Is there any way to go back to stock for this phone? I used to have a G1 and it wasnt a hard task to take on. I want to try going back to stock because I want to run some test on the original build and I also want to make some video guides for the LG Optimus V.
Videos planned if I can get back to factory stock.
Rooting a Vanilla Optimus V
Loading a Recovery and Rom
Back to Vanilla
Yep, i am also interested.
Think its not hard -just restore orig recovery img and do kdz flash.

I have enjoyed the G-Tab but the boss got me a Xoom 3g and the G-Tab has been sitting unused so I decided to get rid of it.
I had CYANOGEN on it and worked great.
I have search the threads for a good link to the STOCK G-TAB but all I come up with are the modification..which are great but of no use if I want to resell the tablet.
Does anyone have a good link to the STOCK for this so I can try and get this thing into a resellable condition?
Thanks,
flash the current stock update
Did you have a look at the wiki

I actually have the same question. Can this be done using ROM manager/Clockwork? Did'nt they make some changes to the boot code recently?

I just did it last night and it brought my gtab back to the original state. It even removed CWM. It leave your internal SD card untouched.
Hello Everyone
I Have A An LG P509 And I Was Wondering If There Was A Rom With Swype Availible For This Phone Thats A Gingerbread Rom.
Also I Was Wondering If I Want To Unroot Later Will The Recovery Rom Have To Be The Same Firmware? For Ex (The Recovery Has To Be 2.3 If I Rooted It To That) And How Is It Possible For The Phone To Be Back To Its Original State When Unrooted?
I KNow I Asked 3 Questions (So Sorry For That) But These Things Been Rolling Around My Head For A While. If You Do Help I Thank You Greatly
1.no, u can get swype for free. Google for swype beta.
2.yes
3.yes unless u installed custom recovery.
Unrooting is not the same as flashing an original recovery firmware. I have not done this so this is just my imagination.
There are some posts for the original P509 recovery if you wanted to flash the LG firmware to return the phone to the original. You can also save the original recovery firmware before flashing a custom recovery. That uses the "dd" command to make an img file. I should have done that first. Look in the posts to find that exact command.
Unrooting is mostly just removing the Superuser app and "su" command and doesn't require reflashing, I imagine.
I don't know about the Swype for gingerbread.
Thanks For For The Help Guys But If It Has To Be The Same 2.3 (Gingerbread) Rom How Can I Return The Phone Back To The Original State When The Original State Is 2.2 (Froyo) Is There a rom i dont know about?

You will make a NAND backup before installing the new ROM. If you want to go back -> Restore backup.
Or you cand use KDZ update; it will install a fresh new factory ROM, your phone will be just like when you unboxed it.

Q. How to get back to stock? I need to give my phone to warranty services how do I revert to official LG rom?
A. Check this thread. It is the v10b 2.2 stock rom as a flashable zip package. If you can't access the recovery, then see if the firmware for your country is available here or use this tool. Download the firmware and use the KDZ tool to flash. You will find instructions to use the KDZ tool on this thread. For a picture guide, check this thread.
Also for official GB lovers, see this. It is a v20g rom in flashable zip package. Or if you'd rather flash v20c/g roms from LGMDP, the links for that can be found in this thread.
If you are on the Optimus T, see this post. Uses the KDZ method.
If you are on the Optimus V, see here.

or

Many thanks to all of you guys. Another thing, is there any danger in reverting back from cm7 to stock rom? What I want to know is what will actually happen to my phone? will my Sd card be deleted?how about the applications? I have saved cm7 backup using nandbackup..would it still be available once I decided to return to cm7?
Sd card wont be deleted. You can copy your CM7 nand backup to your computer if you want. The nand backup rests on your sd card. Since your sdcard will be untouched, it will still be present after you revert to froyo.
Sorry for being such a nuisance and I know that I've been bugging you guys for a while..But Just one last question though. Currently Im using CM7, but when I try to flash franco's Kernel or Goldenleaf by fserve, I am encountering a very annoying problem.
1. When I lock my phone and try to unlock it by pressing the home or option button to bring out the unlocking screen,my phone seems to hang and stay in black screen where I have to wait approximately 5mins to get rid of the black screen and to gain access to the unlocking screen.
This is really annoying
black screen bug is a non problem and it has been fixed in the new version of goldenleaf and GBS
Thanks a lot..the goldenleaf i initially installed was the 111126 version.changed it to 111205 and i think everything is okay now
Hello all,
Finally rooted and flashed cm7 nightlys. All was working good until I found out the bluetooth doesn't work. Now I want to go back to stock and cwm will not restore my back up? Where can I download the 2.3.4 zip to reflash my stock rom? Can somebody help me PLEASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSEEE!!!!!!!!!!
Back to stock now. It seems I can't go back to stock unless i recopy my backup to clockworkmod prior to the restore. Each time i do i get restore complete and get back to stock. This is for my Lg e739. I hope this helps all LG mytouch owners. I am not a developer btw, just review my username.

So I've been running MIUI on my HTC EVO 4G for a while and have been jumping from ROM to ROM, I went to download CyanogenMod 7.2 RC1 and, although the ROM was working and I flashed the Android Market also, it wouldn't allow me to download any apps . I tried doing this on multiple ROMs and nothing would let me download any apps at all, so I wanted to try going back to stock and unrooting, I tried flashing a PC36IMG.zip file on my phone and it wouldn't work, for some reason I can still download apps on MIUI though. Could someone please either help me figure out what I did to my phone or find a way to unroot and go back to stock?
