I've just picked up my Vibrant 2 days ago and updated it through Kies to the latest version. Says 2.2 FROYO.UVKA6 in the menu.
Had 2 Yahoo email addresses setup and 1 Gmail account. The Gmail was setup in the e-mail app as well as the native Gmail app.
Now I had been replying to a friend a couple of times, from my Gmail account (probably from the e-mail app). After a while I got some replies back, with the same subject as the emails I'd replied to, but what he received where random emails from my Yahoo inbox!!
Of course I removed the Yahoo accounts right away, but does anyone know about this problem, and what can I do about it?

Hey all.
I'm on a X10i running android 2.1 (rooted). I've got several mail accounts that I'd like collected in the same app. I've got a gmail, my personal mail running imap, a hotmail, and at least two different MS exchange e-mails. Does anyone got an idea for what to use? The stock mail-client does not support exchange, and k9 won't set up my exchange mail correctly.

On every MIUI ROM I'm having the same issue with the e-mail app (not gmail!)
When I installatie my hotmail as an exchange account, my e-mails are shown in plain txt, all the images and stuff are in weird txt and can't open links.
When I set it as POP account, I don't have the problem. But I want my e-mail exchanged, so the mails are also deleted at the server.
Normaliter I uae the hotmail app instead, but I was wondering if there might be a solutions?

I have an international galaxy s3, so far I have used it as a regular user without any “shenanigans”
I have 3 mail accounts setup in the mail app
-Gmail
-Hotmail
-Exchange
Since 4 days ago, the gmail account has disappeared from the mail app (I still see it in the settings/accounts & sync)
The other two accounts are still there and working fine
Every time I manually re-add it like a new account into the mail app, it seems to work fine but within a few hours it disappears again, as if it was never there.
I would be very grateful for insight on this

I have a galaxy s3 - which is the reason I am posting here - and have Android version 4.1.2 running. On 4.1.1 the email client was - in my experience - great. I had 2 gmails, a hotmail and an exchange email address syncing. There were no major speed issues or anything
When I upgraded tot 4.1.2 the sync of gmail when smooth as I expected. Then I tried to add my hotmail using active sync.
All went well and I set up my email to sync for all my emails - which I had in 4.1.1 as well and it is about 15K emails - It started downloading them in batched of 5 from last to newest. Everytime it synced about 20 and stopped. I have push set up and while roaming use the set up config - not manual - It took about 2 days to sync all my mails which I find strange because it didn't on 4.1.1 as well as download 50Kb of the message.
Is this a bug or is it my inbox or what is the problem?
Is there any other app that has combined inboxed for gmail, hotmail en exchange?

I don't ever use the Mail app as I have only Gmail accounts so cannot really point out the problem but what I can do is that advise you to use AquaMail (Search on Play Store) and see whether it provides a nicer experience.

Hey, I've been trying to set up my email on htc one x for 2 days with no success.
I've settled down for aqua mail, after trying maildroid, k-9 (****ty icon lol).
The thing is that my hotmail acount doen't mark as read on server.
From what i understand it's because hotmail is pop'? but it has always worked for me on iphone. Is there a way to get around this.
I dont want to change provider, or forward my mail, or pay for email app, I'd like to have both hotmail and gmail accounts in one unified inbox so rather not just have gmail hotmail separately.
My stock email app is insanely slow, there's something wrong with it, how do i reinstall it?
Is there seriously not a single way to setup hotmail and gmail in the same app except for the stock mail app?
None of the ones i tried are able to mark as read messages on the hotmail server.
K-9 didnt work when i tried to set it up as exchange, because it's webdav or something.
