BlackBar WhiteClock, GB icons, NoATT for 4.1.57 - Atrix 4G Themes and Apps

Nevermind found this after all the hard work I did. At least I learned something.
Another version ripped from GB RC1 as well. Made by ZoinksS2k.

you have to change length to 0, not padding though. Check this thread page for more details from the guy who did it originally: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=974112&highlight=black+status&page=11

I want make sure it works so I'm doing a fresh sbf flash, Ill post it when all goes well.

I tried doing this myself last night using framework-res.apk and services.jar from gingerblur, it worked...however I lost Facebook sync...i think that has something to do with services.jar, did that happen to you as well? Haven't tried the services.jar you used...

Maybe those wanting to test safely can use the recently uploaded recovery in order to backup first... Just a thought.

It has to do with framework-res.apk. Changing this file wipes out my facebook and google accounts. I dont know why. I ended up scraping my version and using the gingerblur theme only link in the first post, as it has reboot and recovery options as well.

This effed up my facebook/social networking widgets as well My motoblur account doesn't even show up in accounts anymore. Guess I should've backed up my **** before installing this, haha. Oh well.
When I go to the social networking app in my drawer it says:
"Social Networking" is not available without a social networking account. To create a new account click "Setup" button
After clicking "Setup" is takes me right back to the home screen. That's what I get lol.
Seems the only way to fix this **** is system restore and enter my motoblur account information again.

Never mind, just bypassed Motoblur login.

Yes sir! (10 char)
Having the same issue, don't think it will work in this build (from what I heard on the forums).
You'll have to skip it. I found the method in the dev section I believe.

I think so, could be the server address. since this rom is from HK and TW version, so the blur server is set and lock to those two location.
if someone can find out the server for north america, we should be able to login.
use any build.prop editor
find "ro.build.version.full="
and change the following part into the one you registed on MotoBlur, in my case "4.1.83.MB860.ATT.en.US"
So, I change it into "ro.build.version.full=4.1.83.MB860.ATT.en.US"

He's on the right path, but more needs to be changed in the build.prop to get Blur Setup to run without dying right away.
I created a custom build.prop (attached) that gets you into Blur Setup cleanly, but somewhere in the phone it's still pointing to the wrong Blur servers.
Need to find out where Blur server configurations are stored.
As with everything, use the attached build.prop at your own risk.
Worked fine for me... it also had the wonderful side effect of fixing my Android Market carrier issue.
Shows my phone as being an AT&T device again.
Rjohn, shouldwe just remove the .txt extension and put it in? Or is it fine putting it in like that?
You need to remove the .txt, I'm pretty sure.

Yes, remove the .txt extension. Remember to make a backup of your original FIRST.

That was the issue I was pointing out in my previous post.
Blur setup doesn't crap out anymore with the build.prop settings, BUT it still doesn't go to the right set of servers.
Still trying to figure out WHERE those settings are so they can be changed to point to the U.S. Blur servers.
maybe we can contact a moto dev about that? idk. if it wasnt for this issue this ROM would be "close" to perfect (imo) idc about fingerprint reader lol

Well, it sounded simple. I thought I'd just need to change some text in the updater-script file before I amassed it all in the kitchen, but its not that simple apparently. Item 151 on today's glitch list
Edit: if I package the rom w the updater, then extract the updater n add at the beginning ui_print("jibberish");
repackage n sign, would that work?
Yes, but you can also do it before hand. When it is building, and it gets to the point of converting the "update" script to a "updater" script, you can go into your working folder and edit it.
But also, after the build is done, you can keep the file compressed and edit the script also
Either way.

Nice. Now the question is, grab a beer n burger on lunch, or work on this?
I think im going to put it out without themeing any apps, just framework n the system. Its going to be a slimmer version of your hybrid. Doesn't seem as fast though but that might be bc I switched to adw ex from lpp, and I have every widget n animation going I can fit. I also might swap the music.apk with honeycombs, it goes w gallery3d well.

thats odd because I see those icons. Maybe retry the update zip? Not sure if that will work, though.

Not a full/wipe. I pulled down the update only file and loaded it. Trying the update again. I hate to have to do a full/wipe. PIA to get all the settings back in place.
You can try the full install zip without the wipe. I've done that with the previous updates (within the same ROM) with no issues, but haven't tried with this update.

Put the mms.apk from the cm7 rom in your system/apps folder
reboot the phone and you will be good to go.
That's what a lot of people have done with excellent results.
I have tried just putting it back, and i have tried that one as well and it just force closes. any more ideas??

Email apk *to replace the system APK *Stock gingerbread

I got the email apk from gingerbread up and running on the nook tablet *will update with screenshot. I figured I would try and it worked so no more *****ing about the stock email app being crap. You can now fix it.
How to install:
Download here
Push to SDcard
Move to system/app using root explorer *or free alternative.
change permissions to:
Code:
Read, Write
Read
Read
^ Just like that.
then reboot
and
Enjoy
Don't forget: Backup your stock email apk, just in case.
Does this replace the B&N app when using their launcher too? I'm getting very upset with it constantly re-downloading all of my email...
You need to reboot for it to take effect btw
Sent by breaking the sound barrier

Issues here as well. The app isn't showing up in the list. Reverting for now
I already said you need to reboot for it to show.

It worked just fine on my tablet and another persons tablet. Check completely through your app drawer for it it should be called "Email"
Got it up and going fairly effortlessly...
the mistake I was making?
I am using Go Launcher Ex...after reboot I looked at E and M for Email or Mail...well, it wasn't there (even though I was sorting alphabetically)
It turns out, it WAS there in my app drawer...it just went to the very last page of my app drawer and was listed after Widget Locker...obviously NOT in alphabetical order, haha
Maybe you guys were also having this problem?
Yep that was my issue as well. PEBKAC. Sorry for the mixup. Thanks for the app!

Yeah, exactly the same thing happened with me. Go Launcher doesn't always seem to auto-sort correctly.
Not sure if that's an error or feature of Go Launcher but it doesn't seem to happen all the time. Recently downloaded apps are placed at the end of the app draw. I like it cause I down load so many apps, I forget what I've downloaded.
Lately however, I've noticed that new apps appear in order with a little orange label in the upper right corner of the icon - I think it says new.
Awesome! Thanks, Indirect. This worked perfectly for me.
On a side note, this also fixed an issue with contacts. I was stuck with the abysmal stock contact list manager, because nothing else I installed would allow creation or editing of contacts. With the stock email app is in place, I can now use GO Contacts to create and edit contacts.
BTW: email addys open a new email, street addresses open in Google Maps, and phone numbers open chat in textPlus if you have these installed.
the download link is no longer work. Can you send me a new URL?
Thanks
Please ignore my last post. I found it at your other thread.
Thanks

I was entertaining the possibility I could wind up flashing a build.prop mod or backup with those values we're editing left in as default carelessly.
Fallback precaution, ya know? Breaks links in text messages and gtalk, couple other quirks if apk is gone and those build.prop values are still at default.
Would probably realize the change in behavior again and know what happened, but things won't "break as bad" at first, at least.
