Will soon give a last try to the ROM available on this site.
Currently running G-Harmony-Gingerbread
This one doesnt work for me:
- no video playback. Keep getting the "cant play this video" error
- Gallery FC when browsing picture folder with 100+ photos
- Bluetooth FC shortly after reboot
- when puting USB in mass storage, it makes the Gtab freeze. Need to reboot after that
I liked almost eveything about this ROM, except for the above mentioned.
Came form calkulin's ROM that had similar problems.
Will now try TNT-Lite 4.4 from roebeet.
My last try. If this doesnt work, the Gtab is going back to tigerdirect.ca
I would have prefer to keep it, but this device just cant be used for what it was meant to. (flashing ROM is a means, not a hobby, for me)
What do you use it for? I have been on TNT 3.1.4 since Jan and no big issues. Only problems i had are: gallery not showing any pics (i am using quickpic now from android market) and camera upside down.
I use it for multimedia:
- Video
- Music
- Photos (must have centralized access to picture on sdcard and picasa)
- Skifta app (DLNA controler/player)
and for general internet:
- Web browsing
- Picasa
- Facebook
- messenging
Nothing really exotic.
I am on Harmony gingerbread too... installed last night. Installed just to see and feel gingerbread... I am happy with it.
I too use it my GTab for games, mail browsing, music and youtube... I am GOOD!!!
Thanks "tjohnsonjr"
OMG!! I am unable to configure and check my gmail account using GMail App after upgrading to Harmony gingerbread (i also installed GAPP)? Am i missing something?
Anyhow i configured my Gmail account in "Email" app. But still want to know if i can configure my account in "GMail" app.

Hi, first off, new to Android, just recently figured out how to root and reflash, currently using Liberated FR007.
On the YouTube app, I am signed in with my YouTube account, which has my correct age when I view my profile on my desktop. However, whenever I want to watch certain videos, it says "Sorry, you must be 18 or over to view this video." How do I get around this? I can clearly watch the same video on my desktop, but not on my phone, albeit I am logged on the same account.
first of all(eww..., im a minor) go and look around a bit on your account and see if you have checked 18 plus. if you have, then go on your phone's youtube and play around in settings. I cant tell you if it is there because im a minor...

having the same issue. wondering if u ever found the cause/ resolution ?
Let this be the list of software that needs some loving...
General Issues -- We need the statusbar to stay on screen at all times so that we have access to the menu and back buttons, or make the nook button a toggle for the status bar!!
Not Working:
Skype
Reckless Racing
NFS Shift
New Room
ebuddy
I have some apps that stopped working... (ASTRO, Dolphin HD, YouTube, ADW Launcher) and want to wipe and start over. Is there a way to do a wipe back to factory? Will it erase sideloaded books etc?
Cheers,
Rich
I have tried the following that haven't worked:
Skype (loads but you cant do anything once in the app)
Reckless Racing (Loads to title screen and crashes)
NFS Shift (One version crashes at title scene, other loads but with no textures)
NewRoom (Loads, but the button to add new sites doesn't work)
I think this thread will be better and much shorter than the "Working Apps" thread because MOST apps seem to work fine.
Anyway.
eBuddy doesn't even install for some reason.
Citrix Receiver connects and shows the hosted applications, but does not allow you to access any of them. Multiple versions were tried, including the latest 2.0.
Kayak
TripIt
OpenTable
XDA App
Lets Golf
UnblockMe Free

Not sure why they wouldn't see your SD card. I installed both of those with no problems.
Slingplayer - older version does not work but the current version from the market works fine. The lack of menu keys makes it a bit of a pain but if plays fine.
Roadsync gets in a loop for registration and wont even launch the program (current version from the market)
Touchdown (current version from Market) runs but will not sync with my exchange server 2003.
I can't get ADWLauncher to run. LauncherPro works fine. Also, ASTRO and K9 won't start. Anyone having problems with these apps? I had them running last night, but started experimenting and somehow they got broken. Is there a log file that I can check?
Cheers,
Rich
Sketch Online won't work for me. Is appears to start but then just closes with no error.
Raging Thunder 2 fail to download game data.
Chromemarks
3d pool
Both of these crash

Same here...
I think this is hilarious. Nook Software will not run on the nook.
I can't get Grooveshark to run either... It launches, but as soon as you enter login information it crashes and doesn't open anymore.
My wife gave me a White Galaxy S II international version from Amazon.com for Christmas.
I first noticed this with the stock internet browser.
I am having a little problem with the podcasts section on Engadget.com. As soon as the page is near or finishes loading, the browser crashes and I'm returned to the launcher.
If I am quick enough to long press on the .MP3 link to download the podcast it crashes without the save prompt showing up and the download isn't started.
I downloaded Dolphin Browser HD and I get the same results. This is the browser I used on my Inspire 4G with no problems.
This is viewing the desktop version of Engadget.com, also with either Android or Desktop as the user agent.
I don't have trouble loading pages on other sites.
Does anyone know why this is happening?
Just tried it myself and it worked fine. Are you trying the "save link" option? You could try "download all files" application from market. I've got it installed because I've had a problem in the past.
DoubleTwist
Try downloading the app doubletwist you don't need to sync it to your computer or use air sync all you need to do them is download the item again
Hope this helps
Not to be rude but I'm looking for a solution, not a workaround.
I could just stream it from the website or the Engadget app, but I want to download the podcast from the page as I'm reading Engadget posts without starting up another app to do something I could do easily on a much simpler and lower quality phone. The building at my work tends to kill wifi and cell signals so I need to download the podcasts to listen to them.
I did have cyanogen installed on my Inspire. I wanted to see if I could use this phone without ROMs.
Thanks anyway.
download all files from market , the stock browser doesnt download all file extensions mate , that could be the reason
dolphin browser is quite useless to download files...the best one to download files are the opera mobile. i used that to download basically everything....try it...

Like I said "download all files"
Just install it then use the stock browser to download the pod cast
The stock browser and dolphin can download mp3s from other sites. My Inspire 4G running cyanogen could do it, too.
Apparently there is some code on the Engadget page that my phone doesn't like.
The browser crashes as soon as the page either finishes loading or right before it finishes. It had nothing to do with downloads.
Edit: I installed Opera Mobile as recommended above by kruznix and the page loads properly.
I'm still curious if anyone knows why this is happening.
Get mail at right moment is kinda important to my job:
I'm with this gmail (newest version): it's about a month, and it's not auto check, even when I open the app and refresh my self, it only get new mail at second or third try. I tried uninstall and reinstall, turn off and on syncing, restart, move in system app and back out, internal, link2sd, everything I can think of, it still not working. I check my sync setting and it's always hours since last sync.
My play store have similar problem too: if I install app from pc browser, I will need to open play store app before it start download and install.
Shoud I flash the rom again? Or sync setting get interrupted by something or google server have problem with my region?
The new Gmail has a bug on ics as I read in play store. Try download older version and replace Gmail.apk in system/app set right permission. Btw I use pac rom with justunbean inverted gapps (Gmail 4.2.1 inside) and I have no problem with sync time. Sometimes my phone notify me earlier as my pc.
Sent from my Xperia Ray using xda premium
Are you sure you enabled auto sync in settings?
I will try older version right away, thanks Wenchy, maybe back to the version come with rom first.
Thanks mihahn but I'm not that much uninformed
UPDATE: roll back to the version come with rom kinda fixed it, still much much slower than the app tab of firefox
The Vending.apk auto update itself as soon as I replaced it in adb, I dont mind open store every time installing something from pc that much, so I will let is slide.
UPDATE2: look like it's just temporary fix, It's been over 10 mins since the last new email and the app still not get any notification at all. I got one right away notification 20 mins ago, but that's all it take.

Are you sure, that after replacing the gmail.apk the play store doesn't updated it to newest version?
Which rom do you use? It is ICS or JB? Maybe you should use modded gmail and/or playstore. (the modded one doesn't display in "my installed apps" in play store, so the store don't update it automatic. And i have v3.10.9 play store and this don't updates himself too)
Have you checked emails (maybe you have other email adress too) with simple email set to sync time to 5 min? This works? Or it has sync fault too? If this has a fault too, than it can be your carrier problem.
One more question: do you have lot of apps running/syncing (weather, rrs, email, gmail, facebook, twitter app/widgets)
Lot of gmail apks are here: [App] Patched Gmail
Right now I'm give up on this issue (ICS) and trying other JB rom...
Thanks
Hi everyone,
A few days ago I got the new Facebook UI with the built-in video player+auto-play, It's very laggy (every time it auto-plays videos) and it's impossible to download the videos. I really don't know what facebook developers thought when they decided to make such a terrible update. I want to downgrade to an earlier version that still have the option to choose a video player (and download the video) and more important without the auto-play function.
How can I do it? Which version to look for?
Thanks

Depends on whether or not your phone came preloaded with Facebook. If it did, you would uninstall the update in your Settings / Applications (or Application Manager, depending on the phone) and then make sure it's not enabled to Auto Update it in the Play Store.. If it didn't come preloaded with the phone and you initially installed it from the Play Store, then go to the Settings / App section again and find out what update that is, and Google for the Facebook apk and find the newest one that isn't that one that is giving you issues.
I successfully installed older version with the old UI, but I still can't get it to pop up the video player selection :/
I dunno, I don't do Facebook really, and I have no clue which version you installed, so yea...
Have you seen this?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2102232
This is so annoying, I successfully got the video player to pop up, but after a day it stopped working. The Facebook didn't update, it's like in-app update that can't be blocked.
Use this then download messenger and freeze the messenger app using your favorite program to freeze apps like lucky patcher or android tuner. Now you can download videos and use your inbox without using that stupid messenger app. Press thanks I'd I helped you out
