Software to increase EARPHONE and LOUDERSPEAKER sound - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
With new rooms comming around for our x10i, I ask to someone if knows a way to increase earphone and louderspeaker.
I know that is a problem with this equipment but, with new software coming around, certainly there is a way to change settings for that.
In my work I can't use headphone, so this solution is not good for me.
Can anyone help me, or is a problem that no has solution.
Is there any dev that could make a apk to make this possible?
Does I have to buy a new smartphone?
Regards

Any ROM's based on CyanogenMod should have DSP Manager included. You could use that to increase the volume.
Edit:
You could also try looking for Louder Volume Hack in the android market. It's a paid app and I'm not sure if it'll even work with our phone.

DSP Manager do not really increase volume, just have Equalizer and Bass boost

Also louder volume hack will not make much difference as we do not have a custom kernel. However, DSP Manager does make a little bit of difference with the equalizer set right

[Q] Louder sound? Is it possible?

The search feature was not working otherwise I would of hopefully found this answer. But is there anyway possible to make the headphone out sound louder? I use the g tab for my everyday listening in car and it is much quieter than my old ipod. If anyone knows of any solutions to this please help.
Thanks yall!
You could try using the attached DSP Manager to raise output levels. It works with many builds of Android on phones, but I don't have the tablet handy to test.
Edit: Others on the forum have reported loss of sound after tinkering with DSP Manager and had to reload their ROM. Not much testing has been done so proceed at your own risk.

just tried it and it says "there is a problem parsing the package"
Thanks though. Anyone else?
I just wanted to say that I tried dsp manager a while back, as I had it on my Evo as well with no issues.
Only after tinkering with it for a few minutes and a reboot or two i did in fact lose all sound. I wouldnt mess with it on the tab, unless theres a modified version for us.
Good thing for backups!
thanks for the heads up
anyone else have any ideas?

[Q] Does anyone know a good rom to boost volume or give better sound than stock does?

Hi guys
When i had my iphone i use to listen to alot of music on the go. For example on train trips or bus rides to work. Now that i have my awesome galaxy i have figured that the sound quality even though i do think is better is not as loud as it should be. I am currently on BatistaRom 3.7.7 and im loving it. Sound is awesome but still not as loud and clear as it should be.
Does anyone know if there is any other roms out there that boost the volume even more when you use the music player or any mods? Or do you guys recommend any music players from the market that helps in boosting the volume?
I have tried poweramp but again that does not do it for me..
Any help would be gladly appreciated
I`m on Rev2.6 with AudioBoost, app from market. Very good sound. You can try. Hope this help.
Or try Voodoo Control + (it's paid), heard you don't need a Voodoo-based kernel to use it's goodies.
thanks guys i will give it a go and let you know how it goes..

[Q] Force mono sound

Hi folks,
I was hoping someone could help me out with this. I'm unable to hear in my right ear, so i need to wear one earphone. The problem is, obviously, that i miss half the sound of a lot of songs due them being played in stereo. I was wondering if there's a way to force all the music through the headphones to be played in mono?
I've done a bit of searching Google on this, didn't really find very much, although there was vague mention of being able to edit a system file on a rooted device to achieve this. Anyone know if this is true, or of any other way to get mono sound?
Any help would be appreciated!
Friendly bump! :fingers-crossed:

I appreciate the reply I did come across this app, I was hoping there might of been a way to do it whilst using standard headphones, instead of bluetooth. I guess there's no way this can be done at present

Only with the look? Very easy question!!!
here's the solution
1. do you have a i9300 or i9100?
2. this is not where questions go, hit "report" and ask for it to be moved.
It is a safe function. It is for not damage your ears. If you listen the audio with the original earphones or a similiar earphones, there isn't be a problem, if you use a bigger earphones. You could listen the audio more low because, those bigger earphones needs more power. I don't know if I explain me.
Boeffla sound tweaks .

I have a i9100 rooted. And i use voodoo.louder apk.
For the.i9300 (used for my job) it's cant be rooted and i'm looking for how i can change the setup of the phone.
I know that make a protection. but i want to change it.
I'm going to ask for change this post sections.
Thanks
Try this:

There are some options for rooted users but the app does not need root to work.
Works on speaker, headset and bluetooth. It gives you an option of a simple EQ or a
very easy volume boost and allows you to set how much amplification you want.
I am using it right now in my I9300 with custom rom so it should work for you. It is not
however compatible with most other sound mods such as Acid which you should not have
anyway since you are not rooted.
You could try this. Lets you specify media volume when something is inserted into the jack

Thanks galactus it is ok.
I solved myproblem.

Really liking device but audio output low - Possible options(YP-G70)

Hi, I bought this device to replace a recently deceased Zune HD 64, but I'm finding the audio output really, really poor. It's so quiet.
At the moment I'm running the stock ROM 2.2.2, but I'm looking to improve this as using PowerAmp and it's Replay Gain setting just makes everything sound awful. The best solution I've found is to turn off EQ/Tone/Limit in Poweramp and disable Replay Gain
Is there some way to improve this? Installing a certain ROM for example? Is Direct Volume Control available on other ROMs and does it make any difference at all?
Not sure whether to install another ROM/Root the device as I'm looking for suitable performance & battery life.
Thanks for any replies/help received.

Other than that, disable "Direct Volume Control" in Poweramp. As a result, the maximum volume will stay the same, but the output of the voulme bar will be remarkably more gradual before the maximum is reached. Also, turning the EQ off might help if you want to listen to your music on a "flat" setting, though my advice is to switch to "loud": if distorsion occurs, lower the preamp bar.
I own another Samsung device, but if you browse through the forum I'm sure you can find custom roms containing audio tweaks.

Really? That's odd. When I was just using PowerAmp alone on my 4.0 it made everything sound great (I turned off limit), and yes DVC does make quite the difference. However, my solution is to use http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2191223 Viper4Android. You can easily increase the audio output without losing sound quality. However, you need to update your Android OS to at least version 2.3. If you have the Galaxy Player 4.0. You can root it, install a custom kernel and install Voodoo Sound https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.projectvoodoo.controlapp&hl=en which also can increase the audio output on the player.
