MediaScape won't install on Xperia 2.3.3
I'm dealing with the same problem with my Sony Xperia 2.3 I have Timescape but i don't have MediaScape. So i tried downloading the Mediascape apk. from the web , and install it to the sd card but it replies application won't install
Anyone go ideas
I also want mediascpe on 2.3.3.

It came as a surprise to me.

official? I don't think so. you should ask if they deliver the phone with the 2.3 installed. (maybe they sell it with an custom rom installed) I have see stores that do that.
only miniCM7.2 include 2.3.7
There is nothing like this in the official Forums from SE.. 2.1 Eclair is the latest update for ourx10 mini´s.

All 2010 devices from sony ( x10, x8, x10 mini, x10 mini pro and whatever i forgot to mention ) have been given an update to Android 2.1 (Eclair) and that's it.
There is no Stock Rom for our devices from there on, so no Froyo or Gingerbread. The reason this site exists is to allow us to bypass the limitations set by the hardware manufacturers and run software beyond what they give us.
So, if you want Froyo or Gingerbread.. run a custom rom, you can find many of them in the development section of this forum. If you want Gingerbread or ICS stock.. buy a newer device from Sony

Just in case you're not aware of it, your phone needs an unlocked bootloader to do that, pay very close attention to see if your simlock-certificate is supported, otherwise you will lose the capability to use it as a phone.

I just obtained a new x10 mini E10i with android 1.6 and would like to get it to CyanogenMod 7.2. I am confused a bit by the jargon and possible pitfalls in the steps to mod. I believe the sequence is something like this:
upgrade to official SE Android 2.1 on the Sony support site.
use SuperoneClick to "root" the device
follow instructions on this site for the upgrade to CM 7.2
Is that about it? Do I need to get to 2.3 before I go to CM?
