debugging mode messing up pc!! - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

whenever i connect my x10 to my pc (vista) with debugging mode enabled, the wifi connection on the pc goes from 'local and internet' to 'limited connectivity' (which basically means no internet).
if i try to reconnect (or even disconnect) the wifi, the window doesnt respond - try to close it down and it takes ages if it even does at all, and i cant even restart the pc - its like the whole thing freezes - though oddly if i dont try to close anything or do anything with the wifi everything else works fine.
i dont want to keep having to restart my pc everytime i connect my phone to it. has anyone else had this problem? or know a solution?

Tethering issues please help.

Ok so heres my dilemma. I figured I would test out tethering and see what my speeds are. So I connected my TP to my computer and selected the "Tethering" option when it showed up on my phone and thought, ok this should be easy. It connected to my computer, so i disabled my current wireless connection thinking my phones connection would automatically take over. But i was wrong, as a matter of fact nothing happened. When i checked my network settings, it told me i was connected with limited or no internet. Huh? Really? did i do something wrong? When you select tethering from the popup screen does it automatically run the Internet Sharing app?
So now i tried unplugging and replugging my phone back in and now that little popup screen doesnt even show up. Activesync doesnt connect, but i figured you couldnt run activesync and tethering at the same time. But now even worse is when i go to the Internet Sharing app and hit connect, it doesnt connect, it just says "Check usb Cable". As im doing all of this i have network connections up on my computer, watching to see if anything changes. So here i am in the internet sharing app and i hit connect, it says check usb cable, so i hit disconnect and right when i hit disconnect, it shows that im connected on my pc. ????? But even still when i try to surf the web it doesnt work. IDK what i/i'm did/doing wrong.
I like the popup screen when i connect my device to pc and would like to get that back if possible. Can someone please shed some light on 1.How to Tether 2. How to get the popup screen back (even though in all settings->connections->usb to pc->"ask about connection type when i connect" IS checked)
Tried a soft reset to see if that would change anything, but nothing changed.
Unplug your connections to your computer.
don't disable them.
If it is wireless, turn it off, don't disable.
I cannot share my connection while plugged into the network.

Lets break this down a little bit. First of all who is your carrier? Also, do you have the tethering option on your plan? (not that its completely necessary)
From there we can figure out the next step.
tethering
what about PDANET? I used it on my 6700.

Here you go. Install both cabs, reset the device, and go into Programs and start ICSShrUi. You'll be able to tether no problem. Ive been doing so I received my Verizon TP on Tuesday.

[Q] wifi no longer working

so i was at the Borders bookstore yesterday connecting through wifi. I download a program from the Market that I believe was called Wifi Status. I installed it and then removed it. Then all of a sudden my wifi doesn't work anymore.
Do I just need to install this program again to get it working? The weird thing is, it shows that I am connected to my router at home now, but when I try to use the web to connect to wifi...it says I have no network connect. Please help!
I just realized I can't just go to androidzoom.com to download any programs to my computer and install it on my phone through a USB cable. Some people help!
I'm not sure quite what is going on here, but did you reboot your phone to see if that fixes it?
My wifi stopped working once I hard reset and poof its normal again lol

Problem with Wifi - when it fails to connect, does not try to connect again

Hi guys,
I have a OPO with Lollipop, but I think this problem affects Android as a whole.
When my device cannot connect to a WiFi network, appears "connection error" in light gray under the name of the network (where usually appears "connected") and does not try to connect again.
Is there a setting somewhere to tell Android to keep trying to connect?
Usually when I arrive to my house, it detects Wifi when I'm still very far, does not succed to connect (obviously) and then does not try to connect again.
When I arrive to my workplace, it detects Wifi when I'm still in the elevator with poor reception, does not succed to connect and then does not try to connect to the same network again.
If I click "connect" manually then, it connects in a second.
What can I do?
Is there a setting somewhere to force to try to reconnect a few times before giving up?
Thanks in advance to any Android genius that could help me here.

Huawei Y360 U61 Wifi Keeps disconnecting

My phone wifi remains connected for 2/3 mins.I can only access internet for couple of mins, after that although wifi shows connected but I don't have internet access.
But I simply cant reconnect again. After I disconnect and try to connect it says connecting and then nothing happens.
The only way I can get connect to WiFi is by turning off/on airplane mode or restarting device.
So in Short
I am able to turn on WiFi and see available WiFi but cannot connect.
After I turn off/on airplane mode I cant connect to WiFi and I get internet access for like 2/3 mins and then again airplane mode thing.
About my phone
It has WiFi NVRAM and IMEI errors.Whenever I reset I have to remove the error by replacing files( https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2730486)
I have the exact same problem with the same phone. Except the NVRAM/ IMEI errors, I don't know what those are.

USB Tethering not working

Just a couple of days back I was able to connect my phone to the laptop and easily turn on the USB tethering to share the Internet access with the laptop. But all of a sudden it has stopped working. When I connect the phone and try to turn it on now, it will flick to the on state for a second and then get turned off again.
Other phones are working fine. So it's the phone that has the problem. Not the laptop.
Please help!
