Is there any way to root my x10 whitout my pc and z4 dont work for me sorry if this sounds noob but last time I rooted was like 4months ago

You need a computer to root. Try the latest flashtool, it's the most reliable in my opinion.

No internet connection

Possibly go somewhere with internet connection and transfer it on a flash drive. Otherwise looks like your stuck =(

How did you post this if you had no internet connection?

Yeah you could use your data connection to dl it and the transfer to your PC. Not sure how big the flashtool is though and if you have enough data to do it.

adbWireless is good if you're developing apps and the like. Allows you to use adb over a wireless network.

[Q] wifi hotspot error..

Hello guys,
Yesterday, I was just trying to enable the wifi hotspot feature, but it just would not enable.
I am using Wolfbreaks Xperia TWCM6 ROM, BB .67.
Tried all the fixes mentioned in the how-to for the Rom. It just would not work. As soon as I tap on the option, it says error and closes itself.
I tried using Wifi Tether, but as soon as I starts, it prompts: Sorry, but your kernel does not have all necessary features for running this application.
It does starts tethering, but I tried connecting other 2 phones. They do recognize the hot-spot, but keep say connecting...
any idea....
try the app Wifi Static

I tried the Wifi-static app. I dont know actually how to use it. Googled and found some static ip settings. Tried using it bit no use.
Does the stock kernel supports native wifi tethering?
Try barnacle wifi tether. Look up in android market or google

So once again, I have to wait for SE to update the firmware... I hope they do it as said in August!

Limited connectivity wi-fi. Is there any point?

If I have a dodgy wifi signal it will connect with 'limited connectivity' which seems to mean it dosent connect at all.
I then need to go and fick about with the settings to get it connected properly.
Does anyone know if you can stop it doing this, I have tried various wifi management apps to no avail?

Wireless tether doent work

Wireless tethering doesnt work on my x10 running stock 2.3.3, anybody knows why?
It always gives an error
Sent from my X10a using xda premium
What is the error that you get?
I turn it on, it activates, 2 seconds later displays error and disconnects
Sent from my X10a using xda premium
oh, are you running a different kernel? for example doomlord's kernel?
Nope,all stock
Sent from my X10a using xda premium
Does it work the way that you would expect using a third party tether application?
official stock 2.3.3 from PC Companion?
oh yeah maybe you could try to get one of those third-party tether programs from the market ^^
Try barnacle pal.

Thanks people, i will try an app

U can try open garden wireless tethering.
Please post how you go.

Apps from the market that enable wifi work only on rooted devices. If yours is stock, un-rooted X10, then the apps will not work. Use PC companion to re-install your system. That should fix wifi tether.

In moments such as where you don't want to give your routers password for a stranger for a temporary purpose..
I also need this...
I don't think there's an app that can do this. If you use the wifi radio to connect to a router, you can't use it at the same time to create an hotspot. I'm quite sure of that. Sorry for my bad english guys
