Hey guys...i just moved from the Hero cdma forum...i got my optimus s with the latest firmware...bummer...anyway...i rolled back to v9 and rooted...flashed recovery..and got the Aosp 2.3.3 for optimus v going...it is fast...
my only question is...well i know it is made for virgin mobile...and it says it is on the virgin network...i was wondering does it say virgin by default(cause it was built for it) or am i really using the virgin network..it says it isn't roaming...
other than that...i like the rom...i flashed thunderom but i think my recovery(xionia CW) didn't really liked it...do you have any thoughts on any other rom that is fast and stable....
thank you
EDIT: ok...i got it....
i found aosp's little 'Add-on' to flash over the rom to convert it to sprint...(fixes the revert buttons too)
thank you AOSP

Okay, I have set up Lupo's CM9 Beta 1 on the new baseband. I have looked up APN's for data and entered all that I have found, but it dosen't seem to save afterwards. I can text and call to my hearts content, but I can't get data to work for the life of me. I was wondering if anyone has managed to get data working on ICS + V20 Baseband, on the Optimus T (on T-Mobile)
I know I'm new, but I preformed searches on here and on the main page for Lupo's ROM, but I have yet to find a mention of the Optimus T. The only ROM I have used with working data on the v20 baseband is Ciaox's OpenOptimus Gingerbread.
Any help? Thanks in advance!
*Bump* Please help me!
switch back to open optimus..
That's a bug. You have to wait for a fix.

Probably you are the owner of one of the sims CM7/9 cannot cope with for now.
It's a known bug but cannot tell you when it will be solved.
Better post this bug at Cyanogenmod-forum.
Hello XDA developers.
Im a bit confused, hope you could help me..
I have an LG Optimus P500 H , and i want to install a cyanogenmod ROM with gingerbread.
Of all the information i had gathered, my phone is in the OLD baseband, with a kernel version: 2.6.32.9
I have readed that i have to install a new baseband for the cyanogenmod "P500-v10E-baseband.7z " from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1149530 , is that correct?
Wich version of cyanogen do you recommend me to install? I live in argentina and i dont want to lose my 3G/HDSPA/EDGE connection.
The other thing is, that all the links are dead because of the megaupload closure. =(
Thanks.
You seem confused. New baseband is v20. As long as you are not on T-Mobile, data and 3g should work fine. If you are, you can try and if it doesn't work, revert to v10. One of the network frequencies doesn't seem working with v20 (I Think its 1800hrz - correct me if I'm wrong) and as long as your network isn't dependent of that frequency, its fine.
Try out adfad666's N2 or a cyanogenmod nightly if you want. Lupohirp's ICS is almost complete and its for the new baseband, and as far as I know, the newest oxygen tom is too

Or if you don't want to flash new baseband you can try the old baseband fixes for cm7 or cm9.

Thanks-a-lot!
I think i will go for "CyanogenMod 7.2.0-RC0-OptimusOne-KANG [.32][.35][BothBasebands]" when adfad666 releases the removed link, until i feel more confident messing with the basebands and kernels, hehe..
Last year i had a HTC, wich i flashed so many times i lost count, now i see this as a whole new world!
PD: Dont like much the homescreen of "nightly" version. I miss SPB shell so much...
I own a LG Optimus V from Virgin Mobile currently rooted and running Android 2.3.7 CyanogenMod 7.2.0-RC0-IHO-KANG on Mirage's kernel ([email protected]))
While it performs fine and I love it, I have a few issues.
Ever since I put this ROM on in late December, I cannot connect to any WiFi network; usually stuck at "Obtaining IP Address" And I'd love to be able to use WiFi ASAP.
Also, I can not seem to install Busybox, getting the error that my phone is not rooted, most of the time, though it is. Due to this, I cannot run Font Changer, SD Maid, etc, etc, etc.
How do I fix any of these issues?
Also, is there a CM9 in development for Optimus V and not just Optimus One?
(Is a huge fan of ICS)
Thanks in advance!
P.S:I also can not wait to start developing apps and roms to use and share with the community, though my skill lies in 3DS Max and Photoshop.
A little advice
You can get into THEMEING....
There is no CM9 port for Optimus V though there is a good ICS-THEMED rom.
Try rooting again with SuperOneClick v2.3.3
Actually, it looks like there is an ics for the optimus v:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1504646
Umm, I rooted with Gingerbreak since the super one click method never seemed to work with me, could that be a problem?
sounds like its a rom issue, just root the phone again with the new rom installed, but the wifi problem is a rom issue, find out if other people are having the same issue with the rom as you are, if so, pm the dev about making a update to fix the issue
Agh, when I try to open gingerbreak it says "Cannot extract assets."
Is this maybe because I'm now on Android 2.3.7?
Hey Guys,
Been wrestling around today with some roms.
I liked the Cyanogenmod10 but it just misses the subtle touch with the stock.
So i like to revert it back to the standard firmware
Android version 4.1.1
Smalbandversion i9300BOLH2
Mod : Cyanogenmod10 Nightly
Ive been searching around for stock roms. But im kinda new to the scenery of the S3, ( Flashed and devved loads of hardware in the past years )
Questions that make me freak out is "What rom can i use, im using a T-Mobile carrier, but the mobile sim lock free, do i need a tmobile rom? or can i just use a non branded stock one? ( since i want the terrible splash screen gone ) )
Im looking forward to your responses
Greetings Web !

Here is a couple hybrid modems if you would like to try them. One is .33/.84 is a mix of an older and newer N4 modems. The other is based on AT&T jb with latest N4 added in. Not sure if they will help with your issues but I don't have any other answers to offer.
Thank you i will try them tomorrow thanks for the help
