I decided to package up a Mortscript that I have been using for some time in case anyone else is interested. Instead of using the light sensor or other apps that control your backlight automatically, I prefer to toggle it myself. I have it mapped to a hardware, but I packaged it as a link.
I also added a configuration tool to allow you to set the high and low levels and if you want the backlight to toggle on battery and/or when your phone is plugged in.
Requirements:
MortScript - Cooked in to most custom ROMs
JMLMenuSense - An XML driven Sense menu creation tool - Great tool!
Enjoy!

today, a mayor update for touchpal has been released (v4 -> v5). i like the new look, but the keyboard has lost a key function: it was possible in v4 to hold on a letter and drag it down to write the secondary function.
e.g.: hold "h" and drag it down -> "&".
it was also possible to edit the secondary functions. v5 doesn't allow me to do this.
does anybody know an alternative app? reply please!
(for now, i still use v4, downloadable HERE.

didn't find out how to edit secondary functions, though.
does anybody know if&how this is possible?
I own a chinese manufactured Android phone based on the Qualcomm MSM8225Q SoC. I could build the kernel with source code obtained from CAF (tag R8625QSOSKQLYA3070) and config obtained from the phone's stock kernel (with extract-ikconfig script). The kernel boots, works, almost everything works perfectly except the display.
The display works fine right after booting up. However, after phone display shuts off and I wake it up again, the color on the display get's inverted. Here is what I mean.
Exactly after booting up:

After display turns off and I wake it up (by presing power button):

Can anyone help me fix this?
Hi everyone,
I just created an app that controls rotations, currently Auto-rotation, Landscape and Portrait.
As the title stated, this app uses proximity sensor as an additional button. If you use your finger and wave two consecutive times at it, the toggles will be triggered.
It is very convenient when you just start the video and forget to set your orientation to auto or when you need to rotate a video or a photo. With this app, you do not need to swipe from the top trying to open the notification panel and find the orientation toggle anymore.
Moreover, you can even customize the color of the toggle. Simple as that, this app makes your phone work for you.
You can download from playstore: Smart Rotation (package name: com.nqk.instantrotation)
Please email me any feedback or suggestion, I am new to android development and willing to expand my limit.

Hi,
I'm based out of India and enabled this module but don't see power button twice for camera option anywhere in settings. And double press power button still isn't leading to camera.
Let me know if you'd need logs or anything for debugging.
The normal MIUI Rom supports screen recordings from the system. These are integrated into the Video toolbox and the Game Turbo and are also available as a toggle in the quick settings. All buttons (in the Video toolbox, in the Game Turbo and in the quick settings) are available on my Pad 5 Pro, but the actual app is missing in the system and an error message appears every time you try to record the screen or nothing happens at all. Is there a possibility to install this app additionally?
0. Unfortunately, I could not take the screenshot from the quick settings because the button disappeared after a failed attempt.
