Did you install HTC Sync also? Although the instructions state to make sure HTC Sync is not installed, during the install of HTC Sync it adds some drivers, too that are needed also.
When you install HTC Sync, you will see HTC Sync and HTC Driver Installer in Add/Remove programs. You need to uninstall HTC Sync but leave the HTC Driver Installer and then go through the instructions.
Regards,
Tom
Ok that may be my problem. I have never had HTC sync. Where do I get HTC sync from? Just Google it? Thanks for the help.

So, I have the Evo 3D and this is a new skin from HTC Hub that is not available for the Flyer. This is the first skin I have EVER made for an Android HTC device, so yeah, there are some problems! But, it looks ok for a first attempt. Lol. My BIG issue is finding a way to tweak the bottom navigation bar. I don't have a clue! So, if anyone has any pointers.....I would be much obliged!
You don't need root and it's actually called Spaceship Earth on HTC Hub for the Evo 3D. Here is a picture.....Just download and install.....
Thanks marygladys

Thanks! I guess you can copy and extract system/app/Burgundy.apk to find out what images are used for the Navigation Bar...
Sent from my HTC Flyer P510e
Yeah, I extracted the Burgundy one as it is the most noticeable with the Navigation Bar, and nothing. I am wondering if it is packed in the m10 files.....Well, I am holding off until we know if HTC will be keeping this version of Sense when we get the upgrade to Honeycomb.....
I like the green and the pen is even better.

is there a page where i can download further Flyer Skins like this?
It's not for your phone. This is specific for the Flyer. Under Settings > Applications > Unknown Sources has to be checked.
Download the apk. Install it, then go to Personalize > Skins and it should show up there.
Lemme know if it's a problem then.

Is it possible to install the AOSP ICS keyboard apk pulled from an AOSP rom and install it onto stock Sense 3.6 and have it fully functioning?
I have my old MyTouch 4G on an AOKP rom and I pulled LatinIME.apk from it. Now I'm just wondering whether this keyboard would function properly on my unrooted stock Amaze.
EDIT: Would I also need LatinIMEDictionaryPack.apk as well?
You can just answer that yourself, try it, if it doesn't work, then voila, question answered, right?

I get an error when opening the .apk. "There is a problem parsing the package." I've gotten this kind of error many times for different apps without understanding what it actually means.
Could someone explain to me what this error means in the context of Android apps?
EDIT: Would it also be possible to try and push the app through ADB?

That's probably because the android version is different, try pulling it from an ICS based rom, for like the sensation since that is similar to your device and give it a shot again before try to push it to the system.

What do you mean the Android version is different? I'm pulling it from an AOKP rom which is ICS based, however it may possibly be the different resolution on the 2 devices. WVGA (MyTouch 4G) vs qHD (Amaze)
I guess I'll just download CM9 for the Sensation and try again.
EDIT: LatinIME.apk from CM9 for the Sensation works like a charm!
I like the stock ICS keyboard as well, compared to sense. You can also download a ICS keyboard straight from the Play store and use it right away.
I am Chinese using Motorola thus I got thousands of chances to play with different roms modified based on the stock. Many would change the ime, but some prefer the original.
I did notice when installing a stock ime update pack from Moto, that not only the Latin.apk is changed, but some other modification will be made in the system layer as well.
I believe it is like the stock browser or Google talk app, that a single file would not work functionally without the other parts related.

Now that I know that the AOSP keyboard works on Sense 3.6 flawlessly, I want to go about putting a full fledged AOSP application onto my Amaze. I want to try putting the AOSP messaging app on, but I do not think it will be as easy as a simple keyboard.
The stock messaging app on the Amaze and the AOSP messaging app on CM9 for the Sensation have the same filename. I'm not sure if I'm right here, but would this indicate that they can't be run side by side with each other?

As I said before, give it a shot, make a backup of your current app by copying it to your sd card or something, then replace it withe AOSP version, since I've noticed that files with the same name usually can't be installed together, even if you rename the other file, but you can give that a shot as well.

The thing about the current app is that it is the stock messaging app which is located under /system which I do not have access to modify as I am not rooted. If I install the AOSP version, it would be installed under /data. I am not sure how they would them interact, assuming that they can be installed side by side.

You can get an apk signing app, that should change it, I'd recommend changing the name as well and keep your fingers crossed that it won't conflict again and well hope it works too.
Is there a reason to make this issue complicated? There are several free ports of the ICS keyboard available in the play store, why not simply install them in addition to the sense keyboard and use it as your primary input?

Awesome! Congrats! Haven't even looked at the Rom yet but something you may want to learn is adding the quick settings to the drop down menu. That was one yor my favorite features on my vivid. Half of the tab was notifications other half you could quickly change Wi-Fi bt plane mode etc.
Again welcome to the kitchen!

It's fantastic, thanks man.
"AOSP like" meaning it still has sense somehow? The "about" screenshot makes it seem like sense still exists in some capacity on the phone, but perhaps that's just where we're at ROM-wise right now. I suppose I can answer my own darn question by flashing this tomorrow.

It is based off the original ROM. I removed many of the sense files The framework still has all the Sense info. So yeah. The launcher is what gives it the AOSP look style. Try it out! I hope yot like it!
Found a small bug or issue ..I can send text just fine but I can't attach a mms file from my gallery. When I click on gallery it goes nowhere..I can only attach a picture if I take it from the messaging app. Hope this made sense..
running this now, i deleted the google search widget and there was no "X" symbol to delete but it seems it only happened once, looking for other issues, will report later if i find more...
Also, I cannot click on any hyperlink in the messaging app. Anytime I do the app crashes. I've tried clicking on hyperlinks in emails and they work just fine..only issue is with the messaging app as of now.

I did remove Google Voice Search. There may have been something with it or that I may have missed if it shows it is installed. Uninstall it and reinstall it from the market. That should work for you. Remember, this is supposed to be at the bare minimum.

Use quickshortcutmaker found in the play store. Install it then search for car. It will let you put a shortcut to the HTC Car app.
The new/updated HTC Car is much nicer in Sense 5. The UI and speed have been improved significantly over the Sense 4/4.1 versions. If i wasn't using CarHomeUltra already I'd switch to HTC Car.
