Market web installs from "market android com" never start. ('m not allowed to post links)
Under "My Devices" in the settings page it shows my Atrix, It has a "Registered on" date (today) but it doesn't have a "Last Used" date (it shows a dash).
I have followed all the suggestions on the help page. (log in, log out)
My Market App version is 2.3.2.
Google Talk works. The Market App works. Clearing Data and Cache for the Market doesn't help any.
I'm signed in with a regular Google account. (not an apps account)
Any suggestions?
This might sound obvious, but have you tried restarting it or resetting it?
Yep. Lots of restarts.
Does the market work on anyone else's Atrix or is it just me?
I read somewhere that if you open Google Talk and sign out then sign back in, it should get the market web installs working because of a communication problem.

Yeah, that's on the help page. Didn't work.
Empty market cache, and uninstall market upgrades (if any). Had the same problem before with other phones, I do not think this is atrix specific.
Getting the market to upgrade afterwards required some manual steps as well. Too lazy to look that up now though, just google it.

I emptied the cache and uninstalled updates. On the first launch I got the old market, on the second launch it had upgraded back to the new one. I also tried a reboot. Still doesn't work. Good idea though, thanks.
Bump! Any fixes for this? I'm having the same issues. The Market web store even lists my phone being last used on Feb 25 (the last day it was pushing app downloads from my computer). However, when I download apps from my phone, it shows up on my account online.

I thought I was having this same problem, but I was in battery saver mode and had auto-sync disabled. After re-enabling it, the downloads just began automatically.
I had the same issues at first and tried all th above fixes and the ones on the google help page. nothing worked at first. i waited a few hours and tried downloading again and everything worked fine. i can't really explain how but it just started working.
I have had this problem for 5 days =/ Now I just chrome to phone the link and open it with market =/ I have done all the above, contacted Google and posted at Motorola Site. Nothing works.
Darn I am having the same issue. Just got my Atrix an hour or two ago...so we will see what happens. I'll try and keep you updated.
Edit: Mine just started working, so I don't know what the problem with yours is. Hope you get it worked out.
I have same problem here with my Hd2 DFT android Rom maket works fine but it never start downloading any apps :/ please some help ??!!
Do you have apps/the market to update only on wifi? And you haven't opened the apps to have them generate an, "I'm here", marker for the market to send you stuff, when you were hooked up to wifi?
I wondered the same thing...
Good news guys Google talk was not working for me so I re flashed my phone and reconfigure it now Google talk work and market too I don't know if it will works for you but for me it working great now hope it help a bit
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
Port 5228
This may not help everyone, but I ran into this same problem.
Each day, my downloads weren't sent to my phone and my gmail wasn't pushing consistently, but by the time I got home, everything seemed to be working again. I noticed that I was also unable to log into google talk on my office's wifi (which seems to be the key to getting everything else to work). A coworker with a samsung android phone was having the same problem.
We worked with our network administrator to unblock certain ports on the wifi firewall. We finally resolved this issue by opening port 5228. Now everything is pushing correctly. See if this port is blocked on your wifi.
The weird thing that kept throwing me off is that even if I switched off wifi and used ATT, it was still having problems for a period of time.
I have read nearly all the "Market Fix" threads and can't find an answer to this. And I have tried searching as well, but pulled no results from the gTablet forums, so my apologizes if this seems like a double post of something already discussed.
When I access the Android Market via my pc, it says that I do not have any devices and can not install from there. I can merely browse. Now when I first flashed Vegan 5.1.1, I saw my device but now it's gone. I have not changed my account since I started and signing out and back in has not resolved this.
Also is it normal to have to apply the "fix" on a regular basis? Even before my device disappeared from my web settings, I have noticed a few times that my Market web searches often show results my Market app does not.
Thanks.
Does your tablet still have access to the Market?
While it's not typically needed to do the fix "again", I have read and experienced it myself where the Market seems to have reset itself back to its pre-fixed state.
This happened to me when the Market updated itself from 2.x to 2.x1 or whatever version it pushed down. I had to do the Market Fix again after that....this time quite a few times to make it work.
The Market on your device is designed to show you what apps are available for your device (ie hardware features and OS version) while the view you see from the Web is everything, regardless of hardware/OS version.
Do your Market Fix until you have a significantly "full" market and download something from the Market on your device. Check back on the web and see if you see it.
I've switched ROMs and such and still see my device (though it's name/info has changed on the website).
Thaks for your reply.
The market is accessible from my gTab, the device just does not show up via the web Market (either from pc or DolphinHD).
My big concern is that I will be upgrading my phone to a HTC Inspire this week and I want to make sure the apps I have purchased will be available when I add the new phone. If I don't have a device in the web store, will it effect my ability to get to all my apps?
As long as you use the same gmail account on your phone you should be able to get all the apps you purchased.
Not sure why your tablet does not show on the web market. We have 2 phones and the gtab on the same account, and they all show up on the web.
Maybe you find a solution in google help https://market.android.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=1141080 or the tab magically shows up once you have your phone.
I have a rooted Nook tablet which I just created last night by following the 40 minute Albert video on Youtube (his most recent upload)
So I have OTA blocked with a rooted Nooktablet running the ADW launcher (Since that's what Albert chose in that video)
The problem is when I try to purchase an app in the market I get the error "An error occurred while creating your order."
I visited other forum posts that were listed under other devices so I reconfirmed my credit card in my goggle and I was sure to reboot my device.
I also tried going to the droid market website to see if I could purchase it there then just download it over to my Tablet but over there it tells me "There are no Android devices associated with this account.", however all the free apps I've downloaded do show up there so I know I'm on the right account and everything.
I'm not sure what else to do and I couldn't find any specific postings under the nook tablet section outlining a similar problem.
Any ideas?
I have been able to purchase without an issue. Is this your only android device?
I've never owned an android device before, my friend who rooted the same doesn't seem to have any problems so I can't figure out what's wrong. I think the only difference is he went with honeycomb, but that shouldn't make a difference, especially since I can already download free stuff just fine.
Edit:
I think the problem I'm having here is google isn't recognizing my Nook tablet as an android device. I think if I can figure out how to get it to show up as a device on the droid market I should be able to purchase apps just fine.
launchers have no effect. I might try recreating an android account with another email and credit card and see if that fixes it.
Ahh I got it by trying to do a completely unrelated thing!
So what I did was I wanted to somehow make it so i could enter a new email so through a search I found to use Super Manager and to go to the Root directory and go to data/system and delete accounts.db
I did that and when i reentered the market place (After rebooting my device) I decided to enter my original email just for the heck of it, and after reentering everything it happens to work perfectly now and shows up on the droid market website.
Issue Resolved, I hope me sharing what I did helps anyone else who might experience a similar problem in the future.
Ive tried searching around but my Google-Fu is lacking at the moment is seems. Im running the CM9alpha and everything is working fine, other then the list of bugs that are with the rom. One day my phone got disconnected from the Sprint network and so I had to flash back to stock. I reactivate with the network so I flash back to CM9. Everything is working fine, but I notice now when i go to the Play web site and try and install an app it doesn't install on my phone. I go and look at My Android Apps and it shows the app that are installed on my stock Sprint rom. Ive tried clearing the cache on my phone, rebooting my phone, and even uninstalling the Play Store updates. Nothing seems to work. Didnt know if anyone has had any similar issues and luck solving them.
EDIT: Just to clarify I have multiple accounts on my phone and chrome, but my main account is logged in on both Chrome and my phone. I recently bought Osmos HD on the web store and it doesnt show up that its even been bough on my phone.
So I rooted my nook tablet 16g a week or so ago, and just the other day it updated (from what I understood I had it set up to not do so, but it did anyways) and since the update a few things have stopped working. Two main problems is 1) Can't use google apps (they say I need to connect an account, but when I press the button to do so the app just closes) and 2) Some apps and games have stopped working, my main problem is with FFIII. It tries to do a connection thing to verify the license(I'm assuming) and then crashes, though it worked fine before it updated. The tablet is still rooted, and these all seem to be minor problems but I can't seem to find a way to fix it (been searching the forums and the web for a few days now, I have seen posts about the google app but there's really no point to fixing that until I get apps to work properly).
I am not attempting to re-root, I know I can do that, but I absolutely do not want to lose all my apps and data, if I have to restart my game files I will be unhappy and would prefer a way to get things working without reseting everything. Thanks in advance.
