When i hit the power key to make my found sleep
1 out of 5 times it will nonrespondent. vibrate. screen goes black. vibrates twice. then boots up.
it seems to happen in any app. what could be the problem?
Excuse me if I am mistaken but your English was quiet broken.
You say when you put the phone to sleep/stand by it becomes unresponsive, vibrates twice, then reboots?
Usually this is a force close/kernel issue. (I don't think my wording is right on that).
Are you by chance running a ROM with the music controls on the lock screen?
I remember this happening on a version of super clean with music controls on the lock screen.
I would suggest first updating your ROM to remove the music controls, or a straight ODIN to stock with a wipe of everything and then reflashing the latest and greatest ROM of your choice with a solid kernel. (Anything by jt )

Every time I answer a call or push the send button to start a call, the screen goes blank, all external buttons do not work, and the 4 soft button are not functioning. I have to wait for the other person to hang up to end the call, and even then none of the screen or button functionality returns. I have to remove the battery and reboot the phone every time. Anybody seen this or experiencing this?
Running CM 7.0.2 Stock (no OC kernel, no GPS patch)
Edit: I found that plugging in the usb cable resets the screen and brings it back to normal. there has to be a setting or tweak thats causing this
Hi guys,
I am having this weird issue with my i9100, sometimes i can't wake my phone up! Only way is to remove the battery and put it back in
I have a feeling this may be a common issue, but I just didn't know what key words i had to use to search for this specific issue. I hope it is software, and not hardware.
I currently have the old lite'ning rom installed.
this person described my situation perfectly:
"Twice I have left my phone and then when i press the power button in the side to wake the screen in it wont turn on. I first thought it had ran out of power as no matter how many times i press the power button nothing happened. But if you press the volume button you can hear the phone beep as it gets louder so it is one. The only way i can get the screen to work is to take the battery out and put it back in again?"
helpp ( when the phone goes on sleep, it ignores everything even calls
Heya, seems like a ROM/kernel issue to me (perhaps even undervolting one). Try installing the newest version od your ROM, or Kernel and make sure you have no undervolting active. Hope it helped ya.

Last night I pulled my phone out of my pocket to answer a text, as soon as I unlocked it, the volume bar popped up, went from full volume to silent/vibrate and continued vibrating. I tried to do anything but volume down kept interrupting everything. Even opening random programs and what not. I pulled the batt and restarted, it sat at the droid screen with the white "rsd service loading" or whatever it is, and sat there for the rest of the night until the battery died.
I got it to start up and boot all the way into the OS. It acts normally until i press the back button or the volume buttons. It then goes into the haywire crazy vibrating mode. I can get it to stop sometimes by pressing the Home button. But as I type this its randomly vibrating on my desk.
You fellas think this is a hardware issue or software?
P.S. I tried getting into the boot menu and clearing the cache, but pressing the volume button just caused it to hang at the rsd load.
Ur not on cm7 huh? Our bootstrap is automatic on plug in while power off.
Cyanogenmod
No sir. All stock, no root. 2.3.4
I was rooted before, but had all sorts of lag problems. After going back to factory everything seemed to clear up. So thats where I've stayed.
I'm considering just using my insurance and getting a new one (hopefully an upgrade to a 3 or something) as my case is fairly worn.... But if I dont need to..........
I'm wondering if anyone else has this problem or if any dev may know a solution.
A few days ago, I flashed the Stock with Goodies v1.75 ROM, which comes with the mod that allows you to skip tracks with the volume rocker. However, when I tried to use it with the stock Music app, a long-press of the volume rocker did nothing at all. When I turned the screen on, the lock screen controls were also non-functional. The "buttons" would respond to presses, but would do nothing at all. Short-presses for the volume rocker work as expected (raising/lowering the volume).
Thinking the ROM just wasn't jiving with my phone, I decided to flash Rejuvinated Stock v2.15 last night. Upon first testing, the volume rocker worked as it should, and the lock screen controls worked fine. However, when I used it this morning, both stopped working again. It is just as before--long-press of the rocker does nothing, lock screen app controls respond to touch but don't actually do anything.
It's becoming frustrating to have to unlock the screen to change tracks all the time, so I'd REALLY appreciate some help here. I considered flashing the Universal Menu Button Remap/Volume Rocker mod, but I do not want the menu button remap. Is there a flashable .zip for just the rocker mod somewhere?
Thanks in advance!
Edit: Just tried a reboot and clearing the app's data, to no avail.
I'll use this as a guide to diagnosing/fixing the problem later on this evening, if I can't find a solution before then.
I've ran the stock with goodies rom with the volume skip mod before with no problems. I ran it for a couple of days and had absolutely no problems skipping tracks while jogging, very convenient. Maybe a bad download? Try to redownload and reflash. I'm S off via panda running TWRP 2.2.1. Good luck.
I had the same exact problem with the same exact Stock with Goodies v1.75 ROM. I tried everything short of a factory reset. Turns out what I did to fix it was do a factory reset with full wipes and reinstall the Rom. I backup'd up all my apps with TB and made sure to clear Google wallet before flashing the Stock with Goodies v1.75 ROM. Works flawlessly now with any music app.
Hope this helps.
Wasn't a bad download - MD5 matched.
I suppose I'll wipe and re-install tonight. I'll post back with results. Hopefully it solves the problem permanently. Not sure what caused it in the first place, though. :/
Thanks for the replies!
Reflashing (Rejuvinated Stock) worked... we'll see if the problem returns.
Edit: Still working fine. And still completely baffled as to why it wasn't working right the first time.
I picked up my v10 (LG H901 unlocked) and tried unlocking, the screen was completely dimmed out. I could hear notification sounds and had the haptic feedback when unlocking with fingerprint but nothing could be seen. I took out the battery restarted the phone and the screen booted up into the home screen but dimmed out completely again after barely 3 secs. It's continued till now, I hear notification sounds, the vibrations work but the screen is completely blacked out.
Taking out the battery and reinserting starts the phone normally but goes blacked out again after it loads.
I'm on Android 7.0. Help pls

Power off the phone...hold down the volume down and power buttons at the same time....when you see the lg screen appear briefly (1 second) release the power button while keeping the vol down pressed..then re-press the power button....all this in the end should boot you into recovery...it will ask you a couple of scary questions which you can say yes or no to....the bottom line is this...if you can see fine in recovery then you've set the brightness way to low and/or installed an app that's done that to you in your ROM. If recovery is to dark to read then it's a physical issue with your device. About the only thing that's gonna undo the rom issue if it's that is a factory reset (which you can do from recovery). If you were using auto brightness then make sure when you get back into your rom that you disable it until you can figure out what you did that caused it to get so dark you can't read it.
