Just picked this up from one of the feeds in pulse, I did not upload or extract it, so cannot take any credit whatsoever for it.
But it works great on my streak unlike the last version that was knocking around, I'm using the stock 2.2.2 ROM.

I have also an Streak And HTC TP2
I would like to know if you could instal garmin gps on your Streak
I have it on my HTC TP2
Or, if is there a emulator wm for android ?, to run the garmin gps and other programs

I installed google's new androidify app on my streak and it force closes immediately upon start. I am running Steve's 1.7.0. Is anybody else having troubles or is it just me?

Use ooVoo. Front cam works for streak. no issues with video chat
If you use market enabler on the market fake tmobile and dl the one from market works good on mine

I get FC's when I try to video chat and when I try to switch it won't switch between camera's
Qik has released a new qik video connect which supports more android devices (as well as ios devices) and they state that they collaborated with manufactures, including dell, to get it working with many devices.

On my streak 5 with streakdroid 1.9.0 if I tap on video chat the app force closes, and under record and share nothing happens when I attempt to switch cameras, it stays on the rear camera.
Can you guys please test and see if your seeing the same results on stock or other configurations of streakdroid?
Qik would also like to know if the front camera isn't working so they can fix it. the more streakers we have post over here the faster they'll probably fix it for the streak
And if your having the FC issue, go ahead and send in a couple FC reports and submit a ticket over at support.qik.com

I'm on 351 and I get a force close when trying to click the new video feature.
Force close on DJ Steve's 1.9 when selecting video chat.

Cool thanks guys, just wanted to make sure i wasn't the only one.
Can you guys please go and report it to qik so they can get it fixed for us. I'm guessing they might prioritize they're effort to devices with more reports so lets get as many as we can

Skype works wonderfully and both cans too. Search a little in XDA and you will find the apk.

And upgrading to the latest custom ROM (Ginger-based) available on this forum, the front cam can be used without any problem at all on the streak5.

I didnt try on 2.4, but i did on MaxicetDroid 1.0. and works perfectly (except zoom) and MaxicetDroid 1.0 is nice and stable room.
I just flashed MaxicetDroid 1.0. Still no luck getting the either camera's working. I've tried the following Skype APK's.
skype_2.5.0.108.v12.apk
skype.raider2.1.2.apk
I can see the remote video however all they see is blank. Another thing I noticed was that it would crash my Camera App. Only a reboot gets the camera working again.
Some of the hacked skype versions have tweak settings which I've tried several combinations without any success. It says it cannot detect the front facing camera.
Really stumped on this one. Thanks for answering.

I installed Skype straight from the Market on Gingerstreak 2.4 and when I tried a test videocall to Echo123 the front camera displayed fine, no problems!
Not tested in an actual videocall to any contacts because I rarely use Skype, was merely curious to try it out
I did a full factory reset and still couldn't get the front camera working in the camera app. Its not skype rather a defective front camera.

Has anyone found a good manga reader for cell phones, or are they just too small? (Even the Dell Streak)
And can anyone recommend a good pdf reader? One that isn't slow to go to the next page, that has a good text reflow setting (I can't stand ezpdf's text reflow, and it is slow, to me.) For now, I'm just using Adobe Reader, but it has the minor annoyance of sometimes not saving the page I'm on. (I've been typing the page I'm on in a draft text.)
