Bootloader and 1.6 - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi now that the bootloader is bypassed, is it possible to implement the launcher from 1.6 so to access the menu you have to drag the bar up instead of tapping a button.
Thanks

How to remove the stock messaging icon...

Is there anyway to remove the stock messaging icon? I use SMS Pro for texting and would like to replace it with the SMS Pro icon. Is this possible?
Hint! Press settings inside the app.

You can change the dock icons by going into the app drawer, press menu, view type, and select customizable grid. Then you can drag which ever app you want to replace the stock app. I then switch it back to alphabetical grid, but that isn't necessary

All stock apps cannot be uninstalled unless you root the phone.

Huh? I've done that and see no option to remove the stock icon, unless I am overlooking it. Could I get another hint?

Be careful ... uninstalling stock apps can have unintended consequences and issues. Its best to hide them in a folder, or ignore them.

Go into settings and disabled notifications. If you trying to remove the icon from the dock, againg press menu inside the appdrawer. Custom arrangement, drag and drop. Hint! There's a hidden settings in every app by pressing the menu button.

Thanks for all the help. I didn't uninstall the stock SMS program, just replaced the icon with the SMS pro icon.

[Q] Edit power menu?

Is there an App to edit the Long-Press power menu? (Sorry I'm not sure what it's called). Cheers!

You need root.
Many ways to do it, easiest for you probably is to instal Darky OTA app:

General / scroll down to the bottom / set power menu

you meant you want to open recent app list via a direct button? viable.
you should change a .pl file. I forgot its name. you can find it in /system directory( perhaps ).
and much more easily, use CM and you can do that with long pressing menu button. I'm using that function.
I have locked bootloader, i can't use CM :-\
