Won't read uSD card - G Tablet Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Well... I have vegan on my gpad and it says "reading SD card" or whatever when you insert it and "SD card unexpectedly removed" or something like that when I remove it, but if I put like movies on it, it can't be read. When I go to sd card in file explorer it shows files that are obviously internal, because I still see them with the card removed.

Another SD question(s).

I currently have a 2G miniSD card residing in my device. Its contents (a few albums worth of mp3's and an AVI) are found by file explorers and my media players variously play and don't play them as I've come to expect. Anyhoo, the card is there.
So I go to the "settings" menu to unmount the card before removing it, then to "SD card and device storage." There I see no mention of SD2 or microSD as I expected, just the plain SD card. Do I need to unmount the microSD before removal and if so where/how do I do that?
Secondarily, "on the SD card and device storage," there's a menu entry reading "Unmount in Progress." Is that a command I'm meant to invoke when necessary or is there unmounting going on? It seems to refer to the SD card. Why should I ever need to unmount that?

Moving apps to SD Card

I'm on UnNamed 1.3.1, with an 8GB SD Card in there (a 32gb is on my x-mas list).
I go into the settings to try and move things to my SD card, I click on the move, but it doesn't actually move them. Whether they're listed as installed on the phone or on SD Card, it still resides on the phone memory.
If my internal memory is full, it tells me my sd card is full.
The camera app stores the photos on my sd card just fine, so the phone is seeing the external sd...
Halp?
bro, the same thing happened to me. the internal storage on your phone is also called an SD Card. So usually when Android refers to the SD Card, it means its internal storage. I use Astro file manager to move things, there's 'SD Card' and then 'ext_SD Card'. You can copy/paste from one to the other in there, it's really easy.

Just installed CM7.1 and no access to my SD card anymore.

Just installed CM7.1 on my T959 and no access to my SD card anymore. I check (via File Manager) the sd-ext folder and displays "This Folder is empty". Also noticed the message "SD card safe to remove" I put the SD in to my Nook Color CM7.1 and I can see the files. Kingston 8GB Class 4 microSD card. what happened? What am I doing wrong?!
Thanks

my "SD card" is unavailable? [View] (PROBLEM SOLVED DISREGARD)

I just went through the rooting process here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1881748
But when I get to the part where I have to flash the superuser zip file, my "SD card" is unavailable. It was my understanding that even if you don't have an SD card slot, you still have a section of memory that is considered to be the SD card. But for some reason, I think my SD card storage has been combined with the regular storage, so I can't flash the zip from boostrap because it says I don't have an SD card to do it from. Anyone have any ideas?
*EDIT* Sorry disregard this, I had no idea part of the backplate could be taken off an a micro SD card be put in.

[Q] sd card- enlightments

Hi everyone,
something is not so clear to me- whem someone says:"sd card" of:"flash from sd card" does he refer to the internal or external sd card?
when I'm going to:"choose file from sd card" in the recovery, it opens my external sd card and every ROM I used was flashed from the external sd card and I never had problems.
Lately I noticed that every time I'm baching up my phone, I get a message in the recovery:"no ex-card found" and:"skipping on ex-card" or something..
I'm starting to think that I'm doing something wrong. Can anyone clarify this?
Thanks!
