I had recently and successfully rooted my phone (x10a) to 2.1. However, I'm wondering if there is a way or a particular firmware out there that I can rollback to in order to rebrand the phone to AT&T's standard-shipped 1.6?
Thank you in advance.

That link gives a list of the original operator firmwares.
Thank you!

Hi, I have a Xperia X10a that I bought from AT&T in the US. I flashed 2.1 on the phone. The problem is that I need to return this phone to AT&T ASAP! To do this I need to re-flash AT&T's original 1.6 ROM back on to the phone. I have tried searching for this ROM everywhere but I cannot seem to find it.
Can someone please help me by providing me with the Original AT&T 1.6 ROM?
Thanks!

Hello I'm searching for AT&T Rom 1.6 2.1 or 2.3. I was searched but all links are in Megaupload which is banned
Hey guys.
I have a a P500 bought from a NZ retailer but parallel imported. I have discovered it has Singapore firmware. I have updated to 2.2.2 but want to downgrade to 2.2 (V10B) so I can root and uninstall bloatware. Using the links provided there is no download for V10B and only for V10A. Is there a huge difference? Can I use another country that will work the same?
It says it is on the vodafone network. If I used the telecom firmware, what would happen?
Thanks

its fine, if u flash a wrong rom, try flashing another one.. ur version should be under V10C i think. Ur call function might screw up, but i think if u flash a custom rom it will be solved
If ur are thanked, please press the thanks button
just to be safe flash a singapore 2.2 rom
hmm yea I wanted to flash the singapore 2.2 rom but it just gives page not found. Is there a way to find the roms that aren't downloadable from that lg link.
I'm requesting a Rogers 2.3.2 FTF file to use with the flashtool.
There was a 2.3.3 update one posted already, but there are none for the original.
Basically, my phone was screwed, factory reset didn't work, only thing that fixed it was flashing the ftf for 2.3.3, but now I'm stuck with no root. I do use the Rogers apps, and the UK generic obviously doesn't have them.
I'm hoping someone with the required knowledge could make a 2.3.2 for those of us who want to root first, then update with OTA, with the Rogers software included. I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants to have 2.3.3 with root, and not be stuck using the UK generic.
If someone knows how to get the Rogers apps (like the "My Account" one) working in the UK generic, then I'll try that instead.
Much thanks in advance.
EDIT: Screwed up on the thread name and forgot to write what the request was. I apologize for that.
UPDATE: Turns out the Rogers apps are downloadable in the Android market. Would still like the official version though.
can u unlock bootloader on Rogers branded phones?
if yes then u can use the prerooted kernel i have posted here:

Rogers phones are locked. We are hoping for a method to unlock our bootloaders
Hello!
I've searched many threads with usefull information through XDA forums, but some say that it is absolutely necessary that the phone should be unlocked, some say I cam update firmware even if it is unlocked.
I don't want to brick the phone, that's why I'm asking again...so, please, tell me which option should I choose.
Thank you in advance...
Your phone doesn't need to be unlocked to update the firmware
as above, the phone doesn't need to be unlocked.
However, if your phone is using branded carrier firmware, you can not update to a newer generic firmware and must wait for your carrier to release the updated version.
If your phone is running generic firmware, then you can just update to newer generic firmware no probs.

Thanks! You mean that if my phone is on Vodafone RO, I can upgrade only with a Vodafone RO firmware?! If I try to put a non-branded firmware will not work?
Thank you...

Hello.
Me too I am curious about changing my firmware.
My phone is carrier locked. But I want to use a non branded firmware.
Did you tried? It is possible without bricking my phone?
After flashing a non branded firmware I will be able to use SIM cards from other carriers?
THX.
Hi guys,
I'm desperately searching for the X10i_3.0.1.G.0.75_VFE-DE VFE 1234-4587.zip firmware.
As multiupload seems to be down, there's no chance to download it from there...
I tried several other sharehosters - but: no luck...

Would someone kindly provide this file also for me?
Thanks in advance!

Hi dedeman,
thank you for your kind support.
But your firmware isn't with German Vodafone Branding, is it?
I need any German Vodafone firmware, doesn't matter which version.
Yeah, it's generic, not branded one. But why are you looking for Vodafone rom?
Because of the late updates of branded Vodafone devices, i have debranded my X10.
So i have the generic german firmware since more than one year ago.
Now I have a problem with my device and I think Sony will not accept this defect as warranty because there is not the branded Vodafone firmware on it...
Hi!
I'm looking too much for the firmware with the vodafone branding!
Has this any person?
If so, then a great big thank you ever!
regards,
