I have a rooted Thunderbolt and recently downloaded the Widget Locker application. I enabled the screen animation for home screen on this application, “Widget Locker” and about every 10 minutes I would receive an error, “the process com.htc.bgp has stopped unexpectedly.” I also didn’t know at first it was this program that was doing this or that the Widget Locker program was enabling the animation, even though I requested no animation through the main settings menu.
I strongly think it's a combination of this program along with Bloat Freezer. I froze all the weather applications and I think since Widget Locker has a weather based option, it might have been trying to enable this even though these applications were frozen:
WeatherAgentService.apk
WeatherAgentService.odex
WeatherProvider.apk
WeatherProvider.odex
I am not a programmer. I am a no0b but this is what I’ve gathered so far. I know others are having a similar issue and are not sure what the problem is. I have since noticed this error has gone away after unfreezing the weather applications and disabling the animation on Widget Locker. It's been an hour now and I haven't had this error pop up once.
Before I disabled the animation on Widget Locker, I unfroze all weather applications but continued to receive these errors. I also tried syncing Facebook through contacts because there was a post on that and no luck there.

I love the gmail widget however.... occasionally the widget stops displaying my emails. All I get is an option to view more conversations. At times locking the device and going back in re populates the widget. Other times I actually have to remove and re-add the widget. Is anyone else experiencing this and is there a permanent fix?
Yes, I got the same problem too. When I wait then it reverses alone and shows me mails. Just be patient.
i have same problem but with one clock widget. When i lock desktop after some time widget stop to work properly.
Hello. I've installed ICS 4.0.3 (I9100XXLPS), and then rooted it. Everything works fine except for two things: Chainfire3D and lock screen AccuWeather.
In Chainfire3D I can't use per-app settings, because, for some reason, they won't work. I've tried reinstalling it, still no luck.
As for AccuWeather lock screen display, it shows 0.0°C most of the time, unless I go to Dispay Settings, and disable, then re-enable Weather. This fixes it for some time, after which it goes back to 0.0°C. The problem is only with the lock screen one, desktop widget shows normal temperature all the time.
Are these known issues? Any help on how to fix this would be appreciated. Thanks!
I have this problem too. The only solution is to disable weather from lock screen. There is no fix for this issue at the moment.
I've managed to make it work on my Galaxy S II (don't know for now long it will work ):
- I had the accuweather widget and accuweather lock screen enabled.
- Go to Applications on Settings, All applications
- Clear data and Force stop the app called "Accuweather Weather Daemon"
- Clear data and Force stop the app called "Accuweather.com"
- Turn on locating services
- Remove and add again accuweather widget on the home screen. It will automatically use the location service and show the right information.
After that the accuweather widget on the lock screen shows the right temperature as well
Hi.
When I reboot my device (android 4.3) and I unlock it immediately I see all my widgets load. After approx 20 seconds, when the device registers to the network, all my widgets automatically refreshes. This causes some concerns for me, as my zooper widgets which loads just fine at first, don't get loaded after this refresh. They disappear.
Why is it the widgets gets refreshed upon registration to the network, and is there some way to control this?
Thanks,
pemell
This little problem is very annoying, I have a reddit and a twitter widget that will not refresh or update unless I manually open the respective applications, I also have a clock widget that has a random alarm notification for Friday 0:00, I have no alarms set that I can find.
I am using nova launcher prime, any help?
Thanks in advance
EDIT: Going into settings -> additional settings -> Battery -> Manage apps battery usage: then turning off the power saving mode seems to have fixed it.
EDIT2: Clock widget still showing seemingly random alarms. now it says there is an alarm for Friday 7:41pm
try the "files" app, theres a clean up at the bottom. after that is done there are a few new options like virus scan and also auto start. i'm on global beta and there is everything turned off by default. i did not even receive whatsapps properly until i turned it on there. a little hard to find for such an important option imo but the battery endurance was nice while you are nearly in plane mode D
Launch the widget app. Look at it in background mode. Swipe down. Unlock. I have seen others use this technique but lock it, mine was already locked so I unlocked and it started updating.
I recently bought an LG V30+ and in order to make it feel more Pixel-like I replaced the LG stock launcher with modified Pixel launcher (https://forum.xda-developers.com/and...oogle-t3688393) and started using the live wallpapers that Pixel 2 has.
Everything worked out just fine before I decided to try out Microsoft's Next Lock Screen which changed the wallpaper on both homescreen and lockscreen. Of course this was easily fixed by changing the wallpaper back to the live one. Eventually I decided that the Next Lock Screen wasn't for me so I disabled it and removed it.
However, even after disabling and removing the Next Lock Screen application my wallpaper keeps reverting back to the default wallpaper that Next Lock Screen uses (the wallpaper that changes daily) after a few hours or everytime I restart my phone and I have to manually change the wallpaper back to what I want on both the lockscreen and homescreen. This is pretty annoying so any help would be greatly appreciated. Factory reset would obviously get rid of this problem, but since I've spent a good while already customizing apps I wouldn't like to do that just yet. I even reinstalled Next Lock Screen, then disabled it and removed every single permission it has, removed its cache entirely, and then removed the whole application. This still happens after doing so and it baffles my mind.
I found this old thread about this issue: https://nextlockscreen.uservoice.co...gestions/9153130-wallpaper-changes-on-its-own I'm just wondering how this behaviour still continues even after removing the whole app.
