Ok so I have been looking for a theme for cm7 with transparent notification bar like miui. If there isn't one.. where abouts in framework-res.apk or system-ui.apk do I need to edit, to mod notification bar colours and transparency. Thanks

So I have a transparent status bar patch and it works fine but I have to have aCM7 theme that supports it like miui from zune or orian does any one else know other cm7 themes that support the transparent status bar ????

all theme can support transparent status bar just use multi picture live wallpaer it will get u transparent status bar,
edited:all latest cm7 does i dnt know about the outdated ones

Most of the images are in system/app/systemUI.apk and some are in system/framework/framework-res.apk (images are in res/drawable-hdpi)
To learn how to change them search in the themes section here on in android general themes.

@devilsking i am using themyth ks3 rom and i like the transparent status bar. However when i am at my main screen or drawer, my statusbar is not transparent. Why is it so?

Did you try dragging down the notification bar to see if it was really transparent

It is. But as you can see the whole status bar should be transparent even inmy main screen and drawer but it isnt.

try using adw, touchwiz doesnt suport it.
Either adw as said above or use a live wallpaper which stretches beyond the status bar.
