Hi All
I recently had to restore my Xperia x10i to stock firmware with flash tool. All that is fine and the phone it working once again
But now the phone says "Sd Card Blank or has an Unsupported Filesystem" and even my laptop says it must be reformated,
If i procede to format (with any formatting tool) The computer brings back an error and i cannot complete the proccess.
The strangest thing about it though is the fact that laptop says the card has 1.3TB of storage, which is vastly incorrect as it is only a 2GB card.
If anybody can help with my problem it would be much appreciated
thanks
You're sd card is corrupted. better buy a new one buddy..
I would've thought there would be some way to fix this :/
thanks anyways
Edit: If i do chkdsk with command prompt, the laptop comes back with, the type of file system is RAW
have you tried formatting it on your phone?

if u had previous 2.1 rom with partition sdcard and switch to 2.2 rom, for sure u will have notification blank sdcard because 2.2 have native app2sd which does not required 2nd partition

I just created a ext3 partition for my sd and it got screwed the phone couldnt recognise it said it has corrupted. ended up formatting it through phone now my firmwares screwed cant mount sd, keeps rebooting and not able to use the notification bar (TRIPMIUI mod by cf) now im reflashing my FW throuugh SEUS. Lost all my contacts and messages. Can somebody tell me where did i go wrong to cause this landslide of BULL?
- formatting sd should go first Fat32 then the remaining space go to ext2/ext3..
- both should be formatted in primary. The phone need to read the fat32, those ext2/ext3 are for the system link which only work after the phone boot up normally.
- Full backup is always a good way to prevent any unwanted landslide of fire...
I have the same issue. Partitioned my SD card and my phone could not find it after. I also tried to resize my fat32 partition with data on it along with a ext3 partition to see if it would find my sd card but had no luck making it work.

If you want to start over, reformat your SD card with this:
http://www.sdcard.org/consumers/formatter_3/
For some reason, some of the custom roms do not recognize the SD card after you've created partitions. Reformat and try again.
Even when I reformat my sd card the phone does not detect it. I believe that its because of my ext3 partition. seems like the phone reads the 2nd partition (ext3) as the main partition of the sd card.
Where does the android system determine which partition is the main one?
There must be some type of script that tells the system what partition to look for. Am I right?
If there is then maybe we could mod the script so it, always reads from a certain position first.
Anybody know anything about something like this?

since u seem to be using froyo rom u do not need additional partition of ext2/3 on sdcard... app2sd is already implemented in most 2.2 roms and work with fat32 partition of sdcard without any issues...

Hi,
I have a very strange problem, I have tried 3 CM6 ROMs but none of these can access my SD but when I reflash 2.1 ROM it is working fine.
Please note that I formatted the card through PC (FAT 32) and xRecovery but still same issue. Most strange thing is that the same card is accessible by 2.1 ROMs, means that it is not corrupted. I tried factory reset removing the SD but no help and when I try another SD it worked, so my conclusion is that there is something wrong with my SD with CM6 ROMs only.
Please help!!!!
I am using Sandisc 16 GB SD.
I am on 2.1.54 baseband and stock kernel and tried 3 CM6 ROMs so far.
Thanks
did u have partition on your sdcard? if got, that means that u had to remove the partition on the sdcard.
make a full backup of ur sdcard to ur pc and then format it using the x10

Hello guys.
I want your help! I don't know if the problem is from my card or from my recovery.
I've connected my SD-card to my computer in order to make back-up for my data(I think that was a little premonition).
After that I wanted to copy a new ROM to the card in order to flash it, but the speed was too slow. So I've enter into Recovery in order to copy there the ROM(mount the card as USB). Then, I've noticed that the speed was very low so I've decided to format the SD.
I've put into the card reader of my laptop and made a full format of the card(FAT32).
Last stap, I've inserted the card into my phone and tried to Mount as USB, but, than appeared the big error:
"Unable to write to ums lunfile(no such file or directory)!"
After that I've tried to repartion the card..but only the same message appeared.
I've to mention that my ROM(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=23789395#post23789395) is working fine!

I've tried that too. No chance. I've format the card with http://www.partitionwizard.com/download.html. It can see all the partitions from SD card. On that card I had an ext4 partition(from my old HTC Desire). After that, in phone I can see the card(both Android and Recovery) but can't copy anything on it.

Try formating the card threw the sd options in SD/ storage setting. Meaning unmount the sd. Then format the sd. When its complete it should remount the sd automatically. Also you should try reflashing your recovery. Also what rom and kernel are you using??

My 64GB SanDisk Ultra Class 10 card was running fine untill recently i flashed Omni ROM !! Then i was not feeling good with onmi and i returned back to Stock Rom..then the problems started to occur.I didn't notice at 1st.after when i connected to my pc to insert some files the files does not WRITE !! it shows that the files are being copied but when i refresh it stays the same old files which was previously there before....
What to DO ????
Can any one Help !!!
Use sd formatting tool on your pc, if still the same then buy a new card.
I have the same SD card, and sometimes when I flash a new rom I have to format because my phone is unable to read it. I always reformat it with SDFormatter V4.0, you can try it.
Do a "FULL (OverWrite)" format to be sure.

My S3 has killed at least 3sd cards of mine. Phone would start dismounting and remounting the SD card by itself, eventually the card would stop working. I've given up using a SD card in my phone
Mine has the same 32gb card I put in the day I got the phone, 2 years ago. Not had any problems at all, I avoid using the internal storage to reduce wear on the emmc chip.
