Hey,
dbrafael and me have managed to succesfully port Jumba's NeonGT hope you guys will like it.
The theme is based on Jumba's NeonGT (here's the link to the theme:

The Theme:

How to enable the theme:
1.) Download the files.
2.a)Use adb (copy the files to the root of your sd card):
adb shell
su
mount -o rw,remount /dev/block/stl6 /system
cp /sdcard/framework-res.apk /system/framework/framework-res.apk
cp /sdcard/twframework-res.apk /system/framework/twframework-res.apk
reboot
exit
b)use root explorer:
explore the files on your sd card and copy them to /system/framework
3.) reboot your phone
4.) Done! Congrats you have Jumba's NeonGT on your galaxy 3
pls leave comment!
PS: This should work on every JPM firmware. If you have another firmware, try it out, and if it won't work, send me which firmware you have and I will do for it too.

Arun Verma from the KARMA Dev Team is allreay porting the NeonGT Theme. IMHO it's one of the most beautiful themes i've ever seen, so i'm looking forward to their release. Maybe you could start porting another theme - G3 needs more themes anyway...

It's sick how hard it is porting a theme I have finished half too.
compare ur powers and do it together, maybe will be better than stock theme
I'm mostly done now. But I have the problem, that phone shortly shows the theme, and then I get back to the samsung boot screen. And so it goes on for a while what shall I do now?
I have ported the theme sucefully, now i'm working on some images who are big
I like how clean that theme is - looks very professional!
Any news from the port? Can we expect a soon release?! I'm curious which of you guys ported it better!

Edit: It doesn't work^^ I see the theme, but then I can'T enter the pin and phone comes back to samsung startup screen. Could it be because I've forgotten to patch some of the .9 files?
I've done it with the help of The Dark Lestat it works now, but the only thing, that doesn't work is the status bar, and I don't know why

Not sure where the rest of the images came from, but the icons are ibox by hockey... who does some pretty amazing theme work.

I tried it and it did not work on my Vibrant.
It rebooted it and I got a black screen only.
I'm glad that I back up my rom and restored everything back to normal.

Looks great man. Is there anyway you can put those files into zip format so we could download this straight to the phone and open it that way. I ask because I have limited access to a computer. Great work none the less!
the vibrant's Framework is set up way different than the i9000 or the captivate... If you would like I could port this over for you, seeing as I have a vibrant to test it on...

Finally, i did not have to modify framework-res.apk.
Because reboot icon is look like sync icon
It uses ic_popup_sync_1.png in framework-res.apk/res/drawable-mdpi.
Tested 2.1.1.A.0.6, it works well.

How to:
1. make backup
2. download your version from attachments.
3. unzip package
4. start INSTALL.bat
5. it will say "Go to xRecovery menu, and connect your phone, then press ENTER.", so go to xrecovery menu, and connect your phone, then press enter.
if your phone doesn't start as well as before, please write me your firmware version.

yes, but i made it with another method.... it restarts well the phone, without bug and etc, and its avalible in all languages. i made it with googleing. i found a thread witch described the guide of five method. and firstly i learned to "use" smali and baksmali, and my services.jar developing was succesful(change clock color). in this mod i use SE codes. I DIDN'T MODIFY FRAMEWORK-RES.APK

Yes, i hope it will be aosp because aosp was the least laggy rom i've tried (together with legend's sense froyo)...

BTW off the topic I hope you know there is an easy way to change clock color too but again its with little editing of framework thingy hehe
edit - btw just realised you'll need to change framework cuz only framework is the source for ImageS I guess so and if you don't edit framework how would you get the reboot symbol.. ?? can you give me the link from where you learnt this method? please
yes you are right, i had to change an image, which was in framework res. its ic_jog_dial_unlock.png. it is not used in semc framework. but i had not modify resources, because i used this png's id and factorytest_reboot's id in jars. i downloaded your work, and it's really different from mine. i would not like to explain oneself to you

There you go! this is stock framework with 9ls and ICS animation... I made it for my self few weeks ago.. anyways this is not a CWM zip!! u gonna have to install manually just put frameworks files into framework folder /system/framework/ and setting.apk in /system/app/
I'd suggest that you make backup first... So that if anything goes wrong u wont have to reflash or anything...

For now I haven't ideas for what band/images I will add in future so:
Tell me what you want to see
Just install like normal app (after reboot the stock DefaultThemes will be restored so this is temporary method - to see what is the effect) or copy to system/app.
After copying you need to reboot your phone and then choose theme.
If someone will successful use it on Gingerbread please let me know if it work.

This is the apk with first theme, without icons. I thing there will be problem with adding icons to DefaultThemes... To change icons we need modify framework or app that want to have non-stock icons.
I think that 'Glam' has very nice appirience.

I don't know why it is blank. In my phone you have seen what it's looks like.
Take a look at post #10... There is an app with moded 2 themes. Try to install (not copy) and tell me is there still missing dialpad background.
What is your phone? What system compilation do you use? Place a screenshot with issue you talking about.
I figure out how to ADD (not modify) themes.
Take a look at attachment... There one theme added called 'NEW' (copy of 'Glam' but is more then 7 buildin themes).

No issue with keyboard?
If you delete original DefaultThemes.apk from system/app you can install themes (like normal app) and after reboot it will not change to stock.
First backup and then delete. On ICS this is working correctly.
To change icons we need to modify apps... This is a lot of work. In DefaultThemes or ThemeChooser app there are no possibility to add icons change mod or it's very very very hard to do.
When I buy new PC I'll write app (this is a plan ) to change whole UI (backgrounds and icons) for stock.

Accually, I did it only for me (Being-Selfish ) ! but now, I would like to share this with you all
All I did is making the Nexus4 themed SystemUI by Ikaster17 more transparent than the original one and nothing else .
Installation:
-download THIS .
-Flash via cwm [Sorry, I couldn't test the flashable file as I'm now on UNROOTED stock of INU fw ]

I know this is a very basic mod, but this is my first, so I'm really happy about it, and hope I can do more and better theming in future :angel:

hey its not working nothing change status bar full black and no brightness control on notification oO
Dude, i followed each step you mentioned and push everything to where the file should be, but it canmot load the SystemUI.apk. see attachment

did u set permisson for each files ? mine working fine but no mentioned features

1- push lidroid to system/framework. Change permissions
2-push quick settings to system/apps. Change permissions.
3-push systemui.apk to system/apps. Change name to SystemUI.apk. Change permissions.
-reboot.
I tried. Its working!

Are you deodexed? Running lq4? It is just NOT possible that it won't work! ..I'm using that only!

Ahhh, i know what was wrong already. Now i'm on LPY, no wonder it's didn't work. :silly: wanna flash to LQ4 now and test it again... sorry for the trouble
