can anyone tell me why updates come out so often?
