[help]Lost 4G after root? - Thunderbolt Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

after 2days try and research.
I finally rooted my TBolt.
and after that, I found I seems like lost my 4G signal.
it is always 3G, the the Mobile network type is CMDA-eHRPD.
and the 3G signal is very week, very easy to lost.
I don't know if anybody have same issue like me?
Thanks

Have you rebooted your phone to try to update your prl? I would try resetting the phone a couple times and see if that helps.

did you mean this..

No just powering down the phone and restarting it. Maybe pulling the battery for a full power cycle.

Similar issue here
My 4G still works at the office as we have a site behind the building. At home I am on the fringe for LTE so 3G EVDO is what I usually use. Before rooting my TB toggled back and fourth between 3 and 4G at home, but now toggles between 4G and no G, most of the time no G rendering it useless. Anybody seen and fixed this ??

[Q] Wifi and the recent ICS leak

I just installed the recent ICS leak and all's well so far, save for one little thing. i have an airport extreme at home, and while it appears to connect to my wifi, it's not listed on my AE's connected devices. furthermore, i still have the 4G LTE icon as well as the wifi icon. So, it seems that it's still using 4G. I've tried the wifi other places and all seems well.
Also, when i FORCE it into wifi (put in airplane mode, turn on wifi) it works fine.
Any ideas?
rats... was going to post a screen cap. i guess i have about 5 more posts to go before i can.
maybe now?

interesting... another AE at work, set up pretty much just the same, but i can see in the airport utility that it IS connected, but same result here... 4G LTE icon next to wifi.

WiFi speed issues... Already googled

So I originally had issues with LTE speed and WiFi when I first got the phone and ended up getting a HTC One M8 and kept both (I do development for my company so why not have more test devices I guess). I just picked up the gs5 again and updated the firmware and while LTE seems as good as it gets for my area, WiFi is still horrible.
I have the 300gigabit/second fiber from AT&T and a 802.11ac router with WPA2 security and my other devices get between 150gigabits/second and 250/second. My M8 just did a test and it was about 160 whereas this does between 40-60.
I know it has to be something with my individual device because I've seen speed tests on the forum that are what I should get.
Any ideas for what could be the issue? Using the stock deodex room rooted/unlocked.

Anyone else experiencing this?
Is anyone else experiencing this?
Yes, on my same trouble . I installed the WiFi version of the firmware on the LTE tablet . Previously, doing so even in the 6.0.1 not observed this .
I flashed the factory image and experienced the same issue.
I see this, too. I have half the battery life as before the update (1+ days instead of 3+ days).
I'm experiencing the same. Very frustrating as I used to get a week of battery but now I get less than a day.
I used the SD Maid app to freeze the Cellular Data app. I haven't had any issues.

Wifi turns off when I leave house/office

I've had my V30 for a couple of weeks now and I have noticed something strange happening. When I get to work and get home from work, it seems that wifi has shut itself off and has to be turned back on before I connect to the networks at both locations.
I've gone into battery settings and power saver is off. In the wifi settings, the option to turn off wifi when the screen is off is disabled. I can't figure out why it's doing it. I'm running the AT&T version of the LG V30 with build number N2G47H. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
Look under Settings/device/smart settings.
I actually have that turned on, on purpose. I don't want my phone trying to connect to Wi-Fi networks without my permission, especially my corporate Wi-Fi.
