This is the newest leaked honeycomb music player, install like every other .apk and no, the streaming doesn't work, nor does the stageui widget.
now test the new camera, clock, and gallery: http://www.droid-life.com/2011/04/0...y-desk-clock-and-cube-wallpaper-android-apps/
where is com.google.android.music.apk? i cant find it and im getting "application not installed"
ok so, the music and clock are failing to install. and the camera and gallery do install, they give duplicate icons in the launcher, one for new and one for old, and the new apps both dont load. >_<
I read that these work only on gingerbread at the moment.

very slick music player. I like it very much. Seems its louder than the stock that comes with the Streak.
Thanks for posting!

very nice, my favorite player on the streak to date. thank you
Okay, so does this install on two four five (for reasons unknown my streak won't do numbers)? If so, for those of us unclear on the process, how?

I'm not sure if there is already a thread for music players because you can't search with xda apppppp. Correct me if I am wrong. What do you guys think is the best music player/app?
I really liked the Samsung music player.
Stock one on the atrix sucks I think. It freezes from time to time and does some funky shewt
Edit: I am wrong. You can search......

Ditto. I needed an app that played wav files for work (voicemail forwards) and ended up with an awesome music player.

Has the leaked music app.
Winamp is (in my opinion) the best. It offers everything doubleTwist does plus wireless sync is free. The doubleTwist app on the PC side is sluggish and bloated whereas Winamp is quite speedy and lightweight comparatively speaking. doubleTwist does offer streaming to ps3/360 but you can do that already using DLNA so it doesn't really matter.
DoubleTwist FTW... The leaked music app is good looking but too laggy for my constant use

search for the Connected Music Player, its motorola but 10x better than stock, it does lyrics, internet radio, song tagging music videos and tunewikki community, i love it so much better than stock

Cubed.
I ended up having to root and freeze the default music player so it would stop trying to take over music duties via bluetooth controls. I had that problem with a few other players too, not just cubed, so if you are using it to stream music via bluetooth, something to think about doing.
Cubed.
So smooth and visually appealing.
WinAmp FTNW! (for the nostalgia win!)
Works pretty well too, and has wifi sync. I mostly just use the player in gtunes or pandora though.

+1 the equalizer in this player is amazing - I'm using the headphones setting and it sounds great.
I like DoubleTwist as well.. easy to sync music and movies
PowerAMP
If you haven't tried PowerAMP for a music player, you really haven't unleashed your Android's music abilities. Hands down the best music player you will ever use, and easily worth the $5 to get the pro version. Check it out!
???!!!
The only problem wit this one is that even if u remove the stock player it wont work with bluetooth streaming/controling...
..Maybe were missing some libraries or something a dev could help us please ;-)

Running cm7 3.5, the google music from the market seems to be the phone version. The artist and album view are really big and they scroll very slow, too slow to navigate through my large collection. And when playing music the album art looks horrible like it is just scaled. Is there a specific apk for the touchpad or tablets in general? Looking at this YouTube video its a different look than mine, the albums are very small and easier to scroll through

I spent over an hour last night trying to find a tablet version on google and got nowhere.
I have been trying to find it also
Anyone find this yet? I'm having no luck...
You wont be able to install a tablet version of any app since they use Honeycomb and ICS APIs to run and you dont have those libs in CM7 (since its a mobile version of android (2.3))
I'm sure an update will address this because the "recent" tab is soooo much smoother scrolling and a different layout. Have faith....

I can't sign onto this app since the version downgrade. I'm signed in on the browser of my TP and my PC but I can't find a place to sign in at on the app. It just gives me the three options for adding music but nothing more...
Nm. I just went with the newest version in the market (album/artist view works and scrolls fine if you grab the scroll bar on the right of the page and pull it down) I never search for a song by album anyway so ill manage.

Works perfectly, even though it is an older version, thanks!
Because I cannot, and I wonder if that's a function of the HW/SW or the custom rom I am running.
Thanks,
no, the music will pause when you open the camera
Yep, did it on Eclair, Froyo and now Gingerbread.
Mine shuts off when the camera is opened, using the music app from Unamed. Perhaps it varies app to app.
Just tried it out on CM7 and I coildlisten to music and took a few pics. NO PAUSE here. Worked fine.

I can't do it on Unnamed 2.2.1 using Poweramp.
I am on ICScrewD 1.6.1.
Are there any ROM's other than CM7 that allow this to happen? I am not the hugest fan of CM7, but really miss picture/music coinciding properly...
Depends on the rom. Most will pause the music.

Poweramp has an option in Options->Audio Engine->Audio Focus Change->Uncheck Permanent audio focus change
that lets you play your music while in other apps such as camera/games.

hello for all)
i am looking for any music player witch support media remote keys on notification bar (like ics music player).
PowerAmp does have it. Don't know about the rest cause I only use PowerAmp.
I use the gMusic player and the cm9 player. Both have controls in the notification bar.
I like to have two players because so I can switch easily between two playlist without losing the current song of the other.
My mistake
