Account stopped unexpectedly. - Droid 2 Global Themes and Apps

Hello everyone! I'm using the Droid2 Global by Verizon. I'm on the stock ROM with system version 2.4.330. I did installed lots of apps and games. But in the last 5 days, I can't access my Setting -> Accounts. When I press the Accounts it said: "Sorry! The application Settings (process com.android.settings) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
So what happened to my phone? And how to solve this problem?
Very much appriciate!

Hm... I'm guessing you've already tried a reboot. I would suggest a factory reset. This will wipe your phone, so I would backup whatever you want to keep.
Settings -> Privacy -> Factory Reset

If you haven't tried a battery pull first then do what was suggested above.

@orkillakilla: I'll try a factory reset. Before that I'll backup everything using the Titanium Backup or using the Backup in Recovery?

Use Titanium. If you back up in recovery and the reset fixes the problem, then when you restore you will still have the same problem.

error after restore Nand backup

I am running FroShedYo v10 rom with a droidx keyboard flashed over it from this thread...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=7827670&postcount=72
and the keyboard works great, even after weeks of use and countless reboots it works with no issue. But once i create a Nand backup and try to restore it, I get this error:
"Sorry!
The application Android Keyboard (process com.android.inputmethod.latin) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
And it just continues to re-post that message over and over.
Is there a way to fix this, or stop it from happening? Thank you.

i did a clean wipe/factory reset, does the dalvik cache need wiped separately?
The cache does have a separate option to wipe, at least on Amons.
I tried a restore once that failed for some reason after I wiped everything. As long as I don't wipe before I restore it seems to work fine.

[SOLVED] WTF? Is up with the Market? Look at this...

Tried to go to my apps in the Market and keep getting this crap!!!
I get that after a fresh wipe and ROM install. I think it's a matter of Market talking to the phone and reading what apps you do and do not have currently installed.

OK well first relax. Issues like this are common when flashing custom roms. Your best bet is to do a full wipe and then reflash the rom. Also don't restore any system data at all as this can cause issues. Only user apps and data
Reboot! Always helps!
Same here factory reset worked

Guys I'm Trying everything!! I Reflashed a Rom and it was Working... Then All of a sudden it said Android market process Force closed, then I couldn't get to my apps again. I just reflashed for a Second time and its still Not working...
Also during the Time when i got it working, all the apps I already purchased were asking for me to buy them again! WTF?

Hi, I know this problem. When you flash a new rom and afterwards apps were installed with a backup tool (e. g. titanium bu) and not with google market directly this error can occur.
When there is one app which was removed from market the error in your screenshot is shown. In my case it was the old version of "cut the rope". To solve this problem it is necessary to remove this link to the market or deinstallation of this app.
As long as there is a mismatch in the app-market-assignment it is also possible that you get the message that apps were not bought.
It is possible to un-link apps using the "rom toolbox pro". As far as I know it is not possible with the free edition.
I would make a nan backup and try to uninstall all apps directly in the market (on your PC not on your cell phone). Afterwards it should be possible to use the market on your cellphone. When something fails you can restore your backup.
Update: when you know which app is the source for your error --> use ur backup again and uninstall just the known erroneous app.
Its a lot of work

Try and go into settings - apps - all apps - find contacts app and clear the cache, reboot phone and try then.
or you can wipe if you didn't when you updated.
if you haven't wiped than you should as you might encounter more errors in the line.
@s.d.oconnor i tried it but there is no cache in contacts.
@atifsh: Can you please provide some information on wiping please.
Try clear the data in contacts first, before doing a full wipe.

When you wipe, you come back to factory defaults, thus your pictures, files, bookmarks, applications, errors, problems all get wiped.
Files in external sdcard, doesn't get deleted.
Dial *2767*3855# to wipe your phone to factory defaults.

If you are still on stock rom, then your can backup your data using kies, and factory reset.

[Q] Titanium backup restore now everything doesn't work!!

I've just flashed SuperNexus and backed up all my apps + data for the first time, it's going through each app one by one on the installation, I assumed it would do it all in one go, is this normal? or have I done it wrong haha?
edit2: after restoring apps + data I just keep getting spammed with messages like "unfortunately, the process android.process.acore has stopped" when I try open contacts, phone etc it says the same message, halp what have I done wrong? my phone keeps crashing cause of everything not working
i cant send a text or anything! even when I receive calls it comes up, some apps work fine and the data is there but most important functions just do not work, can anybody please help me ?

You might try going in recovery and wipe cache and dalvik cache, fix permissions and reboot.
Don't restore system data, and to batch restore apps you need the pro version
I just wiped the caches and nothing changed. If I reflash and restore just apps will I lose the data for the apps? Like saves etc

No, you can restore user apps and it`s data. You will not loose anything.

Yes, but you should be okay to restore data for the apps, but don't restore system data across roms.

Great!
I just reflashed and just did missing apps + data and all works fine, my save game on final fantasy 3 is still there
Good job I saved contacts to SIM or it would of been annoying, thanks everyone!
I thought I bricked it last night too lol, I was flashing "UltimaROM" and was instructed to wipe the phone with his custom installer using Super Wipe. I did that and it just froze, was making no progress at all so I turned it off. It kept rebooting over and over and wouldn't get into recovery mode for ages but it eventually did.
Can anybody answer my kernal question? Is it safe to flash a custom kernal after ROM? I only ask because I read somewhere certain kernals/rom flashing causes a "brick bug" or something

For anyone suffering from this issue and finding this thread, I'd figured out what to do (once ensuring I have the Pro Key installed properly) go into TB's "Menu->Preferences->App processing mode" and (re-)select "Auto, Direct". Then restart TB, and you're all set!
I think that what happened is I'd tried running TB w/o the ProKey installed and it reset that setting. Since TB saves to your SD Card, it doesn't usually get wiped on a reset, so it'd picked up the old, non-ProKey setting (my TB said "Hypershell YES" and "Fast App install NO (need Hypershell)".
