Howdy all,
Does any one kno of a calendar app that will sync (google calendar) more than a month in the past. I use my phone to log my hours at work whilst offshore and where I was ect ect. As the standard calender doesn't...
I have found a few work around by exporting the full callender online and reporting ect ect... But I thought there must be an app that allows you too choose how far back you want too sync...
Been searching for a few days and I can't seam to find any thing that does what I want.

I've been using an app called Gemini Calendar (Free and paid versions available, Free works wonders).
It syncs my calendars, as far back and forward as I put stuff into my GCal's - all seven of them. One of which I made is a Holidays Calendar, and put dates back starting in 2010, and it updates back, and all the recurring ones since. Might wanna give it a shot.
Still no sync
Howdy mate tried that app couldn't make it download my calender with anything older than a month in the past... ( FRUSTRATING )
Is a good looking app any way

That's really odd... because I added a whole bunch of things in my Google Cal just last night, dating back to early 2010, and they all worked. Which ROM / Firmware / BB you using ?
On my phone the stock calendar syncs to the day I got a Google account. Have you tried to sync manually (Sync/google account/Sync Calendar)? I had to do it once after flashing new Android version.
Try "Jorte"
its Free and it have the specific feature "Copy Data From Google to Jorte" with specific Date (beside usual sync)

Yeah if I add an event in the past it will sync that event. But the events that have been there Since 2009 dont sync. I found a request for this on the code.google here is the link

Unless I'm doing it wrong jorte don't seem to do out either I set the date too 1-1-05 and next year but I sill only get the last month...

so, bought one of these today to use alongside my desire. Signed in with my google account as usual, but for some reason am unable to download anything off the android market, it'll say starting download, but gets no further. Tried googling it but none of the fixes i've seen will work. Anyone got any idea's before i take it back tomorrow??

I had the same problem the other day. Turned out that my internal memory was "full" although I hade som MB to spare. Couldn't download any new apps or update existing ones until I removed some apps.
Same problem here in Germany with the market. Don't know what's wrong today.
Well, I sorted it in the end by creating a new gmail email address for my mini and using import and export tools on google to swap my contacts and calendar from one account to the other. As soon as I signed in it then worked. I have no idea why. I've been using my other account on 2 hero's and 2 different desires for some time. :-/

Can someone help my timescape is not refreshing my facebook status's any suggestions ?
Mine is doing the same thing right now. It was working fine then nothing. My last update was like 17hrs ago.

+1. On all three SE X10 forums I use its a problem. Facebook must have changed something cos I haven't changed anything on my phone (I don't think).

One of the big reasons people bought this phone(well, atleast me) was for Timescape - and my facebook hasn't updated for 22 hours now - LOL
I have seen this happen to several other phones and manufacturers. Maybe this means 2.1 is coming soon! Jk

I use Timescape everyday, its the most useful feature on the phone. Once they sort out the speed lagging issue in 2.1 I will set it as my home screen

Same I use this app everyday seriously is one of the best features of the phone and now its broke !!
My Facebook spline hasn't updated in 2 days either, and doesn't seem to if I click Refresh. Perhaps Facebook changed their API?
Mine did not update for more than 17 hours, and just 30 minutes ago, it starts updating again. It must have been a problem with Facebook itself...
Given up and now using Facebook widget and ditched Timescape til I see on one of the forums that its sorted. Got a twitter app and not worried about calls/sms/pics for time being. Shame, its one of the things I liked about phone altho picture quality on it was pretty rubbish.
Same thing happened to me. I even re-installed the OS through SEUS because I thought that it was me that I messed with something. Now Facebook is not refreshing, telling me that the latest update was from 30 hours ago, and I can't log into twitter because it keeps telling me that either my username or password are wrong... tried them on twitter.com and I have them right... so wtf?
Lol I gave up with timescape a long time ago. It has always been buggy.
My twitter app is perfect for me, tweetcaster. The only real annoyance remaining for me is the lack of a decent facebook app.

I'm hating this SO MUCH. I can login on twitter in Firefox and even the Android Web Browser, but none of the Twitter apps work. Call it Timescape, Twidroid, nothing.
I hate when this happens... this phone is starting to overwhelm me with the god damned bugs.

I just went to the browser and typed www.facebook.com.
It redirected to the touch site which ow and behold is 12 hours behind. My assumption is this be our trouble causer....

Right okay so my facebook just alerted me that I have a no friend request and it appeared on Timescape also but still no status's what the hell is going on

I think Timescape gets the update from facebook touch site, cause every time you click on the panel it takes you to the touch site.
If there is a delay with touch site updates, looks like Timescape got affected
Android stock email isn't the fastest for imap.
I tend to use K9 for this.
However, this isn't tied into timescape...
I kinda like the idea of one esthetic overview of my calls, texts and email. Since I use my phone for business, I don't really need twitter or facebook.
I tried executive assistant and pure messenger. They are ok but not half as nice as timescape...
Do you know of any other good alternatives for timescape?

You must have Launcher Pro Plus (paid app)
you can try tweetdeck! or hootsuite! both are free in market!

I can sync from Google to Dolphin no problem but if add a new bookmark on phone then sync again it wont add the bookmark i just made to google
I can export my bookmarks no probem to SD card as well is importing them,
same for stock browser.
Hope someone can shed some light on this

If you have upgraded to version 5.0.0 sync to Google has been removed. In the options you will see backup and restore. Works like a champ and keeps them in alphabetical order as well.
I can't even sync from Google to phone. It just says 'Sync successfully' but no bookmarks appear in bookmarks. I already wrote to the support, so I hope they can fix it.

And what version are you using? If you look at my post above in current version 5.0.0 synch has been removed, so no matter how many times you click on synch it won't. All bookmarks to SD does now, is just that, saves your bookmarks to your memory card.
Are you sure? Because if they remove it then why is there the tab for syncing? And I wrote them that it didn't work and they just asked if I have newest version... strange. It is feature I am really looking for. I still don't understand why the default browser don't have bookmarks sync...
I will ask them again to be sure.

That is because it isn't supported anymore you need to use backup and restore inside of the dolphin settings. From what I remember it was like version 6.9 or so they stopped using it.

Thanks for the answer! I read that in several different forums but it was never stated in any Dolphin forum so I just wanted to check... it actually sucks pretty bad and makes me want ICS even more so I can use the Chrome browser.
It works on my Streak 7 ICS build and it makes it real nice to be able to go from computer to tabler and have all that right there

They discontinued support because they did not agree with Google's privacy policy. Bad enough Big Brother knows what you are looking and for how long, but now they want to know what bookmarks you keep.... Am with you on ICS that is why I can't wait till the Note drops in prices, think Streak 5 seeing it was crushed by a bus in South Korea (hPA's work, _n0p_ said his skill set was well above his and was the one the few that might have made it happen....).

Yeah I hear ya... I was looking at one Saturday at the Samsung store at the mall, and it's lighter than my Streak but just a hair thicker since it has that rounded back, but that makes it more comfortable to hold, and the form factor is no larger than the Streak so I will definitely be getting one as soon as it comes down in price from the clouds or a good used one
My Facebook push notifications have stopped coming through. Nothing I do seems to work.
First I cleared the application data – a fix I found on Google (this fixed it last time it happened about 4 months ago).
Then I uninstalled the app, rebooted the phone (stock unrooted Vodafone SGS2, reinstalled but still no joy.
Can anybody please help?
Yep mine stopped too so I have actually turned back on email notifications, now that is reliable ...
I will soon ditch FB anyway so ...
How long ago did it stop? Mine stopped sometime Tuesday night.
Have you tired clearing the application data.
Try the blackberry workaround. It worked to me.

Same problem here, im on XXLPB they have not been working for the last 3 days
Generally it can be solved as-go to your main phone settings, applications, manage applications, facebook, clear data/cache. then open the app and resign in.
Also, in main settings, accounts & sync, is facebook enabled? is background data and auto sync checked?
in all the years ive had android Ive never had them working. I tried the Blackberry workaround last week and I received one notification and then it stopped again.
Back to Friendcaster, buggy but at least notifications work
For some reason facebook messenger has stopped notifying for me too.
Im using friendcaster -- some issue, but overally far more responsive than official app

I own a Samsung Wave, the first one, and the social hub premium on Bada -its OS- does support Facebook with messenger and push!!!
I'm tired of asking Samsung support why the same functionality is not implemented in the social hub for android!!
The Samsung Facebook application for Bada works flawlesly, push, messenger, uploads, everything. Yet, on this device, Samsung's Flagship, social hub sucks big time, it sucks so much that users are left having to install other apps for the same functionality that could be already integrated into Android by Samsung...
Sorry for the OT, just venting a rant because I share the same push problems you do....
